Would like to give this jewel of a place more stars, but the golf paths are in pretty rough shape on the front nine, which is somewhat open, but slanting one way or another. This is all slated to be updated. The back nine is a bit nicer and harder to play, and requires more control on some tight fairways. The little pub is fun to hang out in after a round, especially with the "Thursday" group. Houses provide nice views overlooking this gated and very relaxed community as well as the valley area. I do like this community so much that I am buying a place there and will close in a few weeks. The houses on the back side of the mountain face the Blue Ridge Parkway, and tend to be larger lots (mine is just over an acre). Deer, flocks of wild turkeys (and an occasional bear) all roam through the community and it is quite peaceful.

Huge disappointment! Price is right at $35 all inclusive, staff was very nice and greens were quick and consistent. Thats where the positives stop. Tees were dead, bare or needed mowing with pockets of weeds. Fairways and rough all needed mowed. Huge lack of maintenance and upkeep. Such potential for this course with bubbling creeks that cant be seen due to tons of weeds and views obscured by same. Bunkers were not bunkers with little or no sand and a lot of weeds. Through the weeds you can see some very nice stonework in area around creeks. Had high expectations for a NC golf course. Would definitely not play again.

Great staff and well prepared for our shotgun start with 32 players. Some great views and pretty holes. Gets a 3 star because about 7 to 8 holes were in poor shape. Hgh grass in fairways, no sand in bunkers and numerous tee boxes with no grass. holes around the club house and neighborhood seem to get more attention from maintenance.
