Brevard was booked so my wife and I stayed a night here and found it to be just what we were looking for, a comfortable clean room, with everything working. Patio looked out over golf course...a nice view. The included breakfast at the clubhouse was fantastic. serve yourself eggs, bacon, potatoes, biscuits and our favorite fresh cut up fruit. Coffee could have been better but tbh weve both become a bit snobbish about coffee in our 40s so its probably fine for most. The only slight con I would mention is the place is a bit spread out. e.g. you drive from the check in to the building where our room was. and you walk a short distance to breakfast. Then again its a golf club resort kind of place, not a Comfort Inn. I would stay there again.

We are locals who have now eaten dinner three times...Bar is great, very friendly barman with extensive beer selection and professionally made mixed drinks. As far as the dining side, menu is hit or miss. Prime rib Fridays had requested doneness requests all over the place. One night the prime rib came with a gelatinous gravy instead of au jus. Pecan crusted trout very good as are the scallops. Salads seem prepared and cold box stored for a day or more. Two out of our three servers were really miserable poor things who seemed very unhappy at their jobs with a "I cant wait to get off my shift and out of here attitude" Probably will keep our visits to a hamburger at the bar from now on..

Very disappointed. Although the food was really good, the course needs major work. Fairways are horrible, could barely tell where the fairway ended and rough began. Greens were slow and grainy. It would help if they verticut the greens to get the grain out. The bunkers were very inconsistent, need to check the sand levels. Also the flower beds were all dead and unappealing, and a lot of spots that needed weedeating. It could be a decent course if they paid attention to details, and reinvested some money back into the course. Obviously they have competition that has taken play away from the course. I would definitely recommend the food at Zekes though.

Etowah Valley Country Club is a top notch establishment nestled in the Valley between Hendersonville and Brevard with a team of employees eager to meet your every need. Whether your visit may include golf or the pro shop, tennis, croquet, fine dining or Lodging, the staff is always eager to meet your every want and desire that you may have. While Im not exactly sure why the "At a Glance section on here says it is a 9-hole course, EVCC has not 9 or 18, but 27 holes total listed as North, South, and West if I remember correctly. It is a challenging course for the novice and advanced golfer alike with a few par 5s and many par 4 level holes.

The location of the lodge was a bit of a surprise due to driving some distance from the main highway. However, once at the said lodge, my family and I were surprised at the size of our room as well having a view of the golf course right outside of our sliding door. The main Lodge and the two restaurants are located only a short walk from our room. Relaxed atmosphere and easy going staff members greeted us when we ate supper. The food was decent, although what we had was simple. Overall, for a one night stay, the golf course/lodge was a nice place to stay.

Golf course was a good layout. Conditions were below average except greens which were in excellent shape. Pace of play was horrible and the ranger did nothing. It took almost three hours to play nine holes. The guy behind the counter in the proshop was lifeless. It also appears that if you book on GolfNow you are less of a person because you dont pay full price. I wouldnt waste your money playing here with many more courses to choose from.

The hotel was nice and quaint. The room seemed to be damp/moist which made everything, including my clothes feel wet. There was a constant smell throughout our stay. It wasnt horribly noticeable and not exactly bad but, probably comes from the dampness. Staff was very friendly and professional. Neighboring guests were never loud or unruly. If you like golf, its the place to stay. Overall, we had a nice visit.

Staff very friendly. Played north course it is like a cow pasture. Had tee time for 18 holes and when we arrived told us all courses were closed so we would play north twice. Course so backed up it took over 3 hours to play 9. We left because to start 9 again was even more backed up. Dont waste your money. We will never play there again

Breakfast at Chelseas this morning may have been my best breakfast ever. Fajita Omlette was out of this world great!! Before breakfast muffins were fresh and I could have kept eating them. Service was fun and friendly. Omlette with sides and coffee which also was good, 13. O0. I am coming back with family and friends on Sundays.

Decent and Fun! Each 9 hole set has 2 hard holes or holes that make you think. I played 2 different times first North and South courses with 18 holes and 2nd the west course by itself. West would be the top of the three and toughest. The course or courses is worth a try especially for the pricing. Enjoy!!!

Three decent and different 9-hole sections to choose from, but often slow play due to various groups not understanding golf etiquette to allow faster players to play through. Staff is nice, food and bar areas are friendly and comfortable. Overall, not a bad place to play or hang out.

This place is a class act. The Etowah Valley Golf Club & Lodge has a welcoming staff, outstanding quality food and charming rooms right on the challenging golf course. Highly recommend for a western North Carolina getaway.

Love this place, we had our 25th high school reunion here and the staff took great care of us and we totally enjoyed ourselves. The golfing was great, drinks cold and you couldnt ask for better. Will be back.

Stayed in a room with two double beds. The hotel is old and the room was run down, but the bed was comfortable and the heater worked. Breakfast is better than most continental breakfasts.
