My issue with this Y is not related to their services, equipment, or even their facilities. If I were rating these, Id give them 4 or 5 stars. My issue is with the constant confusion and problems weve had with setting up and managing accounts. For these, they deserve a definitive 1 star in my book. First, I added myself to my wifes account, but they screwed up the payments and it took them over a month to figure out that I was a member (though they were taking money for my addition). I had to remove myself from the account and restart it ... IN PERSON. Next, I find it crazy that you cannot make ANY changes to the account over the phone. Imagine if you had to drive to the local cell phone or TV service office every time you wanted to make a change. This is the 21st century; yet this (and maybe other) place requires you drive there in person. I recently requested to restart my account (which you really cant do, you have to start a WHOLE NEW one) and to add my daugther who already was a member. Then things got crazy. They showed me as the primary person, but they started withdrawing money from HER bank account (an unauthorized amount). But of course SHE couldnt go down there and fix it. Even taking a VOIDed check from me (with my name on it), Siskey REFUSED to accept it to withdraw the money. I havent been in a month now, and I have to personally drive there (about a 20 minute drive) to close the account. They wouldnt even remove my daughter from the account AT HER REQUEST! That is just insane, and I will make sure someone in management there knows of this. They need to update their policies to 21st century business practice, and get out of the 19th century. Needless, I wont be restarting my account again.

Been a on-and-off member of this YMCA for many years due being in college and other things. But this YMCA has been consistent with their wonderful staffs, always kept everything spotless, and I couldnt recall a bad experience with them as well. This YMCA has swimming pool, sauna, steam room, basketball courts, indoor/outdoor running tracks, separate locker rooms for adults, and it even have a waiting room with loveseats and couches where you can see your kids taking a swimming lesson through windows. I go to this YMCA mainly for weight-lifting, they basically have everything that suits to my needs, such as squat racks, benches, dumbbells. There are a lot of Smith Machines as well. I found out that the best time to attend this YMCA is early morning, I usually go there as soon it is open, but normally between 5-8 am, there are few but serious/focused people doing their routines and they always offer good tips and are very willing to spot you. Anytime between 4 to 8 and this YMCA will be very packed due to people being off work as well high school being out for the day, so keep that in mind. So, if youre a serious power-lifter, this is the place for you! Cheers.

The worst, terrible experience. I got injured taking swim lessons there and the entire staff couldnt care less and only covered for each other rather than doing the right thing and admitting they and especially, the swim instructor, Amanda, were at fault. They were inexperienced and rude. That is not the Christian way nor is it professional. Please be careful, especially with these swim instructors. Amanda is not even a good swimmer. She taught the course fully dressed and not in the pool. How do you teach a swim course like that? She is very naive and unprofessional. Buyer beware. I have kids and would be afraid if they were being taught by this group. Morgan or Amanda did not even apologize, rather they tried to ignore me or help in any way. Very pathetic service and for this place to be advertising swim lessons is appalling.

Ive been going to the Siskey Y for 3 years now and have for the most part enjoyed the "Y" community. The Staff has been friendly and polite with the exception of one person who is at the front desk. I thought I had possibly done something wrong although I couldnt think of anything because all Ive ever said to this person is "Hello". When I would walk in the front door this person at the desk would often make eye contact and then look away to carry on a conversation with another front desk person. When I mentioned this to one of the other Staff members their response was "Oh thats Ginger, shes like that with everyone." Thinking that was a fluke I approached another Staff member and got the same response. So my question ...why is Ginger working the front desk?

Used to be great a few years ago but not anymore. The womens sauna, steam room and showers are disgusting and in disrepair for the past 5 years. With mold, missing tiles, and loose wood planks, these spaces are a health hazard and an accident waiting to happen. Unfortunately, nothing has been done to improve them despite complaints. The afternoon pool hours are increasingly catered to swim lessons through which the Y earns income, leaving very little space for regular paying members who would like to swim laps. Disappointing.

Ive been a member for over a year and have used the facility 3+ times every week. Every staff member that Ive encountered has been extremely nice. The outside summer pool is amazing for children. The exercise equipment is great. Childcare (which I use religiously) is PHENOMENAL. We just started swim lessons and our experience has been perfect. I cant say enough about this facility and the way weve been treated. Thank you! Worth every penny.

I love this Y! Everyone has been so friendly and they have the best child watch program. We live closer to Morrison, but my kids demand Siskey because they can actually work out there too while they wait for me. Their classes have been a ball so far. I guess the only downside would be that it is older than other facilities and might not seem as clean.

if I could choose zero stars I would. The facility is sufficient, however the childwatch is sub par at best. It is uncoordinated, is not run well, teachers would not tell me when there was an incident with my child, ex. pushing, hitting. We chose to go to a different y because of the childwatch.

So far as Ive seen and experienced the only thing I would change, Sunday hours, but seeing as how this is in the bible belt I wont drop the rating due to it. This Y should be the national model. My ymca in WV is a 180* difference, ymca of south west virgina.

Excellent experience day after day at this YMCA, even with its large membership the staff and the instructors do a great job. Need 3 lanes for lap swimmers at all times but they have to make space for the water exercise group and I can get up earlier :)

Im giving it a 1 star because the area of the indoor pool is dirty, and the showers stalls are dirty too. Its really needed to be scrub from the wall to the floor. Sometimes, the people at the desks are nice , sometimes, not.
