My Review is based SOLEY on the Starter. Yesterday was my second time playing Ramblewood, in a while. Unfortunately, both times, I encountered the same unfriendly Starter. He would be smiling and talking nicely to everyone, but his whole demeanor changed when he spoke to me. Being a solo African American Female, his treatment is uncomfortable. I dont know his name, but he was on duty @10:30AM on June 21, 2017. Even the Caucasian guys in the Twosome that I was grouped with noticed his tone when speaking to me. I play alone, a lot, throughout NJ and PA....and never do I feel as uncomfortable as with this guy. If I were the type of person to make a scene, this dude wouldve gotten an ear full. The Gentleman in the Pro Shop was extremely friendly and courteous. So were the other 4 Gentlemen, in uniform, that I walked passed...all smiled and spoke kindly. As usual, the course was great and the speed of play wasnt bad at all. Im a pretty good golfer and I came to play and enjoy the beautiful course. His tone and expressions were fresh on my mind and it took about 5 holes before I could settle my thoughts and get into the game. At the end of play, I managed an 83 round.

Tough place to review, Its strange because its one of the better public courses in the area. Ill say that for sure. But something is always missing, I go often probably 4 times a month cause friends like to go there, but you see the cart beverage person once a round of your lucky, they charge real high price compared, and even pretty late into the day where you might not even get 18 in due to traffic. Three time in last two seasons Ive gone and they have the holes on the green for aerating including mid August! Still full charge but your putting all over bumps. If a ambassador comes by he is usually nothing but rude and assuming we broke some rule on purpose. It just seems overall that the price charged is to much for not having the full package even though I feel like they act like they do. Need better service is all really, and warn people when conditions suck

Im an occasional golfer and played Ramblewood for my first time on a small corporate outing this weekend. Despite the ridiculous heat on Saturday (102 degrees!), the course was in remarkable condition and the staff was top notch. I really enjoyed the layout of the course, it had a good mix of challenging holes and was very well landscaped. Though they must have been feeling the heat as much as we were, the staff certainly didnt show it - our service was speedy and friendly all day long. When one of our carts broke down due to the extreme heat, one of the staff members brought out a replacement and had us moving again in no time. Im no pro, but the guys in the pro shop and clubhouse really seemed to know the game. I cant say Ill come back to play in this kind of heat again, but Ill definitely be back to the course and so will my company!

In recent years, this course has had its ups and downs, but honestly, the entire facility is amazing now that Ron Jaworski Golf took it over and gave this course the proper face-lift it deserved! With the wet Spring weve had, the course is in phenomenal shape, the new bar is modern, with a great selection of beer on tap. The reception rooms (although I havent personally attended) look great from what I can tell. Ron Jawoski golf has done it again, turned an average / declining course, into a another gem tucked away in Suburban South Jersey! Hit em straight and Ill see you out on the fairway!

I thought this place was up and coming but a recent outing there changed my mind. We had set up a reservation to play 18 as part of a business meeting. When we got there we were told they would try to fit us in between two regularly scheduled events needless to say we only played 9. Our customers were disappointed and we looked like we didnt know what we were doing. This place needs to treat all customer with respect. Taking our reservation when you knew we couldnt finish before your other event was unprofessional.

We hosted a Celebration of Life event and couldnt of been more pleased with the newly renovated classic design of the venue, helpful, professional staff, well-prepared, tasty, buffet lunch and all for a competitive price. I was grateful to have been allowed in a day prior to our event to set up some displays since the room wasnt being used. Anna, the event planner was responsive and has great suggestions. The staff was thoughtful and hardworking. I would highly recommend Ramblewood.

Very disappointed. Made a tee time ahead of time. Waited at every hole for the first nine-so slow. Turned the corner to start the next 9 and a jerk jumped ahead of us. So there were people on the green, people mid-fairway, and people on the tee, and then us waiting. They overbook and dont control anything about the flow. Use to like it there but it has been this way the last 2 times-just like Eaglesnest. Overbooked and slow.

After a bad first experience, Ramblewood has done everything necessary to regain my business, and I intend to play here often in the future. Mr. Goodwin and the rest of his staff go above and beyond to ensure that their customers are given the best experience possible. If youre looking for a nice day of golf for a reasonable price, Ramblewood is the place to go. Also, the newly renovated bar is beautiful.

So I try not to ever give 5 stars. You have to blow me away with your product for me to 5 star your establishment. Ramblewood has done just that. The upgrades done by Jaws/Flacco are stellar. Those blue tees are viciously hard, but I wont knock this course because of my mediocre skills. If youre looking for a course to play, Ramblewood is up there and should be in your regular rotation.

I was there after hearing about some of the positive changes at the course and within management and was thrilled with the experience. I had a great round, too, so that didnt hurt. Ive already set up another tee time for this weekend - as long as the wife allows me! The course conditions and the high level of service were phenomenal. Great bang for the buck and will gladly return.

Was an employee. Horrible pay, we got treated as slaves. Barely any hours given to any employee due to the reason that they didnt wanna pay over time and benefits. No lunch/dinner breaks. If there were a day that there was no event planned and we were coming into work as a server or food runner, we wouldnt get fed. Other than that, foods good, employees are great.

They cant seem to remember to put out trays for used plates (during buffets) or a trash basket for sugar packets by the coffee table. Also, the old owner always had cheesecake for a dessert option. Now that seems to be gone. Plus, desserts dont seem to come out until after dinner, whereas they used to be available during an entire buffet dinner meeting.

The 2 million put into the clubhouse really shows. Clean, refreshed, and modern look really has reinvigorated this once before slightly above average country club. The positive changes on the golf course show too. Better greens, better fairways, better paved cart paths, and opened up tree lines a big plus. A big win for our local area!
