I am giving this place 2 stars for several reasons. First let me start with the positives because there are a few things about this place that I actually liked. I was looking for a space to have my wedding reception only and I came across Fontaine Vineyards searching online. The owner whose name is Jackie set me up with a tour the following week. First off let me start my saying the best thing about this place is the view. It has amazing views of the mountains and they have a tent and pavillion already set up for you to use. Also, you can not beat the price. Compared to the other venues in Asheville, this place is very cheap and affordable and is great for anyone who is on a super tight budget. Ok so now on to the negatives. Jackie from the start seemed a little pushy. She gave us the tour and then afterwards brought up into the office to go over details. She continued to brag about how booked they were and how everybody wanted to get married there. My thing is, is you guys are so popular and busy and booked, how come you have my date available for a wedding reception which is in one of the busiest wedding months AND is only 4 months away? And how come the prices are so cheap?! I kept telling myself that something didnt feel right but I loved the view so much I told Jackie the following week to put us down for the date. She told me to send a check for the deposit which I couldnt at the time because I had ran out of checks so I ordered more and would send as soon as the checks came in. Lets just say I am so glad that I was out of checks! I sent Jackie numerous emails asking questions and trying to get everything set up for the reception. She then goes on to tell me that we were not allowed to do a tasting for the food. Now, dont get me wrong, Im not wedding expert, but never have I ever heard of a place that does not let you try out the food before you buy for a wedding reception! When I asked Jackie about some of the prices, she basically would tell me to "look at the package I sent you" . She would never just directly answer my questions and the more we spoke the more uneasy I became about using this venue. The last straw was when I emailed her asking her questions about the tables and chairs and using other vendors. Well this time, Jackie didnt email back. I called her to see what was going on. She called back and left a voicemail and basically told me that she wasnt going to email me back until she received a check. yeah, that pretty much did it for me. All in all, not a bad place however, this is MY WEDDING DAY and I did not feel comfortable with the service and felt uneasy about using Fontaine Vineyards as my venue.

We could not ask for a better wedding venue. The staff at Fontaine, especially Jackie and Isabelle, were extremely professional, organized, and made everything perfect. The venue is amazing, the food is excellent, the cake is delicious, the service and quality is top notch. All of our guests raved about the venue, and how beautiful it was. We had the best experience, and we could not ask for a better place to spend our wedding. I wish there was a score higher than 5 starts to give!! Book Fontaine Vineyards for your next event! I had the best time. Did a Bachelorette tasting and wound up buying like five bottles and hanging out all day. Such a personal experience with the owners and SUCH a beautiful view. Wine was good, I was skeptical because it was so cheap, but seriously so good and worth it. I am writing this on the way home after a couple bottles split between us. We had such a good time. I have never liked a Riesling in my life and its so good.

I had the most beautiful and stress-free wedding thanks to Jackie and her staff. The venue is gorgeous and I couldnt believe how affordable it was (especially if youve shopped for wedding venues in Asheville). We opted to use their service for catering, which included the wedding cake. Everything was so delicious. Our guests had a great time and my husband and I had the wedding of our dreams!

What a phenomenal experience!!! The expertise, attention to detail, and sheer love exercised by the Fontaine Family and their support staff was beyond measure. The mountain-top vineyard is an oasis that provides a breath-taking 360 degree scenic experience that is without a doubt amazing. Thank you Fontaine Vineyards for making our Wedding Day a truly magical experience!
