On Sunday June 25, I went with my nephew and my sister to see Captain Underpants. It was a 3:15 showing, we sat in the first 2 rows so as to not bother anyone, well it seems that as my nephew had a small and quick meltdown, that lasted all of 5 minutes and a patron reported him and my sister to the attendant. Now, instead of the young attendant coming over, asking if there was a problem, addressing that someone had reported my nephew. He walked by 4 times, huffing and puffing, staring at us until it then became uncomfortable to watch the movie. My sister walked up to him, asked him why he was staring at her and if there was a problem? He said that there was a patron that complained about my nephew and that she would have to leave. She then explained to him that her son was special needs and before she could finish her sentence the manager walked up, interrupted her and stated that the attendant was doing the right thing and that it didnt matter if he was special needs, they had to make sure everyone else was comfortable and was told to leave. Never have I seen such discrimination towards a special needs child before. Not to mention the day before at the Arsley theater, the staff was amazing and accommodating. This ordeal was embarrassing and heartbreaking as well that my nephew was not allowed to go to his local theater to watch a children movie because of a condition that he was born with. I told my sister to stay since she had paid her money just like everyone else but after the manager made her feel like her son didnt matter she chose not to fight that battle. I will never return to this theater.

Outdated facility that caters HEAVILY to the most mass of mass - um - customers. The avoidance of the word audience is intentional (obvious by the um insertion) as this would imply the marketing and finance gurus at Regal have even the slightest respect for anyone in the community it (dis)serves. We avoid Regal at Franklin except in the most desperate of escapism fixes. The technical quality of the theaters is beyond sub-par. Most of the screens nay even present true surround sound - even if they had this capability the sound quality of the cheap and underpowered speaker systems would not make this matter. If your sensual palate makes you an individual that relishes in the nasal pleasure of must you will be in a full fledged stimulated state for as long as you can bare. On more than 50% of the occasions you patronize this Regal theater the showing of the film you original journeyed to see will actually be available. However, the rest of those occasions will find you blindsided by an additional showing of an extreme low-brow flick instead of the movie you had your heart upon. SUPER DISLIKE!

I would never ever ever ever go to this theater if you paid me. It smells. Literally. Bathrooms are always gross and some kid was raped in there so obviously not safe either. The screens suck. The sound is busted in half the speakers. Some rooms are set up where there is no optimal vision of the screen. The popcorn and other concessions are too overpriced. Oh. And I went a couple times just because I wanted to avoid the traffic to Northlake where they have an actual real theater and they dont suck and Ive always taken my very quiet breastfed baby. On the off chance she did get unsettled Id rush her out at first wimper. Went today, just on a whim and they refused to sell me tickets if my hubby and I had her. Shes 6 months old. Am I supposed to live in a box? They never said a word before. Ill never spend one more cent at this nasty child hating crap hole.

Id give it more of a 3.5 honestly, but you cant do half stars here so I rounded up. It could be a lot better, but could also be a lot worse (Hello! Remember Water Tower on a weekend during the summer??? With parents who drop their kids off with a $5 spot... who stayed and snuck into one theater after another... and shot gummy bears all over the screens... and spilled their drinks all over the floor starting from the top of the theater seating...) Theaters are mostly clean. They recently (in the last year or so) updated their seats to something more comfortable. The sound is decent (depending on the theater inside). Popcorn isnt burnt and carbonation in drinks is fine.

To a below poster: YOU DO NOT TAKE BABIES TO MOVIES. Sure, its your right to be self centered and inconsiderate of others that paid to enjoy the movie. However, the sound can do SERIOUS damage to their ears as well cause seizures and anxiety. You should be ashamed of yourself. Yeah, if you cant get a sitter then you dont go. You are no longer the most important thing in your world. Welcome to being a responsible parent. I hate this theatre but they got 2 more stars for refusing you.

I live less than 5 minutes from the theater but as a movie buff I find myself often driving 30+ minutes to watch on a bigger screen. There are no true IMAX screens in Charlotte Metro area, just the awful liemaxes. Closest big screens are in Atlanta and Raleigh. There is a real opportunity to build a end all theater. If you build it they will come! service is good here, theaters are "ok". There is nothing wrong with this theaters, there are just better theaters out there.

It is the only theater we got in Gastonia, So no one ever complain but after awhile with sitting in those chairs you start to get uncomfortable. The place is clean and the staff is so sweet unless they are the ones distributing the tickets cause for whatever reason they always have the awfullest attitude every time i go and they forget to ask if i have a regal card... so half the time it gets scanned even though i will tell them i have one. But the bathrooms are clean.

Screw this place. If youre under 17 and you want to go alone with your friends without parents on the weekends until 4pm, dont even try to go because anyone who fit that exact desciption is banned. I use to like this place til some people screwed it all up for me and my girlfriend. Its not fair to me and its not fair to the people who actually wanna see movies here. So I say whoever is under 17 and wanna see a movie that starts after 4, go somewhere else

Ok so like Im 13 and I want to go see a PG rated movie, which I have done like hundreds of times, with a friend (mind you we have been doing this since we were like 11) and I cant. I even went and saw an R rated movie w my mother buying the tickets and us going in. My mother was even even going to come up and buy the tickets so we could see it but they wouldnt let us. This is going to cause you to lose many customers.

I went there to see the new It movie. By the time I come out my truck and one other vehicle have been broken into in the parking lot. The movie theater has no cameras outside and the police told me that this was their 30th call to that very parking lot. Management seemed very unconcerned about my vehicle and couldnt care less. Do not go here unless you want your vehicle broken into.
