The American Theatre has incredible staff which make the experience more enjoyable with their friendly personalities. They have everything one should desire when going to the movies. That includes snacks, drinks, comfortable seating, and new releases.

My hometown theater. Such a lovely spot to watch a movie. Comfortable seating and has a good supply and variety of snacks. Always up to date with the newest movies. Also, right around the corner from an ice cream store.

Went to see dont breath.snacks are cheaper then watertown, chairs r comfortable and they have booster seats for little kids that lock onto the seats.we usually go 1x a month and love this little hometown theatre!!

Place is falling apart. Have no clue how the building passes code. Look at the ceiling. Saying that, there arent many options in the area. Its annoying how its cash only too.

American theater in Canton is a quaint old-fashioned venue in a small northern NY town. Its not fancy and it could use some renovating, but its charming and a local favorite!

Its older and outdated needs a lot of improvements but it has good matinee deals every couple of days and works with college students to give good movie deals.

Certainly doesnt compare to the big stadium venues, but theyve got good screens and equipment, and front line movies. Canton is lucky to have this theater!
