I wish I loved Randall Oaks. Pros: * A great driving range. * A beautiful course which while beginners may feel overwhelmed on at times its definitely a challenge and a good round of golf. * When I first started to golf a few years ago I took lessons here with Bob Mertel and he definitely did a fantastic job of giving me the foundations in the 5 lesson package. *Their Acorn 3-hole Par 3 is a great way to start out new golfers. Cons: * The staff (other than their Pros) are neutral to unfriendly. They push rate of play on the course to the point that its hard to relax and enjoy a round of golf. With that being one of the fundamental points of going out to golf this is a big issue with me. Since theyre always busy, they havent had to bother with improving the customer service side of their business. * The club house is a bit simplistic. Not surprising for it being a park district course its just in stark comparison to the quality of the greens. In summary I really want to love Randall Oaks, and if they ever figure out customer service then this could quickly become one of my favorite courses, but right now I tend to only come for the driving range and then play elsewhere such as Pinecrest or Prairie Isle.

This has been a favorite course of mine for many years but Frank the guy who runs the place has forced my friends and I to play else where. As someone else has said he tries to run the place like a country club and it’s a park district/public course and though rules are rules this guy cuts no deals not even for the local school kids and is strictly by the book on everything. Very unfriendly and almost Gestapo in nature. You feel like there’s always a set of eyes on you and God for bid if you step out of line! - I play golf to have fun and maybe this guy just gets under my skin! One time a year I play this course now that’s it and its only for one reason. There’s a half dozen courses within 10 miles that are just as nice without the aggravation

I WILL NEVER GOLF HERE AGAIN. I played on league here never had any problems. Played here at the beginning of Sept. 2015, was using the practice chipping green and left my Lob wedge on the fringe. Called the pro shop a half an hour after I left it, after teeing off on #10 noticed i didnt have it. The ranger looked and found nothing. So someone picked it up and decided to keep it. What kind of people find clubs and keep them. I guess they dont imagine if they did it and how they would want to be treated. If this is the type of people they have play here, I will never be back, and the group of 14 players I brought with, wont either.

My Golf Group attended the Hampshire Lions Club golf outing. I have been to a lot of these events and I have never seen one more organized and was an amazing time. The food at the dinner afterwards was amazing . My group consisted of 4 guys who play in the Pinecrest Thursday night Golf League. He was an amazing time with some amazing friends. It didnt hurt that we were Seventeen under for the tournament (We used 9 of our 12 Mulligans so the score was Mulligan assisted.)

I like Randall Oaks because I know what Im going to get. The green speeds and conditions are consistent, tee time intervals are acceptable and the rounds generally take the same amount of time. Theres a water issue on #11, but I can deal with it and its not advisable to hit to the right side on that one anyway.

Went to a friends wedding here. Good did and awesome service. I have a service dog and the servers at dinner even brought her a dish of water and offered a dish for me to feed her. That level of above-and-beyond service really stands out. Bartenders very knowledgeable and handled the large group gracefully.

Have always enjoyed playing this course. Always in good shape and the greens are challenging. Very nice people that work here too. A deifinate golfing destination every year for my group.

The grounds were beautiful, the hall was perfect... The bar however Im pretty sure made my whiskey sour with lemon lime Gatorade... Pretty gross.

Nice municipal course. Always in good condition. Greens are smooth and quick. Rates are a little high for this type of course though
