This is a wonderful place to go to get a good feel for local Jersey Shore history and ecology. The great trails for hiking and jogging. Also wonderful opportunities for bird watching and other animals. The butterfly garden is beautiful it is a real treat. This is a great place for children. there are two playgrounds. between the Learning Center and the playground kids should be quite entertained.

First trip, did some of the red trail and most of the yellow trail. The trails are well maintained (most), but have a natural feel to them. If you like nature, you will find this park very nice. I usually like hiking in the mountains, but this was a great park close to home. It is also very clean as compared to most parks in the area. Will return and try other trails.

This park and its corresponding environmental center are an under-rated jewel in New Jersey. Ignore these premises and you suffer a perilous emptiness. The well versed staff offer a range of nature programming year-round that is unparalleled by any other facility in New Jersey....except their sister facilities at Wells Mills and Jakes Branch County Parks.

This place is beautiful. I brought my dog here and we walked the Sandy trails for an hour and a half. When we got back to the car we found HUNDREDS of ticks on him. We didnt walk into any tall grass, just on the Sandy trails. He had to of stepped in a nest of some sort. While its not the parks fault, it ruined my experience here.

Great park for walking, bicycling and a swings/slides etc. for kids. A beautiful butterfly garden outside and snakes, turtles and lizards inside plus fun facts and games for kids and adults inside too. Many different trails and wildlife to see on the trails. I love it there! Its always a great time!

Great place to walk, bike, and enjoy the outdoors without having to venture too far away. Although the Cooper Environmental Center is still closed (as of 3/19/2013), and facilities are limited, practically all trails are cleared and ready for more visitors. A must visit!

Nice park with trails near the water. Playground area recently renovated. Boardwalk trails through the marshy areas have been closed for a couple of years due to damage. The nature center has been closed for a year due to renovations but should reopen soon

Beautiful views of Barnegat Bay. Great trails including flat, easy main trail for walking, jogging, strollers and wheelchairs. Cooper Environmental Center reopens January 2017 with new exhibits, activities and educational programs.

Trails are well marked but first time visitors should check out maps in advance. As in most nature settings there are some biting insects, applying bug spray will make for a better visit. Lots of bird life and beautiful water views.

Great for walking and biking with the family. The playground is nice, and Im unsure if its still open but they used to have a small exhibit inside to look at for free.
