Interesting history. Beautiful Sandy Hook setting. Some trash problems with foreigners throwing bottles, cans, and all sorts of litter anywhere they please. Its a place that requires visitors to take home their own trash, non English speakers cant a Or wont get with the program. They visit on weekends from the ghetto, and trash our beautiful place. Volunteers clean up after them, but after Labor Day the beaches are left looking like a dump.

Park is dedicated to the Nike Missile program. The Nike Missiles on Sandy Hook were actually armed with Nuclear warheads. Touring the base is also something that can be very interesting. Park has nice areas for picnicking and terrific nature trails to walk and of course a lot of beaches. In summer the price is $15 per car but the rest of the year it is free.

Guardian park has great views of the Sandy Hook Bay. It is located in the Officers Row section of Sandy Hook. Brought sandwiches and had a picnic lunch at one of their outdoor tables.

A small park with scenic views of New York Harbor. It is a good place for family or group picnics. Picnic tables, shelters and grilling facilities.

Star Chaser

Walk back into history, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Old Forts and Canon platforms. Wonderful view to NYC Battery park and beaches.

Very serene, patriotic feel. Draws a diverse crowd.. picnic tables, volley ball net. Get there early for a table though!
