On September 2, 2017, I was discriminated and mistreated by the security team of XS Nightclub in Encore/Wynn who were providing security at the David Guetta event during the Exodus Festival Las Vegas - Summer End Edition. At 11:20 I arrived at the entrance of XS Nightclub at Encore with friends. At the ID check point, I was told they didnt accept the provided ID, which was a Puerto Ricos driver license, and that I needed to provide a second form of ID such as my passport. I respectfully answered that Puerto Ricans are US citizens, therefore I do not need to travel with passport and our drivers license is a perfect and valid form of ID. I asked to speak with a manager and my petition got declined by the same security team. Disappointed on the way I was treated, I went to the guest services front desk at Encore and asked to talk with the security manager of XS Nightclub. The guest services manager, Julia, was able to get the security manager. Two people came out, Cory and Enrique Rivera, who identify himself as Rick. When asked for his full information, he declined to give further information about his name. I got this information by contacting the security department at the hotel. I explained the situation to Rick and a second bouncer (Cory) and after examining my ID, Rick accused me of having a fake ID. He basically googled how Puerto Ricans ID should looked and based on that, he made a wrong accusation. After accusing me of possessing a fake ID, he stated he wasnt going to return it. I explained, that it was an official ID and that the government of Puerto Rico recently changed its design in order to comply with the Real ID Act of 2005 pertaining to security, authentication, and issuance procedures for the states drivers license. I also explained that I use that ID to travel and never had a problem with it. Nevertheless, I was treated like a liar by Mr. Rivera. Rick repeatedly told me it was a fake ID and he was going to keep it. After this humiliating scene, I proceeded to go back to my hotel and get other forms of IDs and called the police. At 1:20am we arrived back to Encore and waited for the police to arrive. Once with the police, I explained once again the situation and the hotel management called Rick and Cory one more time. Rick explained why he thought the ID was not real, the police took my ID made some calls and after they investigated, they determined that my ID was not fake. At 2:40 in the morning I got my ID back. However I never received an apology from the security team, especially Rick, after firmly accusing me of being a liar. As a Public Relations professional myself, we both know the importance of reputation and word of mouth. I am not coming back for an Exodus event, XS Nightclub at Encore/Wynn nor recommending it. There where other ways the message could be deliver. Mr. Rivera could have said: "Miss, we have reason to believe your ID is not valid, as it is missing some key security features. The Nevada law allows us to retain this ID and handed over to the police department within 24 hours." Can you see here how the message was similar but less offensive? Can you see the difference between telling I have reason to believe and accusing someone? Can you see the difference between explaining the process of what will happen with private property versus taking it away from someone? The lack of respect, unprofessional conduct, abuse of power and discrimination I experienced is a cause of great concern. The Police Department showed the outmost respect and professionalism, while your security team was disrespectful from the get go. I hope you know, I understand that security personnel see fake IDs all the time and it is their duty to prevent people without a proper form of identification to enter. However, Im complaining about the way I was treated and the accusations that were made against me.

I went to this club with 5 other friends on April 26th. Zedd was performing that night. The ticket for guys was $75 and it was $20 for girls. Zedd is a big name so the high price is normal. We were 2 guys and 4 girls. The normal sum for the group would be $230 but we had a $300 handshake with one of the bouncers to cut the line, which is pretty standard in vegas. (I still dont know why they insist on making the handshake transaction discretely, all clubs in vegas have the same exact procedure.) Anyways, we went in. I have never been in such a crowded club. It was impossible to even get close to the dance floor. You had to push people around to get from a point A to B. Being pushed by other people is somewhat ok. But being pushed around by those obese bouncers to open way to some dude who just tipped him $20, was really sad. When the club is so hot, if you are general admission, you are basically trash for bouncers. I was almost pissed at this situation, but the best treatment came later. Here is the story of idiocracy at its best. Zedd started playing his popular song "Clarity" and like 90% of people in the club, i stopped at some corner of the club, i took my phone out and started recording it. Then, I felt someone tapping to my shoulder. I turned around. It was a bouncer. He didnt stop, he walked away. I continued recording. Then, after 2 minutes he came back, he tapped to my shoulder one more time and told me to go with him. He was mumbling something. I didnt hear. I asked "what is going on"? He suddenly got pissed and told me to follow him. I guess I shouldnt have questioned the authority of an idiot bouncer. I followed him. He took me out of the club and told the guy at the door that "I was disturbing VIP tables,"(?!) And I was kicked out of the club one hour after entering, after paying $100 to get in. I didnt even have time to get drunk, it was that fast. I didnt talk to anyone at vip tables, didnt even look at them. I was just recording. Stupid person that I am, I failed to understand that one tap on the shoulder meant a yellow card and the second tap is a red card. I guess I was expected to understand this animalistic club code. This rude, low iqd bodyguard who is also a big lier is a super fat and tall african-american guy. (I was so frustrated that I forgot to get his name. ) In case, the club management is reading these reviews, I thought you should eliminate this kind of staff to preserve the prestige of your club. The door man that he complained about me was called Bob. I told Bob that this guy is %100 lying and he has issues. But Bob didnt let me in and told me to go to another club. I asked Bob the name of the idiot bouncer, but he didnt sell out his friend. Because even he knew that what happen to me was unfair and he covered for his friend. Anyways, I have to say that kicking out a person from a club with million different entrances is not the best idea. But I guess, one cannot expect from these retards to be logical. I entered the club from another entrance in 2 minutes and continued my night.
