You will not be nearly as impressed with this place if you see it in the cold light of day, and I’m not talking about when they flip the gtfo lights on at the end of the night when you’ve overstayed your welcome. I still enjoy clubbing, but I also enjoy coming home and not being out all night. I don’t stay out just to stay out, if it’s so-so I’m out, but if it’s cracking and I’m having a good time, HELLO sunrise. I think that the main draw here is the whole tie to Vegas and the uber mega club of the same ownership out there. This is not that nice, not near that nice, but good enough for those that don’t want to go to Vegas. Get table service because your far less likely to waste your time roaming for drinks. Buy your tickets ahead of time so you don’t get caught out in the rain, don’t rely on promoters because in the new world of things the music acts bring the people. See how much money is spent at clubs for DJ’s versus entertainment acts and you’ll see the trend. I like the staff and have had good and bad experiences with them. Be aware of the security, they are aware of you and so long as you have a mutual understanding of where they are and what they are doing you’ll be fine and they are courteous. If you’re a drunk, drugged our dancing fool you will never see them coming be aware of your surroundings. In other words don’t be the later for dancing in a walkway and get startled when you are escorted off the floor. Have a few drinks elsewhere because the prices here will make you wish you went to Vegas. I hate fighting for drinks with bars packed 3 deep all the way around. Come early and the wait isn’t so bad. I hate it when people think that just because they pay money they are going to be given special treatment. Things require a little more work. If you can’t handle the wait, the price, go to a festival, otherwise if you don’t get a booth and bottle service your experience will be pretty mediocre. It seems like everyone who came for an act thought that hey I got a ticket, I waited in line and it was crazy packed, that’s the name of the game everyone. If you want to remotely enjoy clubbing and not a festival then get a booth, otherwise your really buying into a completely different experience. If your less into the music go 3rd floor. I do like the lighting, I do like the dance floor, I do like the concept, but this place would never survive in Vegas, may not even survive San Diego, but it’s still a very hip place to check out on occasion.

Was very excited to watch Zedd at Omnia for a birthday present from my girlfriend. The show was great for a period, but was disrupted several times by an annoying drunk pestering literally everyone on the dance floor as if he were trying to start a fight. I understand that dealing with drunk people is part of being at a night club, but I can only tolerate so much. I reported to a bouncer nearby that the individual (who had made his way to the nearest table, very close to the stage) was trying to cause trouble with everyone on the dance floor. He promptly told me to get back into the crowd as if nothing had happened. Shortly after, the drunk walked right past the bouncer and into the crowd again where he took my flashing-wand-thingy that they handed out and hit my girlfriend and several other people multiple times with it. Minutes later, I watched the same bouncer, a humongous human-being, push someone from behind because their back was touching the rope separating the dance floor from the walkway to the tables. He made no attempt to ask the man to move; he didnt lightly nudge him to give him a chance to step forward; he actually shoved him to the point where the man lost his balance. Between having to deal with the harassment from the drunk that should have been tossed and seeing the bouncer act like a Neanderthal, I really just have a bad taste in my mouth about tonights experience at Omnia. A taste that makes you want to get on the computer at 230 am and write a review and then never go back.

Omnia...WHAT A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I understand that with a name and franchise like Omnia you are paying for the DJ and the experience of a Las Vegas styled club, but what an atrocious night I had. At first walking through the line the security guards are badly mannered. I get that you want to come across as tough but save it for someone who youll be kicking out later. The bathroom attendant was more welcoming than the jerks in the front. Second correct me if Im wrong but you go to a club to dance right? I dont know who made this floor plan up, but let me say that this club is all about profit. Instead of increasing the size of the dance floor they enclosed the damn thing with ropes and squeeze people in like cattle. All around all I saw were tables which were empty. Once the main DJ came on forget about trying to actual make it to the dance floor. There was a line to get into the dance floor because of the stupidity of the architect of this club. Please let this club die and the name with it. Save your money and go to a different club in San Diego. Bassmnt Club is 100 times better than this.

It was my first time in San Diego and I decided to check out this club since Dirty South was playing that night and I am a big fan. My friend was intoxicated and I came out to help him and make sure he was sent home safely. He and another friend of mine took a ride home per the securitys instructions and I stayed after they lied saying that I would be able to go in after he was sent home. For no reason (probably had personal issues with me I dont know about, or he just had a bad day and wanted someone else to have one too) did not want to let me in. I was super nice to them and tried to work something out as I did not want to ruin my night. I spent $50 to get in and did not even get to see the main DJ and did not get a refund or anything. I had to go home as the rest of my friends stayed in. I have never been so frustrated in a night out as I have then. Those are the rudest and most unfair bouncers I have always come across in my entire life. Ill never come back

We tried to come to your bar as part of our New Years bar crawl. Being from out of town, we were not 100% certain on the rules. Seeing as it was raining, we tried to wait under the tent until we could find someone to give us answers. We were told by a very rude man with a beard that we were trespassing (although we were standing outside) and that he would be calling the police on us. I continually tried to apologize and let him know that I just had some questions, but he continues to harass us for no reason at all. I had heard great things about Omnia and was excited to spend my new year there; however, this bouncer made it entirely intolerable. My apologies, I did not realize that those from out of state were unwelcome at your establishment. Ill be sure to pass this along to all of my fellow blog writers.
