First off, I am a former employee. I quit early because this business was run rather shadily, was not getting any customers, and I honestly felt guilty working for them for such a low pay. I hope this review helps you make your decision on whether or not to go to this theater/be employed by this company. I was hired as one of the first staff for this new theater. Everyone was very excited for it, all my co-workers and the downtown-goers alike. This excitement maybe lasted 3 weeks, when all the flaws came out of the woodwork. 1. The parking is horrible. You are expected to park in one of two pay-for-parking garages that arent owned by the theater but Mutual of Omaha and Prairie Life Fitness. And dont expect to even find parking in there if either businesses are busy. Forget it if youre an employee, because you have to pay or walk two blocks in the snow. 2. For the extent that I worked there, they STILL could not get the audio right or the picture was too washed out. Something was always going wrong. People constantly complained about it being too loud or too quiet. 3. The whole seating arrangement and pricing is warped. It was clearly not thought out, with VIP seating being worth nearly nothing despite being much more expensive. 4. No love for the customers. Working there, I learned all about customer support and care, but the same did not go for our managers. Alex Burkeland really didnt give a hoot for the customers and would snarl about them behind their back. Hes much too young for the position, and I dont know how he even got promoted. Most of the other managers are either too young or too embittered by people to seem compassionate to their customers. 5. No love for employees. You can really tell how a company treats their customers by the way they treat their employees. They kept someone that was sexually harassing another employee for up to 4 warnings before letting him go. They treated us like dirt after a month, even though they knew we were the first faces our customers would be seeing. A single mother that quit had to fight for her paycheck after she left. Employees have been fired for absolutely no valid reason, which is their right, but whats the point? 6. Long lines. Because of the economy, Marcus Theaters has decided itd be brilliant if they cut hours for all their minimum wage employees. Even on the busiest nights, they will never have enough staff. Prepare to stand in lines. 7. As Nolan stated, it can be hard to watch a movie there with all the restaurant ambiance. That was one of our highest complaints aside from parking and prices. The only pros I can think of is that the restaurant and theater staff are really down-to-earth, and they work understanding and never undermining your disappointments and confusion like the high-ups because they too are being treated the same way you are. Also, the chefs are great and accommodating, and the food is delicious. Ive had to void out hundreds of tickets, listen to a thousand valid complaints working there for two months. I really dont think Marcus Theaters cares about you or your interests in quality entertainment. Their lack of customers speaks a lot. Youre better off going to a regular theater. (Yes, even I had high hopes for this theater.)

Go somewhere else for dining and movies - each experience has gotten worse. My wife, our friend and I attended a 7:15 PM movie, Saturday night on Memorial Day weekend, so they were a little busy, but not packed at all. We go to Midtown Cinema to be able to dine with the movie (CineDine), and each visit to the theatre has been more and more disappointing related to CineDine. By far tonights was the worst and we will likely not be back again. Placed our order with our waiter about 7 PM for three meals, an appetizer, two waters, a bottle of beer, and a pop (nothing complex). Two of the three meals arrived about 7:20 - fairly reasonable, except it wasnt until half an hour later when our third meal and appetizer arrived along with silverware and napkins. Even then we still had none of our drinks. After asking another passing employee on their way back It wasnt until about 8 PM when all of the drinks except my pop have arrived. Yet another reminder is made to the employee that dropped off those drinks. Finally over an *hour* after ordering and three reminders, the last drink, my pop arrives. Which of course means most of our meals are also cold by the time our respective drinks have arrived. The reason we were told that it took an hour to deliver one pop is that they were "very busy" despite seeing multiple people in our same theatre getting drinks and even refills delivered. We only successfully got refills on our water/soda once the entire time, despite multiple polite requests. We were half-heartedly told with an hour left in the movie that our server would "try to get that [refill] to you." Other things that have been bad: - Condiments are never checked if theyre almost empty at each food "station". Every *single* time weve been there the ketchup bottles (and the ones around us) are always near empty if not already out. - Pulled pork sandwich was very bad this time despite previous good quality - meat was dry, tough and inedible. - Orders never completely correct (try to ask for a side of anything with your meal - just dare you) - Preview audio levels are always way louder than the actual movie. These are not supposed to be TV commercials. If you want a dinner and movie experience, theres a good reason that these two are usually separate. If you want a decent dining experience, go to a real restaurant where you will have only one server that can provide better attention and service rather than the multiple employee hand-offs (at least five different people this visit) that you get at CineDine. If you want a decent movie theatre experience in mid-town Omaha, Id much rather recommend Aksarben Cinema in Aksarben Village. The staff there seems to actually care. Until then, only go here if you are not using CineDine.

This was my husbands first time being here last night 4/14/17, we watched the the fate of the Furious at the 10:30pm showing. Was cheaper than AMC, thr seats where comfortable and you csn order food and drinks from your seats; has a little lap table and cup holders. What we are really upset is the horrible service and food. No one told us how we had to order so we had to flag down a server. My husband and i both ordered the atomic smash, drinks and Wisconsin cheese curds w/ ranch to share. First off the severs gave us someone elses food by accident, i get it. Things like that happen. When we finally got our food and they gave Marinara sauce sauce instead of ranch. I understand it was probably an honest mistake. So we waived down the server to let them know the mix up, as we are waiting and eat the rest of our food our atomic smash was absolutely burnt and all you could taste was dry hamburger and a burnt taste to everything. So we waited for the server to get back with the ranch and after waiting and waiting not even noticing how long its been, the sever comes back withour check had to ask again about the ranch and i asked if my food could be remade because my husband just went ahead and ate his since he was so hungry or if i could just get my money back just for the burger that had only one bite or take my bill down lower so i could grab something to eat on my way home. All the sever could say is sorry and you should of said something earlier. I was blown away, considering if she could of came back with the ranch in a timely matter i would of said something and we got distracted with the movie. Absolutely livid considering we dont get to have date night hardly ever and how rude snd horrible the service was. She walked off with the ticket and we asked for our copy and said kinda she would have to go look for it. I was just done and ready to go the movies ended i went to go find a manager to talk to about it and couldnt find anyone out side the screen room so definitely will be stopping by again today if we have time otherwise i will be calling. Im not saying its an absolutely horrible place but my first impressions where bad. My husband and i personally will never go back
