i know its an older theater (obvious from the decor) but its not exactly the cleanest. not much of a snack selection either and dont even try to go see newer films there and have a good experience. the sound system screeched for the first minute when the movie started and the image was blurred and shaky for the twenty minutes of the movie we actually bothered watching before walking out. found out even the recent movies (as in 2013) are on film so i suppose that would explain the shaky/speckled image quality. not to mention the screen was MUCH smaller than most cinema screens. what i found amusing was the fact that we werent the only ones to leave before the movie even ended. another group came out- when we were getting in our car- complaining about the same reasons to each other. but it is never busy and the parking is great. and if you just want to have some family time without spending an arm and a leg on snacks and such- because, yes, more up to date theaters are pretty ridiculous with their prices in that department- then i guess it would be an ideal place to go. if youre wanting to go see quality, hi-def films such as Desolation of Smaug or Pacific Rim then its best to just pay the extra to go see it at a theater with good picture and sound and buy some snacks at the dollar store if youre worried about spending too much.

When I first walked into the theater I was enthralled to be walking on red carpet. I was so excited to possibly find a new theater to start coming to. We ordered our movie tickets and went straight to the room where we were to watch our show. The moment I walked in the room I smelled a strong stench in the air. It was almost unbearable. Between all of the rows of seats I saw candy and popcorn everywhere on the floor. The floors were sticky. It was obvious that no one had cleaned up the theater. I finally picked a row and sat down, but the moment I sat down I noticed that there was a huge wad of gum stuck to the back of the seat in front of me. I moved up a row. I was miserable during the whole movie (although it was a great film). I will never go back to this theater.

If you dont want to fight the crowds, and want to park literally feet from the front door, and dont want to walk a quarter mile to the concession stand and pay chain prices... this is your place. Small theater feel, clean, and first run movies. We saw Tangled the day after it was released and there were exactly EIGHT people in the audience with us, not struggling to find a seat for our family of five at some of the other nearby places. Awesome.

I dont normally watch movies at theaters, but I think I found my new go-to place. Saw the new Die Hard last summer (I think), and I really like the cozy, vintage feel the place has. Concessions were actually affordable, too. I only wish movies would stay there longer (I was going to see the new Robocop last week, but it was already gone), but Im guessing the limited number of screens makes for a pretty quick rotation of titles.

It is what movies are all about! What more could you ask for. Wonderful staff, great popcorn, comfortable seating, short lines, close in parking. It is a one-of-a-kind "hometown" theater that has chosen to keep serving our community and compete with the big chains and probably make a smaller profit than those charging way more for the same product.

One of the greatest movies theaters Ive ever been to. The customer service was fantastic, the prices were great, and the theaters are always sparkling clean! Definitely one of the best movie theaters out there! Also, their employees are some of the nicest people Ive ever encountered in the entertainment business. I will be coming back very soon!

I worked here for ten years and let me tell you this place came a long way. From management all the way the down to the workers they treat anyone like family. With support of McClain, he has transformed this local theatre to become a favorite among the local. Give it a try and your movie watching experience will forever change.

I love the old styling. You rarely have to stand in line and the prices for concessions and new releases are below that of big theaters. The hidden secret is that you basically have to walk 20 feet from your car to the door, or from the theater to concessions. Love this place.

Small theater. Not the greatest seating but no large crowds. I had to leave early from a show and my husband was given 2 passes for us to return at a later date, they didnt have to do that. It was really nice of them to do that!

Classic movie theater with first run movies. Large, roomy theaters. Best ticket and concession prices in town. Great for when you dont want to deal with 39th Street traffic and crowds at the AMC. Support local business!

Older feel cinema with prices to match. Popcorn is good. They serve Pollys pop for the same price as coke! Matinee pricing, booster seats for kids and a great family atmosphere. Worth the trek to Independence!

I love this little theater. The workers and owners do a great job of keeping it a small atmosphere, and will even deliver your food right to your seats! I will continue to go and recommend this place to anyone.

This theatre is great I reconmend it for anyone who doesnt want to pay $10 dollars for a movie ticket. There are only 4 choices but its worth it. The seating is nice and its just all around great. :)

Cheap prices, nice people, and all the newest movies. Only 4 theatres so there arent many movies to choose from at any one time, but they change out the movie often to keep their selection fresh.

Its a small theater, doesnt have all the high end screens for digital or 3d. But I was happy with the places. It simple and has nice staff. I like the building and was happy with my viewing.

It was pretty nice. The tickets and food are cheap, while the snack variety is low, but they have the essentials. The theaters are clean, and the movies are always pretty high quality.

Small theatre. I love running up the stairs for the bathroom. I love the walk through to the ticket counter. Would be fun to see a classic film here, but they show current movies.

Would really like to see some movies this summer with my grandsons. Have been trying to find out how much ticket prices are but they are NOT listed! Very frustrating!

Small movie house that shows first run movies. If you like to avoid crowds and pay less than the giant theaters than this is your place. Clean and comfortable.

I love coming here. The people are always friendly. I can bring my kids and not have to worry about them causing a disturbance because they enjoy this theater.
