Ive played most of the top courses in Minnesota and Western Wisconsin. Troy Burne is one of the best. This 18 hole beautiful Tom Lehman course is always in great condition and a joy to play. Things I like include: -Outstanding professional staff. I am always treated as well if not better than I have been at area private country clubs. This is a truly polite, respectful and professional staff who seem to honestly appreciate you playing Troy Burne. -The beauty of the course is not diminished by crowded up scale housing development like some area courses. It is a very nature beautiful course with an open feel. -The starters and scheduling people do not pack you into tight start times. Ive never waited or felt pushed on this course. Thats a huge deal to me and part of the private course feel you get at Troy Burne. Troy Burne is not an easy course and not an inexpensive course. If you want inexpensive, there are several pretty good and really cheap courses in Western Wisconsin you can play. By the way, if you want to buy new clubs this is the place to go. Brent Snyder golf pro will spend whatever time is necessary to fit you properly and will also give you a better than big box store price on your clubs. Go to Troy Burne for a top quality, really pleasant round of golf. If you love golf, youre going to really like this course. I highly recommend it.

This is the best golf course within 100 miles of the Twin Cities. Its a bit pricey, but if you can afford it, youll be treated to the best golf experience youve ever had. The course is always in absolutely immaculate condition. Very fast and true greens, close-cut fairways and tees, and an incredible layout that I cant say enough about. Most holes have some sort of risk-reward play without making any of them seem gimmicky which is something Ive never seen pulled off. Staff is incredible and the beverage cart is always timely. I cant reiterate enough how awesome the layout is. You start off with a great par 5 with a tough green and go from there. The middle few holes on the front are pretty tough. The back nine was voted best in the twin cities and for good reason. After a tough par 4 10th which has water going all the way up the left side, you go into the gorgeous par 3 11th. 12 is an eagle-able par 5 with an enormous undulating green. 15 is an insane par 3 that only plays about 100 yds, but its got a 10-foot deep bunker in front of the green. My buddy had his wedding here as well, which was awesome. The 11th teebox was a gorgeous setting. If they didnt charge $90 per round, I would come here every weekend. Alas, my golf buddies and I cant afford that and we generally go to White Eagle instead.

I guess I expected excellence when you pay $104 for a local course. There were tons of pockmarks and pitch marks on the greens. The fairways were torn up where your drive lands and the tee boxes looked like theyve seen better days. Today was my first time out here. After hearing and reading so many positive reviews, I was extremely excited. I left feeling very unsatisfied. Its a fun track with some some beautiful holes. Just felt it should have been in better shape for that price. Customer service was excellent, but I would prefer to play Edinburgh from now on, when looking for a premium public course.

Nice course. But for the money, it was missing a number of things. Half the holes didnt have ball washers, greens were not in the greatest shape, no GPS, and with all the divots in the fairways it was difficult to locate distance markers since they do not have yardage stakes. I have to say the staff was very polite and friendly. Playing 18 w/cart is in the price range of Rush Creek, Legends Club, etc. I have played both of those two numerous times and they have never been in as rough of shape as Troy Burne was. Would I recommend playing it, absolutely. Will I play it again, probably not.

Fourth of July Fabulous. In part because I had five birdies on the round, unfortunately with two double bogies and a quad. Managed an 84, which is a low round for me. But to the point. Ive played Troy Burn over the past fifteen years and found the course to be in pristine condition. Greens were rolled and cut, which helped with the birds. Want to have some fun, play it.

Cant even explain everything that happened today at this course with drive chip and putt. Your future=kids! BUT=Gretchen was awesome! Jamie for his "golf outing" not so much! And this photo belongs to the jerk in charge of HIS golf outing! Wish I could of recorded his FANTASTIC attitude towards kids.

One of my favorite courses I have played. Always in great shape. Course is well bunkered and looks intimidating, but the fairways are wide and fair, greens roll extremely well, and service is outstanding.

Fantastic course. Very challenging, but fair. Greens roll true and they are always fast. Fluffy bunkers and many picturesque holes. Keep your camera phone nearby as youll want to take a ton of photos.

One of the best courses in the MSP area. Always in great shape and has some of the most scenic views of any course youll ever play. Worth every penny! The staff is great too.

Nice course. Interesting layout. Modern stadium style course. Not too tree lined, more rolling mounds and hills. Larger undulated greens.
