First of all, I recommend taking these reviews with a grain of salt because they kind of bribe you into giving a positive review. After you come out of the room, they ask you to write a 5 star review on Google for a 20% discount. You have to write it there and then, and you have to show it to them to get the discount. That strikes me as a bit unethical. I have done three rooms and have had a good time. The staff were friendly and seemed to genuinely enjoy having us there. I would overall recommend this to people who like escape rooms. Ive encountered some negative aspects, however. I mention them not to dissuade potential visitors but to make the managers aware. Foremost, due to use and lack of maintenance, things in the room didnt always work. For the price they charge, these maintenance problems really shouldnt exist. *Several locks were very sticky. Even if you have the right combination or key, it wont open unless you jiggle it and pull really hard, so you think you have the wrong combination and waste your time trying to figure out a new one. *There were places where youre supposed to touch one thing to another, and when you do, it triggers an electronic mechanism (a box opens, etc). Even if you precisely match up the outlines of the things you touch together, it doesnt work unless you fiddle with it, so you waste time thinking that you dont have the correct solution. *There was a sign in a room that was supposed to be attached to a precise important location, but the sign had fallen to the ground. We noticed that there was some worn adhesive on the back and asked the staff about it. If we hadnt noticed the worn adhesive, or if the adhesive was even more worn, we might not have found out where the sign was supposed to go. Again, time wasted. *Some puzzle items were missing. During one room, we asked for a hint and were told to look at what was written on the item inside a container. We responded that there was no item. The staff member came into the room and checked the container to confirm it wasnt there. She then had to go back to the staff area and tell us the clue that was written on the item. That wasted at least 5-7 minutes. Some other points: They recently replaced the paper pads and pens with a weird black thing that is difficult and slippery to write on, and you cant erase a part without erasing the whole thing. You also cant switch to another sheet of paper like you could before to keep two sets of written notes at once. The paper/pen worked way better. Some items were high up and/or in awkward places. One important object was on top of something mounted to a wall. Im a petite but not super short person, and I couldnt see it. The staff member had to tell me via the monitor in the room that there was something up there, and I still had trouble reaching it. As many kids play these rooms, important things should be kept within seeing range of people under 52" or so. Finally, they recently changed the hint system. Previously you asked a staff member for a hint via the room camera, and the staff member would type the hint on the monitor. Now they have QR codes throughout the room that you scan with a tablet they provide. This is good in that you can get more precise hints, but its bad because of situations like the one I mentioned above with the item missing from the container. We only found out by asking the staff for a hint. With the QR system, we might not have learned that the item was missing. One more thing, I recommend that females use the bathroom before going there. There is only one female bathroom, and the toilet there is very slow to fill up. You have to wait about 2 1/2 minutes between flushes.

I have never done an escape room before and was pretty wary of the process but the staff at Mastermind explained everything in a straightforward and fun way that I wasnt worried when we started. Ive done Bank Heist, Zombie Survival, and the sorcerers secret room and the uniqueness of each of the rooms impressed me. Its a wonderful way to get to know people you just met and find out whos good under pressure! I will definitely be completing all the rooms and probably doing some repeats. The staff also makes the experience one to remember. They seem like they enjoy the rooms themselves. The signs at the end are epic!

Amazing experience! Really well put together escape rooms. The transitions were a bit awkward. We finished the game and didnt really know what to do. Ive had other experiences where the facilitator would return and we would have a debrief session. Also during the game we were allotted 3 hints... Our guide mustve been away from the helm. When we asked for them, we didnt get them. And then later we got clues for puzzles we had already solved...

Wonderful experience. Really challenging. Required all 10 people in our group using all of thier observation skills to complete the 25 or so steps to finish the assignment. We did the Storm one. We solved it with 3 minutes to go. My 13 year old son and I joined 8 people whom we had never met and enjoyed their company. Insider hint: everything in the room, especially things that seem unusual, are clues. Ill definitely be back.

The zombie room was a bit too hard for two people to solve. But Im not deducting a star for that. I just think that the instructions were slightly unclear to begin the game and the exit door was already open when we reached the third room, I saw the lady working there close it in while we were planning the escape. Lol. It took a bit of the thrill away.

I really expected this to suck, puzzle games arent really my thing. Ive never been so wrong, it was awesome. We did the georgia tornado room and we all died, but that didnt make it any less fun. Get there 15 minutes early, its important. Theres some stuff they have to brief you on. The staff is cool too. They have jokes and are friendly.

Definitely use a Groupon to reduce your cost. We had our three boys, our two nieces and our nephew, visiting from NY (all under 14) do it together and they had a blast. So much so, they did it twice. The first time they did the Zombie Run and the second time they did the Storm. They really had a great time! Thank you!

I have been to just about every escape room in Atlanta and I have to say hands down this was the best one. The setting for the room I was in was about as realistic as can be and my friends and I had a great time. I cant wait for them to open more rooms to try. Everybody needs to try this place out!

We love this place! We have done three different rooms here and each one was well done and challenging. This is a great group activity and a lot more fun than catching a movie with your friends. This will give you a lot more to talk about afterward. Win or lose, its a great time!

Me and my daughter went here to try it out. We did the Bank Heist and got paired up with some other people and had a blast! It was way harder than what we expected but it was so much fun. They did a really good job with everything and we will go back for sure.
