This a great taproom. Its one of the nicest taproom spaces in town. They also have a great patio that keeps getting better. The beer is great and they have a discount for teachers on Tuesdays as well. This is a 21 plus establishment and they are serious about it as they should be. This is a drinking establishment, not a restaurant and people come here to drink. I also question the morals of any parent who brings their kid to a drinking establishment, drinks in front of them, and then drives the kid home (Ive seen this multiple times at other tap rooms and its just not ok). Even if not driving I dont understand bringing a child into a bar or taproom where there are adults having adult conversations no matter what time of the day it is. There are literally 100s of options for families with kids in town, some of which have drinking allowed (like a restaurant). Dont be the parent who brings their kid to the bar, taproom, or any other establishment that is not appropriate for them. They have large signs posted on the doors stating 21 plus only and its also the first thing you see on their facebook page. Its very disappointing that so many people have given this place negative reviews just because they were "inconvenienced" by not being allowed to bring their child into a place that the kid shouldnt be in the first place. I find it to be an inconvenience when I go to a taproom and someones toddler is running around, a baby is crying, or even worse a parent is giving me the evil eye for using adult language in an adult establishment. I feel the same way when I see a kid at a Casino accompanied by a parent or anyplace else that kids shouldnt be in. If you think you should be able to bring your kids into a taproom, bar, or anyplace else that technically should have an age restriction, dont be surprised if you get turned away and dont use it as an excuse to give a place a negative review. Not being able to go "everywhere" with your child is part of being a parent and its part what comes with that responsibility. If you want to enjoy an "adult" activity get a sitter for a few hours. Your child will thank you for not placing them in that type of situation later in life.

The beer is alright. Not bad for a start up. Probably not aiming to be the next Surly, Indeed or Dangerous Man level of brewery. My biggest issue are with prices. Why are all beers the same price regardless of style? $6 for a Koelsch is a bit spendy. $5 for the "easy" styles and $6 for more "specialty" seems much more reasonable and in line with other brewers. Hell allow for the purchase of 10oz pours like DM for $4. Second was lack of clarity on the menu. I ordered a Raspberry something or other. It was on the chalk board with no "specialty" description. So I order it and the lady bartender serves it to me in a half full tulip glass... I ask if she can you know, make it a full pour. She says since it costs more to make it doesnt get a full glass. OK? How about a disclaimer about that on the chalk board menu? Then 10 minutes later I watch another bartender who I assume is an owner (older guy who had Wicked Wort tattoo on his arm) pour a full 16oz pint glass full of the same style for another patron. Needless to say I wasnt too pleased to see that. I paid the same price for 6oz less of the same beer.. Overall not a bad neighborhood joint. But needs to come inline with prices and clarify "specialty brews" on the menu. Service needs to step up and get on the same page. Nothing gets my goad more than paying more than others for the same product, or less of it.

horrible attitudes from the employees! there was no tp in the ladies rooms and when i told them, they treated me like dirt! they asked for my order and then responded, well, theres 12 people in front of you, called the manager who he told i complained about the tp, to which the manager said a was a troublemaker and kicked me out! most breweries have a 4-5 rating on google. this one is 3.8!! they live up to the unfriendliness. what a lame staff!! who does that? while i was there, i saw the same bartender mouthing off to a gay couple as if they werent welcome! i saw kids/children in there at several tables so maybe their kid police is on vacation today. i saw them serving a belgian beer to a kid who looked 10 yrs old... they are a me-first, customers unwelcome! they have no respect for laws or customers and portray bigotism to gays! breweries are normally fun places with friendly staff. not this place! they are angry and bossy and abusive to their customers. BEWARE!

Fantastic beer, huge and spacious tap room, easy access off Highway 100, and more than adequate parking. Wicked Wort is probably one of the more excellent brewery/taprooms in the Twin Cities and deserving of more provenance. They have a wide array of on-premise brewed beers available on tap, bomber bottles and growlers available for take-home, and a number of snack and ready-made food available, plus some really nice nearby restaurants you could do take-out and bring over to Wicked Wort. Probably my only complaint — and this is more directed towards the City of Robbinsdale — is that its a 21+ ONLY place, likely a restriction imposed by the city in which they reside. I like to take my kids out now and then and play board games — buy them a soda and a beer for me, and have fun playing games. But with the 21+ only restriction, thats just not an option here.

The beer was pretty standard, but good, and the food options (from local restaurants like Pig Ate My Pizza, and Nonna Rosas) are surprisingly good, but the bar space itself was absolutely pandemonium. The room feels pretty unfinished, and with ~100 people gathered in a space with hard floors, walls, and no ceiling baffling/sound dampening, the room was never not uncomfortably loud. At points, we were literally having to yell at each other across a table. It was very unpleasant. The bar would easily fetch four stars if it added carpeting and perhaps divided the space a bit to keep it from becoming a single large echo chamber. I will revisit in a few months to see if things have improved. Robbinsdale is lucky to have a local brewery and I hope that they are successful

The beer was pretty good, but they wont fill a growler from another brewery. What is up with some breweries (not all) in Minneapolis not refilling growlers that came from a different brewery? Arent all micro breweries on the same team in a fight to steal business from the big boys? Go to any west coast brewery and they all support each other. Here they seem to want to cannibalize each others business. Why does it matter where the growler came from? Im interested in buying YOUR beer. If you dont want to sell it then you are losing business! Maybe I dont want to exchange my growler for one of yours. Again, why does it matter? Are you in business to make money on glass, or your beer? The owner(s) need to decide what business they are really in here.
