The neighborhood has been awaiting the opening of this brewery for some time now and it did not disappoint. Its much larger than i had anticipated and in a good way. The design / atmosphere is really terrific and I highly suggest you go at a time before the sun sets as the late afternoon light is outstanding and, mixed with a quaint strung-bulb lighting strategy, gives the space a nice beer garden quality while still being indoors. There will also be a nice outdoor space in the near future. Without gushing, Id have to say that this might be my favorite IPA in town...I know peoples taste in IPAS run the gamut so Ill just say it has a clean, clear, bright taste that is not overly hoppy and finishes without a strong aftertaste. It weighs in at 6.5%. They also have a hefeweissen and a kolsch. I am not a kolsch fan but people that are said it tasted nice. I did not try the hefe but may today. Im really glad to see this place open, I think you will enjoy it. Also, while there, order a pizza from Bryn Mawr Pizza and Deli and have it delivered to Utepils. What could be better? Enjoy!

Very nice new brewery that has taken on a niche style that no one is really doing in the cities. Everyone has a European style, but no one has full coverage of all the classic European styles. The quality is really good. Every style is classically done giving big outstanding flavor. Even if these styles arent you go-tos, you will enjoy a visit here. Usually a food truck on premises to boot so you can get some grub to go along with your brew. In fact the best option for you will likely be the Flightski it is a great selection and one of the funnest flight racks in the cities!!

One of my favorite breweries to visit. Dont let the neighborhood make you hesitate. It looks like you are driving to an abandoned factory with graffiti and the parking is strange but plentiful. The employees are genuine and friendly which you dont always see at the "hip" places. I held an event here and the Director of Operations was hands down one of the nicest people on the planet. He even brought a table cloth from his own HOME for our table with food. Best service, great European beer and the venue is GORGEOUS with the copper and wood and shiny brewery equipment.

Absolutely thrilled to have these guys in the neighborhood!! Great beer with a laid-back atmosphere. There is a large taproom, billiards, and generally a food truck to keep you drinking all night. Met one of the co-owners who was super friendly and very passionate about what they are doing here. Cant wait to see whats in store for the coming years!

An impressive space where they serve uncomplicated, unpretentious beers. Brewed in traditional german style which results in very clean, very drinkable experience. Your Coors and MGD swilling friends will be right at home here as well as they will likely find a huge upgrade with the Pilsner. Nothing too hoppy here. Nothing too complicated.

Fantastic!!! Brad is amazing and taught me a lot about the brewery! They have such a state of the brewing process with efficiency that is next to none in the U.S.! Great friendly people, wonderful beer. I couldnt be more impressed. They serve flights in mini skis!! They currently have 5 beers.

This is a great addition to the craft brewery scene in Minneapolis. They have a VERY large taproom that was spacious and had plenty of seating. They also have a pool table and when we were there, there was a food truck! The tap selection was limited, but will hopefully increase!

Wonderful addition to the Minneapolis brewery scene. Great space and superior beer. There are only have three beers right now, but theyre definitely above average. Only downside might be that the indoor capacity is only 197 so they hold a line at the door.

GREAT European-inspired beers, super impressive space, and pretty decent service. Its a great addition to Minnesotas craft beer scene to have these world-class German style lagers and ales produced here in Minnesota. Well worth a trip on over to Utepils!

Lovely. Large, open seating area that somehow manages to be quiet enough for conversations, even when its full. Staff was friendly and attentive. Everything was spotlessly clean and well cared for. Oh, they also have great brews!

The space is huge. They dont have a big beer selection, but the beers they do have are easy drinking. They have a pool table and a decent amount of tables. Parking lot does fill up, but theres street.

Wonderful space they have here. Large with room to grow. Parking can be tough when busy. The Belgian IPA and Pilsner beer are excellent. Bartenders are attentive and can answer your questions.

Nice space with quality beer. Although, the beer styles arent my typical favorites, its nice to see then in a craft beer world of mostly other styles.

Very good examples of German beer styles. Original artwork adds a nice touch. Room is quite live acoustically so it can get loud.

Great beer, staff, and facility. Certainly 5 star worthy, but they do not allow dogs inside like many breweries now do.
