Employees are incredibly rude. My friend purchased a drink from a vending machine which got stuck. We asked the employee to open the machine to get his drink out, which he did, but then another customer reached over and took my friends drink right in front of us. The employee simply shrugged and walked away. It was incredibly rude, and as an employee he should have taken care of the situation instead of shrugging and leaving. Considering they were the same age, Im under the impression these two young men were friends. Thus Im very unimpressed with the teens they hire at this business. Other than my specific situation with the one young male employee, many other employees seem bored, uninterested, and unhelpful.

I have never been to a movie theater that ran out of popcorn, not out just not popped. My wife and I went to a 2 pm movie at Gaylord Cinema on May 15th. I went back to the counter to refill our popcorn bucket, I stood in line and waited my turn to be told that I cant have a refill until everyone else has their 1st bucket. So my movie had alaaready started and they wanted me to wait til everyone has theirs. I know this makes no sense but that is what I was told. I put my $1.50 on the counter and 15 mins later they delivered it to us in the movie. They said that was the rules, why do you need a rule to cover the possibility of not having popcorn popped. Really sad management.

The past two times Ive been there children, actual must be under 12 children have been running it. The atmosphere just feels so outdated and you get the sense that its barely holding together. That being said, the movies do play and play decently, assuming the movie you want to see actually is showing. Oh, also remember to see said movie within the first week or so because unless its a movie thats Star Wars level successful, they dont seem to stay long. I only go here literally because unless I want to take a road trip to a different city, we have no other options.

Waste of $10 for a 3d movie. Picture was out of focus, audio was terrible to inaudible at times. No refund after 30 minutes but it was 1 hour into the movie. Advised the staff to find out they knew there were problems and complaints but nothing could be done. How about warn the patrons who are coming in? Very dissatisfied and done going to this establishment.

re: 3D- Something wrong. Our party had the same experience. We all walked out with eyestrain. picture was awful. each eye saw a different color. no more 3 D movies for us at this theater 1 year later We tried 3d again. We watched The Hobbit with Peter Jacksons experimental 3d filming techniques and found picture quality to be much better.

Classic movie goer experience, like stepping back in a time machine. There is a sort of romance to it, not in a love story sense... but in a sense that someone has worked to keep it going and keep the hostory in it still....the love that must go into that place. Almost makes going to any other theater....too commercialized.

Waited in line for a 11:30 show doors didnt open till 11:35. Movie was already playing. Employees were saying the keys werent here to open doors, how did they get in the building? Who turned on the projectors? This place ducks and lies. Go to T.C its a much nicer cinema.

If you go to the movies in town, it has to be here. Its Ok. Faded cheap slides advertise local businesses. If you dont have the place to yourself youll likely be sharing it with a row of High School students who never stop yakking to each other and on their cell phones.

i had a friend lose a wallet with 500 dollars in the gaylord theatre. .they reported it .Three weeks later my friend got a call saying the janitor found it and every bit of the money was still there. Im glad their is still honest people out their!!

My father is friends with the owner, it has always been a privilege to support there theaters. For years I have driven 20+ miles to call this "my movie theater." They are good people, who should have the support of there community!!

Not sure who manages that cinema but they need some better leadership. I have problems everytime I go there with something. Thats probably why I only go there twice a year. Traverse city cinemas always seems to be consistent.

Worth the drive to catch a movie since they closed and tore down our theater to build a Meijers. Conveniently located not far from the highway, reasonably priced tickets, and snack bar. We definitely will be returning.

My experience was nice. The lobby could be a bit nicer, updated but the staff are friendly and the viewing rooms are all nice as well as the seating in them. Would definitely come back if in the area again.

Watched Rogue One, not bad facility, wish we didnt have to watch all the commercials before the film but that is my only real gripe so otherwise i went, watched a movie, was satisfied, you will be too.

I absolutely love going to this theatre! Im never disappointed when I go here. The service is always great, and the theatres are always wonderful, never messy from other showings before.

Kinda dingy appearance. The speaker was blown also so it was not cool paying for a movie and having the sound all distorted. We did complain to the management, but nothing was done.

Wish it was an IMAX!! But for Cinema its very roomy, comfortable they did prove their seating kudos for that!! Wish they would come into the 21st century and take debit cards.

Speakers stink, screens are old, and the heat doesnt work half the time. We drive 40 miles one way to watch a movie in Petoskey rather than this dive!

Good selection, but some of the theater rooms are small. Overall it is somewhat clean, normally quite, and probably the best theater around that area.

This place is ran by teenagers who seem to have no idea what they are doing. Walked in to see them all playing air hockey. Very unprofessional.

Nice place to go see a movie. Popcorn can be a little buttery, but its still good popcorn. This place deserves more attention.
