The Gibson is a single screen theater. They mostly feature the current family friendly recently released movie. Ticket prices are low, being $6 an adult and $4 for kids for evening shows. Concession prices are just as reasonable especially compared to chain theaters. The projector was upgraded to digital back in 2014. The rest of the theater feels dated, but that is part of the charm. It is clean and exceptionally well maintained for its age. You can really see the love of the owner and staff in the upkeep. Given the ties to community events like the yearly free Northern Express performance, I havent been to any other theater in 2 years.

I love this place. Small town charm, personal staff and very easy to find. Its priced very competitively and they usually play the #1 movie at the box office. They offer a very large selection of goodies, the popcorn is fresh and the theater is very clean and well maintained for how old the building is. The balcony is closed when I visited but Im assuming it was because they were remodeling. The restrooms could be updated but they are clean and I think it goes with the overall charm and character of the building and history. Have been here a few times and Im always looking forward to coming back!

The people at the Gibson were somewhat friendly. However, the theatre needs to be remodeled. The womens restroom is down a steps. This is not wheelchair accessible. I would not trust sending anyone down there alone. The restrooms had an odor and a toilet had overflowed causing a big water mess. I would not plan to go back due to the restrooms alone because I would not take my kids in there.

Its nice to have a theater you can go to, the location isnt bad, but the bar next to it can get a little iffy. They show great movies, but it almost seems like they avoid some of the more popular horror, and violent action films. The theater is kept clean, but if you look you will see some areas that need improvement. They also do live shows here and there.

Ive grown up around this little theatre and though its getting older and the seats sometimes creak. Its adorable and it holds so many memories. I love going there and running into at least 5 of my friends every single time. Also the free refill on large popcorns is awesome.

`this is one of the few art deco theatres remaining in the U.S. the mgt. Is friendly and the popcorn is the best in the midwest. Enjoy a piece of the best of the past with the latest movies. Jps

Prices are good...popcorn is awesome...they use real butter. Nice old feeling with a current sound system.
