Yesterday, I went on a private tour at TCC, and my mind was blown. Dan was our tour guide and we did this for my birthday. The tour lasted about 2.5 hours and it was one of the most incredible experiences of my life!! We got to help feed animals, touch them, learn a lot of interesting facts about these different animals, and my dream came true of meeting a sloth. I got to meet TWO. Dan was an absolute all star and very accommodating. My friend and I had never been and I now want to go back for another tour. I cant recommend this place enough. The animals seem so happy and the staff is absolutely incredible. Even if you dont want a private tour, I believe Dan said it was only $8 to spend the day there and you get to meet different animals (we fed an emu celery out of our hands before our tour even started and that was open to the public. We also touched the ant eater as he walked down the aisle and that was also for the public). You get experiences here you can only dream of. Get here. You will not regret it!

Hands down one of my favorite places in Michigan, and certainly in South East Michigan. If you are a lover of animals, you must check this place out. Creature Conservancy is home to many exotic animals, some rescued, some from zoos. The staff takes time educating the public on the animals; all of their educational programs and series have been fantastic. We had a private party for my birthday where I got to select which animals my guests would get to interact with. I still get people who gush about that birthday party! Where else can you get up close to a cougar while she eats, or a reindeer during the holidays? Their seasonal/holiday programs are a lot of fun!

My husband booked a private tour for us for our anniversary. If you are on the fence about the price (like he was), DO IT!!! We had an absolute blast helping to feed the animals, seeing them up close, petting them, and learning all about them! Steve has a wealth of knowledge that really augments the experience. He spent so much time with us and made our day great. There are still animals we didnt have time to see, so I fully intend to visit more in the future, and hopefully even take friends on another private tour sometime. It is money well spent that you know will help the animals and Creature Conservancys awesome mission. Keep up the great work!!

Amazing experience, better than the zoo. You can get very close to the animals and can tell the people that work there are very dedicated to educatimg the public while caring for the animals well-being. We paid for a private tour and it was more than worth every penny. Got to feed many of the animals and learned a ton about them. Our daughters will never forget feeding the sloths. Our tour guide Kim was great. Well definitely be going back.

I thought these animals were rescued from irresponsible pet owners, so I was in love with everything about this place. But then I found out the guy is purchasing them. He was also rude when we came to volunteer. I would think a guy would take a moment to thank anyone who is feeding the animals as a volunteer...since it saves him a lot of money. My bubble was burst on many fronts.

Staff ignored our presence, not even smiling while passing us until one oclock when they opened the buildings. Note: you are welcome to come in and wander before that. Animals seemed mangy and somewhat desperate. The fox dishes were upside down. An owl was stored in a corner room with computer equipment. The kangaroo pen had poop everywhere. I felt sad here!

This place is a gem! I love how close you can get to the animals. I went with adults only and being at the Creature Conservancy brought us back to that child like wonder. The shows and demonstrations were informative and entertaining. The staff is so inviting, friendly and enthusiastic about the animals. The hr and half drive was so worth it!!

We saw your conservancy on Under the Radar and made it a "to do" for our summer outings. So glad that we made the trip from Rochester Hills. Your facility is SO nicely done. The staff was friendly, welcoming and informative. We enjoyed our time and the animals. It is great what you are doing for the animals and we will visit again soon!

What a wonderful place! So many interesting animals, wonderful staff and great fun for kids. The place is suitable year round, with so many different animals (some change, as they are rescued animals). The staff are super nice, let you pet whatevers possible, and explain thoroughly on each animal (if you want).

Extremely friendly staff and we could get up close to many of the animals. Check the website for information as every weekend they have an educational presentation in the afternoon that toy shouldnt miss. It only will take a couple of hours to see everything and is a great place for the entire family.

Great place to stop by if youre looking for a more personalized zoo trip. All staff members were friendly and knowledgeable and they are constantly updating their enclosures so it feels like a new experience every time. Recommended for all ages and a perfect way to spend a couple hours on the weekend.

My husband and I attended this special Valentines event. Food, wine and beer were served before the staff gave a presentation about animals and their courtships and mating. We enjoyed it and would recommend any of their special programs.

Awesome place! An excellent alternative than going to a zoo. Much more personal interaction with staff and animals. Extremely well priced (even the mini gift shop). Enjoyable and walkable for all ages.

This is a great place to take younger children, since the place is relatively small, compared to a zoo. They have events every 1/2 hr (feeding, training, etc), and they are on monthly rotation.

Excellent place to visit for close encounters with the animals. Many educational opportunities with presentations/feedings almost hourly. This place really seems to care about the animals.

Small enclosures for animals made me sad. I like to think they do a lot for rehabbing the animals as I do know several people who have worked for and volunteer for them.

Great place to visit with your kids for an afternoon. You can get closer with the animals than at a zoo and learn a lot. We will definitely be returning in the future.
