There are various aspects that deserve attention in a review of Wild Adventures. First, its a decent amusement park if you have smaller children. About half of the park is dedicated to childrens rides. On the other hand, with that said, most these childrens rides are essentially the same exact rides one would find at a traveling fair--bumper cars, twirling bugs, etc. In fact, while riding the bumper cars with my daughter, I noticed that our car still had a used sticker from the Italian company they bought them from. The other parts of the park consist of the more adventurous rides and the water park, Splash Island. The better rides are two tubular roller coasters (twisters) and one wooden coaster. They are not the biggest or the fastest but they are good enough for a minute or so of accelerated heart rate. They do have a problem with keeping the coasters open, though. Several times during my last two visits, coasters have been down during the day for maintenance or just to check them. The water park is on the small side, with a couple of so-so slides, a wave pool, and a kiddie splash area. Its fine pace to cool off on a hot South Georgia summer--though Ive been in nicer water parks elsewhere. The major complaints, however, run like this: * Many of the workers are lacking professionalism. Joking and cutting up and not prioritizing paying guests. I would assume the training is lacking as well. * Like many (but not all) amusement parks, they charge a ridiculous markup on food. A slice of crappy, tasteless pizza and a soda will run you $12. I recommend bringing a cooler filled with food and drink and keep it in your car. The walk to the parking area is not far. *Speaking of parking, its $10 to park! Granted its $20 at Disney, but thats for four parks. * The go-kart ride costs extra ($5 or free with the Season Pass). However, the karts are old and barely go faster than I jog. The workers are militant about even the slightest bumping, which takes all the fun out of the race. Moreover, it takes almost 15 minutes for them to empty the previous set of racers and load the next set. Then the race lasts about three minutes. I went only because my son wanted to do it but even he recognized the inefficiencies. * Regarding inefficiencies, multiple times when I tried to get my kids a snack, they were out of food. I tried to buy my son nachos and they were out of cheese. * In general, the park has the feel of a county fair that became permanent and grew over the years around the original core. There is only the barest of landscaping in the park and while exiting the park, the route reminds me of driving through a run-down country farm (well, in fairness, the park is located on the edge of south Georgia wetlands and swamps). If you live within an hour of Wild Adventures, its an all right place if you have little kids. There are playgrounds, animal shows, and the like. I would even recommend the Season Pass since just two visits justifies the cost and you get free parking and $5 priority seating at concerts (reserved and under a canopy in case of rain; however, most concerts are country, hip-hop, or Christian music, which are not my types of music--only one rock concert this year). However, if youre just passing through, you be better off just passing on through and visiting equally pricey but much better parks in Florida or even in the Midwest (Kings Island in Ohio and Holiday World in Indiana are infinitely better for the money--and free drinks all day at Holiday World).

BUYER BEWARE! This is the worst theme park I have ever been to in my life. I went to wild adventures on saturday 07/30/11 with a group of friends. We paid $36 a ticket which is a good deal, but after going to the park I know why it only cost $36. The entire park was disgusting, the bathrooms were in need of serious cleaning. There was a lack of shade and misters to keep the guests cool. The land scaping is over grown and pretty much unkept, the wood panels/barriers are rotted, stone walls were damaged and there is rust on the roller coasters (the hangman in particular had a lot of rust). All of the rides look like they have been neglected, and seriously need new paint. Some of the rides in the water park were self serve, from being understaffed. You had to fetch your raft from the water when someone finished. And no one helped you off the ride when you finished. The employees were rude and acted inconvienced when you ordered food or drink or even to get change for $5. Actually only 3 employees were nice and friendly. There is a lack of lockers to stow your things. I felt sorry for the animals in the park, they looked tired and run down. Ordering food was an adventure in itself, it took 20 mins to get a funnel cake, and to top it off the food inspection score in some of snack huts was 91 or the low 90s range. The food prices were similar to other parks Ive been to, so no complaint there. The snack people had no organization when they were prepping food and worked extremely slow. The gnats were ridiculous, I know its outside and thats fine. But you couldnt walk anywhere without gnats attacking you. You would think the park would have an employee ride around after hours and spray for the bugs. And yes they had a lot of gnats flying around in at least one of the snack huts that I could see. (that one had the 91 score from the inspector, go figure.) The lazy river and wave pool were shut down for about an hour because the water was too dirty for the life guards to see the bottom. (the lazy river is 3feet deep) The rides were fun, but its nothing you cant get in Orlando. I will never go to this place again. Ill pay the extra money and go to Wetn Wild or Universal in Orlando. At least there the employees know what they are doing, are friendly and willing to help if you need it. And the reason the wait time is so short for the rides is because this park sucks and everyone else was smart enough to go somewhere else. Please understand I am comparing this park to Wetn Wild and other Orlando parks and maybe that isnt fair. However, Im used to the customer service they offer and 90% of the time is excellant. Go if you want to save money. But even then its not worth the savings.

We took four adults and three children to the park Monday morning 6/27/16 and were there from 11:40 am and went on our very last ride at 7:55 pm and we had a blast. We chose the Ultimate meal deal +bottomless soda family plan and it was worth it. We got there early in the morning and parking was a breeze and so easy, not over crowded (probably cause of being so early and a Monday). We took the kids (ages 7, 6, and 10) on a couple of the rides at the front like the small yellow coaster to start. Around noon we were making our way toward the water park and this this is the part that actually prompted me to write a review. Our 10 year old is afraid of rides, wouldnt even go on the little one at the front. So we got to the Falcon ride over near the dinosaur exhibit and finally convinced them to go on with another kid. And as soon it takes off they start hollering and crying a bit but the guy running the ride, José, a younger Hispanic guy, starts doing this commentary and it gets their attention and I dont even remember all the things he said but it made them laugh and they started to have fun! Josés energy is downright infectious and fun. A definite A+ employee and person. After him I started paying attention to the attitudes of the people running the rides and all of them were pretty passionate about their jobs. Of course there were some that werent but it seemed to be primarily ones stuck in the sun so I dont blame them, lol. We got to the water park and spent a good bit of time around the water playground and in the wave pool. Then we got lunch and continued on with the animal exhibits and hit up swamp thing and the bumper cars for the second time around (the black lady running those was awesome too!). We wound our day up with the Boomerang, the Cheetah (our six year old sat in the front with me and was laughing the whole time, what an adrenaline junkie), the safari train tour, the ferris wheel, and the white car safari ride that spins in a circle. I wish we had had more time to do everything! I wanted to go on the typhoon coaster but we didnt have time. Next time tho! And there will definitely be a next time. My first and only trip previously to Wild Adventures previously had been 10+ years ago when I was 13 and it was just as fun as I remember.
