1,500 feet from the bar, live bands are audible in violation of the City Noise ordinance. 200 ft. from the bar the decibel level is 60-65, over 15 decibels above ambient noise level of 45-47 decibels. This is in violation of State law regarding what constitutes "Disturbing the peace" -even with an approved Entertainment License. Bands consistently play past the designated 11:00 PM quiet time and play supplemental music in violation of the agreed license. Enforcement is lax. Saturday August 8th loud music past 11:30, advised by officer badge # 17 "to go in house and shut doors and windows" if you dont like the noise from the mile marker. Rather unprofessional. No enforcement of the noise ordinaces...I wonder why? Mile Marker Restraunt business district. No Activity. 1500 feet away residential, ambient decibles Monday August 10 th 3:00 pm, 5:00 pm,7:00 pm,10:00 pm 40-45 DCB. 200 feet away boat ramp 3:00 AM the 11 the ambiant decible reading 43. Noise ordinace no more than 57 decibles entering a residential area from a commercial businesses activity. (new ordinance),was previously "not audible" in the residential district. More to come. Thanks seventeen. GPD. Tuesday August 11 th same reading times, light rain, 2 decibel higher. August 13 12:15 AM " Lay some sugar on me" playing decibel reading 58. Two loud partons, kicked out at 1:00 AM. I hope they were sober. Mile Marker Friday August 14 th 10:15 - 65 decibels boat ramp 200 ft from BAR, 59decibbels back yard after hour party ends 1:30 AM, Same Saturday. Quiet Sunday. Apparently local noise ordinances need not be respected nor considered by the Police nor Licensing Commission. Quid pro Quo?

My wife Lisa and I are back our 3rd time as we got married here 2 years ago and return for our anniversary. This place is amazing in every way! every bit of food for each meal weve ordered has been fantastic over the years! The breakfast is RIDICULOUS BEST FRENCH TOAST ON EARTH! YES ITS THAT GOOD! The clam chowder, lobster ravioli, lobster mac&chz, all amazing! They grow their own herbs and vegetables right outside the dining area on window sills all the food is fresh and the service is great. We were married here 2 years ago and are here again celebrating our anniversary. I will also say if anybodys ever considering this place for a wedding venue Elyse the manager did a phenomenal job and it was an absolutely amazing experience! Family and friends still say to this day it was one of the most beautiful weddings that have ever been to Forever grateful! Derek and Lisa Houde

We went to visit friends who were staying at the Mile Mark One and had a late lunch. The food was well made! We had the Black and Bleu Burger, Lobster Rolls, Chicken Fingers for the kids, and Sundaes for all! It was washed down with ice cold water, ice cold cokes and ice cold fishermans brew on tap by the indoor pool. The lobster roll I wasnt head over heels for, I thought it hovering around kinda OK. But everything else was great. Prices were good, staff friendly location a hop skip and jump to the downtown (if your driving... I wouldnt make it if I had to run from a zombie apocalypse) Id recommend the resturaunt and indoor pool and the "Black and Bleu Burger" definitely. The hotel and patio bar I didnt see much of, but it looked nice and inviting.

My wife and I arrived on a whim at 3:30 on a Sunday, just in time to hear the last set of a live steel drum band. We enjoyed cocktails (I had a Wherethefugawee and she a red sangria) at the stool seating overlooking the marina. Sun, the smell of low tide, slight breeze. Nice. We moved to an available table and, although a waitress cleared the table, no menus were brought. I had to seek them out. Initial table service was slow, but afterward friendly and efficient. We ordered the crab/avacado/chip appetizer. Light and very tasty but could have used a little more crab meat. We each ordered the haddock sandwich with fries. Batter was light and fish was fresh. Ran into two parties of folks we knew. Overall, a nice 2 hour visit. We would definitely return.

Was in Gloucester with my daughter and thought wed find a nice water-front spot to eat lunch. The entrance was a little puzzling because the restaurant is inside a small hotel and the signs werent very clear. But once we navigated the entrance and asked someone where the restaurant was, we were very pleasantly surprised. It was clean and comfortable, and the dining area was alongside the marina waterway -- all windows with a nice view. Had a very friendly and efficient server. Nice options on a small menu. We shared some crab cakes and each got veggie burger plates, which were delicious. Prices very reasonable. Afterwards peeked into the pool/bar area .. it looked very inviting.

Mile Marker was located in a beautiful area, right in the harbor with a stunning view of yachts and other boats. We ordered the mussels as an appetizer, these were quite good. I ordered the veggie burger as an entree and she ordered the lobster ravioli. My burger was just OK, and she felt the same about the ravioli. I liked her dish better. I felt the cost was too high for the quality of the food. I also did not like the fact that the restaurant was located right next to swimming pool. You have to enter the pool area to use the restroom.

Mile Marker One is always a fun spot to go--live music, lots of people having fun after a long day at the beach, a range of ages, and generally just a fun spot. This summer it looks like they added a tiki bar and some additional seating. Its sometimes tough to get a bartender because its such a hopping spot, but its worth the wait--and tip, the tiki bar has drinks and had no line when I was there on Saturday!

Its a fun on the water spot, the food is overpriced and at least one of their managers has a napoleon complex. It has the most expensive dockage around, but you have to travel almost 70 miles to find any place like it. They have live music, on site hotel, pool side bar. A brunch overlooking the water. The place is a lot of fun but it comes at a price. A Short tackless manager doesnt help their rating.

Views of the marina are great. Wasnt impressed by the steak tips or stuffed shrimp, but I would give it another chance and try something other than surf and turf. Outdoor seating would have been better with a breeze and fewer gnats. We were six, and sitting in a line on the deck was scenic, but not ideal for the group. But the place was mobbed and there werent other options.

Waitress was nice but my mojito was presented to me with the mint leaves all black and old. The spinach artichoke dip was flavorless. When going to the ladies room you have to walk through the indoor pool with kids splashing around, a wet floor which you hope you dont slip on. Thats was their firvme. Not going back

Decent lunch food. More of a bar food menu. If you are hungry eat across the street at The Causeway Restaurant. We went to the indoor pool for our kids. Whatever you do bring your own goggles, it is salt water and, the ones they sell are over priced cheap quality.

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit here. Food was great (steak tops with caprese salad and summer berry salad with chicken, both excellent) the Frozen Margheritas are awesome and generous. Friendly service.
