Our stay was very pleasant. Location was ideal obviously (with it being the only real place to stay that close to the bay). There were some things missed and unattended which I would usually dismiss unfortunately not for the price of this hotel. Let me start by saying the only reason we didnt address the hotel about these issues is bc we were there for such a short time and were barely in the room that to make it an issue at the time would have been more stress than it was worth to us and the staff. Im more hoping it is something the hotel can address moving forward :) -The plate on our door knob to the room was loose so every time we walked out it would come off more and more. - There were crumbled up newspapers and trash in one of the cabinets. -The remote for the AC unit in the front was missing from the room (we werent in the front area much so it wasnt a major issue for us). -Although we had a balcony view it was not as described on the website " private deck overlooking the Hotel patio" instead it overlooked the roof of what I believed was there storage room. -One of the outside showers had an awful smell coming from it on multiple days so we missed the chance to use that amenity. -There were dirty towels in the fresh towel bin however the concierge gladly got us fresh ones from the back-stock. (Did I watch too many episodes of Hotel Impossible before staying here?....haha) Now Iet me end on a good note. The concierge I met (both the gentleman and young lady) were outstanding, they had a very laid back yet professional demeanor and were great for conversation and suggestions to places nearby. The overall feel of the hotel was slightly European with a communal and freeing vibe, great layout design and I couldnt love the incorporation of natural light anymore! All in all the place was lovely and Im glad it exists. My relatives lived and worked here so I love to see it growing, any issues they have are easily fixable and I hope they continue to prosper :)

This hotel is fantastic. I was here for two nights in the middle of summer, and while all of the 22 rooms in the hotel were taken, the town was very quiet. I chose a single king room, which I thought was very spacious and tastefully decorated. The floors are hardwood, and the walls exposed brick - not something I like in a house, but a welcome relief from the boring wallpaper and hard carpets of the usual hotel chains. Other rooms have their own balconies that overlook the main street below, which is a nice value add if you get one of those. The bathrooms are clean and brightly lit, sharing the same modern design as the rest of the hotel. The complimentary breakfast included homemade granola, which was delicious, and their coffee is roasted locally. Thays a nice plus IMO. I will definitely be staying here again.

Cant speak for the hotel itself because we didnt get to stay there. Had reservations, but a tropical storm hit the same weekend. Besides not being enjoyable to go there in the rain, it wasnt safe with the flooding and the high winds meant travel across the Bay Bridge-Tunnel was restricted. All the manager would say was "oh well, try to stay dry and bring a parcheesi board." He wouldnt even consider moving our reservation to another weekend, let alone a refund. We were very excited to stay there, but instead were out over $500, and due to that rude manager, theyll never see our business again. Its too bad, because we were going to make that a regular getaway place.

This place saved our honeymoon!!! We were set up at a Motel on the eastern shore that was horrible to begin with and during our short stay there we found this hotel. We quickly canceled our reservation at the other place to stay here. The attention to detail is amazing!!!!!! -bathroom is amazing- marble counter top, slam proof toilet, wooden spa ceiling, and beautiful tile work -The room is fantastic- more than comfortable bed, LCD flat screen TV, amazing wood work, focal color to break from white, ipod dock alarm clock... This list could go on all day This hotel is THE BEST small town hotel I HAVE EVER STAYED AT!!!!!!!!

Very cute, contemporary hotel located on the main street in Cape Charles. Its with walking distance to the shops, restaurants and beach. Decor was nice and hotel was clean. Staff was friendly. My reason for deducting a star is because, though the hotel was redone it still doesnt have many amenities. No pool, no food, no bar. The beds were not super comfortable either (there was a dent where you can see everyone has slept). But the balcony was great and honestly theres not much else around here so Im sure Ill stay here again when I visit.

I work next to the hotel and its always so tidy. Every guest that comes into the coffee house is beyond happy with their stay. The employee so are happy and its at a great location because of all the shops next to it and the beach is so close. Whenever my parents or parents in law come to visit I ask them to stay there so I can walk to see them. I live in a small house so they dont really wanna stay with me. Its a great modern hotel.

I called the front desk agent for simple information regarding the hotel. He was extremely rude, unhelpful, and ill-minded. He proceeded to hang up on me and declined my call when I tried to call back. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and inappropriate for anyone working in the hospitality industry, especially for a front desk agent. I would not recommend staying at this hotel.

The staff have been wonderful, especially Libby at night. Very accommodating even with our weird needs at 4am. The rooms are clean and neat, and the beds are awesome. Would definitely recommend this place if you are in the area!!!

Excellent suites, very modern and fitting for the style of the town. Spacious, open, nicely furnished, and great location. Close to many shops and restaurants and anything else that may be of interest in the small, quaint area.

Hotel Cape Charles is absolutely beautiful. The rooms are elegantly appointed, the food is delicious, and Cape Charles itself is among the most laid-back, friendly, and incredible beach towns you could stay in. Highly recommend!

Nice hotel. Good location. Staff is nice. We just into some issues with the room. Ask for a seaside balcony for the view
