We had a wonderful and meaningful trip with Cape Ann Whale Watch on August 1 in the afternoon. Had several Blue shark sightings and many! (thanks to our capitain and crue!) sightings of Humpback whales especially association of three whales which is quite rare ( as whales are mostly solitary animals ) and mother-culf pair. Being in the presence of these intelligent and gentle giants is beyond words! The most important is that it was a responsible whale watching - hats off to our capitain, John! Also, our knowledge of whales expanded greatly thanks to Jamie, a really wonderful enthusiast, scientist and lover of whales with warm and engaging personality. We really grateful to the whole crue and educators whose wonderful work and dedication made our experience not only very exiting but meaningful. Educators worked hard the whole trip til the very end especially with children. Again, very grateful for great experience of a responsible whale watching. Unfortunately, we witnessed the example of irresponsible behavior from another company. We were thinking of having another whale watching trip and we will go with Cape Ann Whale Watch again! (Just one thing about a bathroom on the ground - could be better, to put it mildly. Still give 5 stars for the attitude towards whales and people. If the next time the bathroom is the same will give 1 star)

Bellissimo, spettacolare. Soldi ben spesi.

This a great whale watch! The boat is huge, clean and well organized. The crew is made up of a group of very enthusiastic young people, eager to educate all passengers about whales. They mingle with the crowd and give one-on-one talks about where youre headed, what to expect, show the actual "teeth-like" Baleen plates and explain feeding habits. We spent at least 90 minutes watching the whales come to the surface and go from one side of the boat to the other. We saw 4 humpback whales and one fin whale. At times they came close to the sides of the boats! Its a pretty smooth ride with plenty of areas of shade. Great gift shop at the ticket office as well.

Great time, saw many whales although they werent close but not the captains fault. Indoor lunch restaurant was good. The educators were excellent and very knowledgeable, I had many questions and they answered them all in detail. Also they had a kiddy section on the top deck on the way back and they totally entertained the young children. My toddler daughter had a great time. The only negatives were there were no place to change her diaper, the speakers were very loud and people vomiting. They should probably have barf bags. Other than that I would definitely would recommend!

This tour was absolutely unreal!!! I would give it 10 stars if I could! We saw 6 humpback whales on our trip just hanging around our boat just being curious. We got some really awesome pictures! The weather was great, we went at 8.30 and it wasnt even crowded. Fewer people go in the mornings so you have better chances of running back and forth from either side of the boat when the whales go under you and no one gets in your way with it being less packed on the morning tours. Overall great experience and we had highly knowledgeable staff on board with us.

Cape Ann whale watching was an amazing experience. The crew was very friendly and worked tirelessly to find pods of whales. We saw nearly 8 whales together in a pod by the end of our trip. We also saw a great white shark while heading out. Will definitely be bringing our children with us the next time. We wanted to test it out for ourselves before we brought all the kids. Also received a really great deal for this on Groupon and had no problem using our voucher on the weekend at the time we wanted. Thanks again!

POOREST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! They cancelled our 8:30 a.m. whale watch on Wednesday August 29th, saying that they wanted to save fuel by consolidating their customers. They tried to push us on to the 1:30 p.m. tour with no regard for our schedule. To top it all, the arrogant front office woman at the office did not offer a single apology. It seems they could not care less about their customers. Dont waste your time with these jokers! The other big whale watch company in the area will give you a better deal.

Our whale watching experience was absolutely spectacular. We couldnt have asked for more. My husband thought we were just going to see some whales on the surface but much to our surprise they not only surfaced they breeched. We got wonderful video. We came all the way from the southeast coast of Florida to experience this. If we had time we would have done another trip. The only negative thing about the trip is it took so long to get to the spot where whales were. Amazing!

Every time weve come, we always see some kind of activity. The crew is incredibly nice and always helpful! We dont go on any other whale watches simply because we always have such a great experience. They guarantee sightings, meaning if you go on a trip and dont see any whales, they honor your ticket for another day. Not many companies will do that for their customers. Highly recommend Cape Ann Whale Watch!

We did not see anything... and the morning group neither... we toured for four hours seeing nothing in the middle of nowhere and the motor producing tons of carbon in the bay... the kids and I were really disapointed. They offer you a free ticket to come back, but when you know the morning group didnt see anything either, you dont want to lose another half day burning fuel in the middle of the ocean...

Very crowded boat and spent the entire trip chasing 1 whale around. Passengers were bored and no longer engaged after about 1/2 hour. I guess a bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush. Definite emphasis on education as the "educator" talked nonstop for an hour. Wish we could have broken off from the other boat and searched for other whales. But hey, we didnt get skunked so that was a plus!

Boat ride was about twice as long as the amount of time we watched whales... the whales are just pretty far out in the water. Naturalist on board was very knowledgeable and the staff was interactive and happy to answer questions. Whales were great and we managed to get pretty close- captian navigated the boat so both sides could see and even though it was a foggy day we still got great views!

Great time on the Hurricane II!!! Saw 10 whales and a basking shark!!!! The cabin interior had placards that help to identify the wildlife. The naturalist was very knowledgeable and just as excited as us when we saw a whale. Boat is large and open with lots of room. Cabin had a full service galley that was a little pricey but good selection. Will definitely return!!!

A great value for the time that was spent watching the whales. We purchased the groupon and the time the Captain and crew allowed our group to spend on the ocean whale watching was double for what we paid. The Naturalist were enthusiastic and passionate about their work. It was a pleasure to meet Owl and her calf (which we vote to name Hoot).
