I found this course quite enjoyable. I have to say it is the best course that I have played in Massachusetts. I like that each hole presented at least one unique aspect. This pattern is set at the very beginning, the first hole is a sharp dogleg right. You have seriously to consider your approach shots distances. You cant just whale away on this course, except for certain instances. The variety of challenges: one pencil-thin very long hole, doglegs right/ left, uphill, downhill, shots over water, shots over "waste" areas (beautiful ferns and plant varietals), well demarcated impermeable out of bounds -- intermixed with the well-maintained course, and nature-feel via seclusion (only at one hole is a road audible and one house visible) provides a very relaxing round, even if youre hacking away (I am a 25 handicap). The clubhouse has an elegant ballroom, pleasant restaurant, well-stocked pro shop (even with some bargains). The staff is uniformly friendly (as are the other golfers: everyone here seems to be in a fairly good mood). At the bag drop you are met by valet service, and at the 18th there is another helper there to clean your clubs if need be. The presence of a par three course separately here ensures off-loading of lower-level golfers: beginners and youngsters. This keeps things moving along fairly well on the main course. There is a variety of tee launches: five of them per hole. This lets you notch your game appropriately. There is a driving range, and a high tech teaching facility. Go to their website for the flash preview of the holes, otherwise you will have to buy the course pamphlet for $5.50 (unless you have sky caddie or a knowledgeable member as part of your foursome). Minor criticisms: the Ranger was hurrying us around repeatedly even when there were people in front of us keeping us waiting, with nobody directly behind us, always exhorting us "youre playing a six-hour round", when in fact we werent (we finished in exactly 5 hours, clearly slower than desired but not as slow as he kept saying). $7.50 doesnt get you many range balls, which possibly should be included in the greens fee anyway.

I am not a course snob, and I am not a very good golfer. I shoot in the mid 90s on most days and have enough bills to pay that paying close $90 at a golf course better give me a great experience. I spent $86 on Saturday for the greens fees, cart, & range balls only to find the course in worse condition than Id experienced in the past. You basically pay $1 a ball at the range where your token doesnt even extract enough balls to hit 1 per club. This has to be fixed. We were treated very kindly by the starter who thanked us for showing up early and being ready to go. He gave us the go ahead to go off early and it seemed like by the time we were hitting our second shots, the other group was already right behind us. Tee times are not spread out nearly enough, and they allow walkers on weekends, which led to an almost 5 hour round. There was no ranger on site so the group in front us, which was a group of 4 plus what looked to be their coach was also behind another group of 4 who were walking. The foursome behind us was consistently on our tail at every tee box. A few of the greens were in rough shape and either the grounds crew isnt keeping up the way they have in the past or the players there have a serious lack of cleaning up after themselves. Tee boxes were riddled with divots, greens had plenty of ball marks, etc. I think if they just made people take a cart on the weekends and spaced out the tee times, some of the course condition stuff would be overlooked. We instantly had a bad taste in our mouths and it made us more aware of all of the other shortcomings, especially at $86. Fixe the amount range balls your paying for, add an extra couple minutes in between getting groups off, and dont let people walk with their coach at 8am on a Saturday morning. DO all of that and your starter wont have to give out free rounds during the week to get return customers.

The course is beautiful and a fun par 3. Most of the golfers you will encounter are very nice and many people offer you to play through. This was great. Over the years of golfing here, Ive only had a few unpleasant encounters with staff members and I have to say that 99% of the staff at Cyprian are very nice people. They are all willing to help and answer any questions you have. The golf course is really nice and fun. It is kept clean and tidy. I would absolutely recommend this place if you are looking for somewhere to hit the links. Great deal as it is only $12 for the 9 hole par three (unless you have a membership which in that case it I should free).

Excellent course with very unique holes from the start. Not an easy course for a beginner so if you like a challenge and enjoy using every club in your bag then this is your course. I always walk the course so I dont understand the negative review of the golfer who walked. Ask before you walk it! They will be the first to tell you the front 9 is very hilly. Trust me, they want you to pay for a cart. Great food, great golf and right off of 290. I make it a point to golf here at least 3 times a year.

The golf was fine. Good course. Pricey but fine. The restaurant was terrible. We sat down after a round and we were told " if you dont order in 5 minutes the kitchen will be closed" . We were offered the buffet that was torn apart and out for hours. The beers are on tap were down... At a golf course thats crazy. On a personal note... The dining room looks like my grandmothers house. Every time I go to that restaurant, I instantly feel like a burden. This is nothing new unfortunately.

I agree with Anthony - great course, every hole presents a new set of challenges. If it werent a bit of a haul for me to get there, Id play every week. Certainly not a course for beginners or 20+ handicap indexes...I keep thinking courses should put index values at the tee boxes instead of colors. Ive walked and carried twice without a problem. If youre in any kind of shape, its a fine course for walking with very little distance between greens and the next tee.

After paying $85 for the course (including cart) I expected good playing conditions. The greens were HORRIBLE - very dry, burned, and aerated ( plugged ) apparently a few days ago, with no sand or other fill. The putts bounced along. This was ridiculous. There was no warning of poor conditions and certainly no discounted price.

We had a great experience with Cyprian Keyes for our wedding. The location was beautiful and versatile, the food was very good, and the people were helpful, attentive and courteous. They are quite flexible compared to a lot of other similar venues so you can really make your wedding day what you want. Highly recommended.

I usually golf the 3 par which is in okay condition but I very regularly find pieces of cigars all over the place. The food is good and is reasonable priced but the service takes too long and lets jut say that some staff at the counter can be a little unpleasant. Overall a good place to casually golf with friends
