I had a few friends coming in from town, who wanted to see the fenway area. I didnt want to bring them to one of the pubs down there, I thought thatd be kind of boring and we were hitting up the boylston strip later on. I have been to Jillians a few times in the past but dont go on a super regular basis. I thought it would be fun to bring this crew bowling-something to kill a few hours and get a rest from the tourist traps around the city-and oh yes we did the dreaded duck tour as well! This visit was in the afternoon, so we didnt have to wait for a lane or deal with big crowds. The 3rd floor (lucky strike) is SOOO big and impressive. Everyone did a collective, "wow" when we got to the top flight of stairs. Its massive, and open and there are multiple options/areas, several bars, couch areas, a million lanes and a bunch of pool tables, and a few arcade games. Its really well lit (far from your uncles white light bowling alley) We bowled, had a great waitress (she checked on us multiple times) food was pretty good, and they even had a decent beer selection for my beer snob of a fiance. overall, 5 stars b/c its unique, its clean, it has something for everyone and it made my out of towners happy and didnt cost us an arm and a leg. I will def go back.

Horrible experience, got some drinks and food, took forever to arrive (over a hour), total was 100$ we paid 60$ cash and 60$ on card (20$tip) 20% even though service was horrible, my account got discounted 160$ On top of the 60$ cash we left total= 220$ on a 100$Check! ( idk why!!) talked to the waitress she said it was her mistake and that it would be refunded in up to 3 business days. After waiting 2 hours to play some pool we finally got a table, as soon as we go the table we asked for something to drink, 3 games (45mins) and nothing.. asked for the check and gave no tip, when we were leaving the waitress came up to me and questioned me about me not tipping (in a verrry rude way!) after I explained that we waited for over 45mins and no drinks she said that it wasnt her fault, that she had passed our order to another waiter, and that she was losing money if we didnt tip her. Trust me guys, they need to have a class on customer service. First experience and never going back. Terrrible place! No managers to talk to!

Worst experience in Boston. I was harassed from the moment I walked in the door. I was stalked from the 1st floor to the 3rd floor by an employee, I believed it was because I had a hat on. It was a Boston Red Sock hat by the way, which is odd that they would not allow when they are located next to Fenway Park. I came in wearing the hat with no problem but was told to take it off as I was heading to the door about the leave. That was the last strew, I was going to let their bad costumer services go but one can only take so much. They didnt have my size bowling shoe on hand and gave me a hard time because they had to go into storage to get my size. What horrible customer service, sorry my feet are small? My friend was told to roll his sleeve down because his arms were too buff, what the heck? And no, he was not joking because we asked and he stared at us like with attitude. I will never recommend this place to anyone.

I will never step foot in this place again. I was treated in such an undignified way because I brought outside food. I understand that it is their policy that outside food is not brought in. But, I had no idea they had a restaurant as a newcomer (first timer). There are much better ways to handle the situation instead of pointing at me and telling me to leave. I was meeting friends there and I couldnt even wait for them to come. Never let anyone make you feel worthless in an establishment where you are paying for service, especially in the case of your skin color. I would give this place 0 stars if I could. Also, besides the partiality in the treatment of their customers, security is poor. Nothing was checked except ID at the door. Its like anyone could bring anything into the place. With all thats going on in the world with gun violence and terror attacks, security is of crucial importance to me.

I like the concept of this place - a bar with bowling lanes and pool tables. The lights are low, the decorations inviting and club-like. The lanes are fine and the lounge area around near the lanes are pretty comfortable. Some friends and I went there to celebrate someones birthday - it was a great place to start the night. The only problem is that they dont let anyone under 21 in the place after 8pm. A couple people in our party planned to start the night off with us there because they were underage and then head home when we hit the bars. But they were either turned away at the door or the two we got in at 7pm, who were not drinking, were kicked out mid-game by a security guard. It was a little strange. At 8pm the place is basically empty. Beyond that little glitch, the place is a great alternative to the bar scene.

One member of the staff was extremely rude and unprofessional. I placed an empty bottle on the bar and this gentleman called me back to the bar and told me there was a trash in the bathroom....I was shocked. In an effort to smooth things over I picked my bottle up and walked it to the bathroom. I finished my business and approached the gentleman to apologize and shake his hand for not throwing my bottle away initially. He told me off saying my hands were too dry and that i didnt wash my hands. I honestly couldnt believe it at this point and asked for his name. I was told Dimitrios the first time and Zion the next. Clearly these were made up names and he was ashamed of his behavior.

The overall experience was good but the service was horrible. I was billed for a couple extra beers, an extra order of wings and nachos. When I told the server that I did not get these things she started arguing and saying "I remember serving you the above order". There is only one server on the 3rd floor and I cannot imagine she would remember every order for every table. The funny part is that she did remove the items in front of me but I do see another charge on my card which I dont remember making so I think she probably billed me for those items regardless. Dont recommend going there on a weekend night since the service is going to be very poor.

First of all - this is a pretty damn cool place to bowl! Youve got the chill-lounge couches, huge space, exposed brick and arched industrial windows, pimped-out bowling lanes, etc. They added some artistic flair to this place that makes the experience pretty unique to the old-school spots Im used to where you still use paper and pencil to track your scores. Believe it or not this was my first experience with the auto-scoring flat screens above our heads. Very cool. Call up 5 of your good friends, come here around 8 or 9pm on a Thursday night, stake out a lane, and order a few rounds of beers to wash down your gutterballs. Enjoy.
