Since I drive between Evansville, IN and Louisville, KY sometimes, I had seen the signs for Indiana Caverns and figured it would be an interesting place to check out. So, yesterday (Aug. 6th, 2016), I had some things going on in Louisville in the afternoon and figured that if I left early enough, I could make it to the Caverns and do the tour. Im glad I did! It was well worth it. Everyone there was so nice and the place itself was so clean and peaceful. Granted, I was there when they first opened for the day, so there wasnt many people there (just myself and 6 other people on the tour itself). I can imagine during the busier times, it might not be quite as peaceful. The gift shop was nice and had a lot of neat little things to buy. As for the tour, it starts off with a movie which is about 10 minutes or so long and its quite interesting and informative. The guide (I believe her name was Siena) was also very nice and could answer any questions anyone had (although Im not one to ask many questions). As other reviews have said, there arent quite as many "Ohh" and "Ahh" moments, but what makes it unique is seeing the Ice Age bones and of course, the underground boat ride. Theres not a whole lot to see during the boat ride, but its still really neat to do. Even their "greeter", Mr. Tooth (hes a cat that was out on the porch outside the main door) was really sweet. All in all, Indiana Caverns is a nice, interesting and informative place to check out if you have the time to do it and want to do something "out of the norm" for a few hours. I highly recommend it.

There are some beautiful sites for sure, staff is friendly, and fun games to play while waiting on your tour to begin. What I did not like was the stopping and the tour guide talking about the same spot for ever. The cave its self is short. If it werent for the talking it would be over in 10 mins. If you have children or adults who have short attention span this is not the trip for you.

Neat underground boat ride. I liked Marengo a bit better, but both are worth visiting. Dont take 4 stars as a knock. I liked the cave, I just thought it was a little too commercial and not enough cave. Im considering taking the wild tour and will update once that occurs. great for kids, older people might not be able to effectively navigate the steps down/up to the cave.

Super friendly & knowledgeable guides & gift shop staff! Unlike some other commercial cave experiences in the region, they have full bathrooms & amenities on site (not that this should deter you from touring other caves, but wanted to point out for planning purposes if you have small kids). Definitely a place we will visit again!

The cave over all is huge. Not many formations to look at. Lots of huge boulders to look at and there is a 10min boat ride. No formations on the boat ride. The sign from hwy 135 needs to be back a 1/4 mile. I missed the turn cause its on top of the turn up have to make. The price is 19.50 not 16 as the website says.

Cave is neat - but beware that this company advocates lessons of non-science (young-earth creationism) as part of its business model. You wont escape some religion to go along with your geology lesson. Website should be more explicit about what they represent and sell.

I loved the exprience. Our guide was Jay and he was very friendly, informative and made the tour interesting for everyone. I wouldnt recommend it for elderly people as there are a lot of stairs. The boat ride was small but good. Nice place to visit.

Went with the family, staff was very unwelcoming, my toddler was a bit agitated and the lady there told us they would ask us to leave if he is fussy during the tour. Very said as we were excited to visit the place after driving g for 2 hours.

I like the caverns, there are things for the kids to do while waiting for the tour to start like panning for stones and Cornhole. However, they need to have it posted that there are close to 70 spiral steps to leave the cave.

Great staff. Jurassic park style video before the tour. Tours run every 20 minutes or so. Not a long wait. Nice gift shop. Gravel parking areas for RV parking and turn around.

Sadly, this is just another evangelical business mascarading faith based beliefs as scientific truths. Expect lots of not subtle allusions to creationism and Christianity.
