I would like to inform you that today 4/1/2017 Was the worse experience I ever had at this bowling alley. Dont go there!!!!!!!! We went to celebrate a 10 yr olds birthday by bowling at your location. It was 5 children and 5 adults plus two lanes. One for the kids and 1 for the adults. All of the sudden the lanes where the adults are located, the lights shut off. So I went to a staff member to let them know and this staff member that is older with glasses says to me yelling "thats because you paid for 4 people and added an extra bowler". I told him I didnt understand him because we paid 80 plus dollars and the guy was saying we paid 35 something. I told the guy that we didnt pay that, we paid 80 plus dollars. He said to me "I dont care what you paid". That got me so mad that i gave them my shoes and the 10 people that was with me and told him how unprofessional he was speaking me. I am a supervisor at a healthcare I cant EVER imagine talking to a patient or even a customer the way he did. When I told him it was unprofessional to talk to me the way he did, he said "and who are you". So basically, it gives him the right to talk to me the way he did. I will never ever walk into this place again. It was embarres and the services was the worst. I live right next to it and its sad that now, I will never bring them to that place when we would always go there. I think if there was a problem, the staff could have spoken to us directly to fix it, instead of turning off the lights where our lanes were. My children and I didnt even get the chance to finish one game! Very upset! I hope you guys speak to this old guy and let him know how he needs to treat a customer.

We have been to this place a handful of times. Truthfully I dont know why we keep going back. They have the worst customer service I have ever encountered. They actually hate helping the customers, the customers are inconveniencing the staff. The lanes are horrible, there are only a handful of 10 pin lanes and you are lucky if you get a lane. We have waited up to 2.5 hours to get a 10 pin lane only to get yelled at to hurry bowling so they can close the bowling alley. This bowling alley is so horrible that we rather drive 1 hour away to a different legit bowling alley. What else is wrong with this place? Try exorbitantly overpriced! Be prepared to pay 40.00 for 2 people for a decent time. The only good thing about this place is the chicken fingers with a yummy sauce. Other than that, steer clear of this joint.

Overall: It is what it says on the tin - Bowling + some video games. Have gone here many times and its good fun. Ten Pin Bowling: Lanes are kept in very good condition. The automatic scoring is a little dated (blocky grahics instead of modern animations) but it works. Price is on the high side compared to rest of NE but in line with other Boston area lanes (its cheaper than Kings or Jillians, but $2/game more than Town Line Ten Pin). Food & Drinks: Food is standard pub stuff, above average for an alley. Drinks vary highly by bartender and are hit or miss. Location: The parking lot is dumpy and looks run down. Its more of a look unsafe than is actually unsafe sort of thing but it could... use a fresh coat of paint, so to speak.

Absolute ripoff. Over $5 per game for candlepin? Really? There are so many other candlepin places. I used to come both here and Boston Bowl for regular bowling, but that was years ago. Now, when Im back in the area, Ill go anywhere but here. For a place that hasnt been remodeled since the 70s (and thats being generous), and hasnt even updated its technology, they charge you far too much for what you get. Not handicap-accessible either - never mind the step to get in, you cant do regular bowling if youre in a wheelchair. You can at Boston Bowl, thats for sure.

Went to Lanes and Games for some Candlepin excitement but were surprised when we drove to 195 Concord Ave in Cambridge to find that it was a residential building. After calling the number listed, we were surprised to find out that this place is located on Route 2 and that the address really is 195 Concord TURNPIKE, Cambridge, MA. Be aware of that if youre considering making the trip out there. Also be aware that this is a CASH ONLY facility although they do have an ATM that charges you an incredible service fee to use. Just some advanced warning.

I have been bowling here since 1962, so I guess you could say this is my house.I bowl Tuesday nights, which happens to be 35 cent wing night, great deal, best alley food anywhere. May be tough to open bowl between 6 & 9 pm with so many fun leagues, but they are open till midnight.Great place to bowl, relax and meet people. Met my wife here in 1982,will be married 30 years in April and now bowl with my sons.If you think you would like to league bowl on a Tuesday come see me, we promise to try to find you a spot.Ya this is my house.

Going here I felt like I was making a stop off the highway to use the restroom. When stepping in, you are greeted by the bowling alley smell of ole. So that isnt anything special. Cleanliness is a 1 out of 10. Prices are alright, maybe considered a little over price. They need to sharpen their pencils because for the amount of business they can expect on a sat, this place should be a gem. Put a little more money back into your business.

Very much my old stomping grounds. This would have been a 2 star place, but they have done a good job of updating the bar and food area which was really run down. The bowling alley is still about the same, though I tend to like the old school classic style. The arcade is fun, but could use an update. Overall it is definitely a passable bowling establishment, but I wouldnt expect too many frills.

Candle pin and Ten pin in the same building! Lots of lanes, plenty of room, and a classic bowling atmosphere. This isnt cosmic bowling, or teen bowling, or any other derivative. Its bowling. I like that. The food service at the bar upstairs was mediocre and slow, but was as expected for a bowling alley. I will definitely go back again.

This place is amazing! One of the few places left near Boston for BOTH candlepin and "big ball" bowling. Its 2 floors. Downstairs is the candlepin with an arcade that includes some pinball! And upstairs is the "big ball" bowling with pool tables and a bar. Decent beer selection for those who enjoy craft beer. Great, fun old school vibe!

For candlestick bowling, this place is pretty good. It is also straight out of 1970. Im not sure that any of the fixtures or technology have been updated since then. There is a small arcade, a small bar, and ramps for small children to bowl with. The price was a little higher than I expected and dont look for anything fancy here.
