Loved using the Groupon voucher with my friends for my birthday over the summer! Then was delighted that I came back here with my co-workers for a networking event. Compared to the Dedham (Legacy Place) location the Boston one definitely doesnt look as new or have as many lanes. They have a retro 50s style theme from the logo to the interior design. Conveniently located at a 5 minute walk away from the Hynes Convention T stop and with an adjoining garage with a huge "KINGS" banner, it was an easy place to find. Without the promotion, Id say that the prices for bowling and rentals is a bit inflated compared to other bowling places. Definitely keep an eye out for the vouchers. The food at this place is decent, but nothing mind blowing. I think the Dedham location may be better. We had the cheese and fruit plate, scallop with bacon, beef teriyaki skewers, various flatbreads, sloppy joe sandwiches and way too much other food we couldnt finish unfortunately for my work group. They have custom drinks such as the Dude, which were reasonably priced and tasty. Overall we all had fun each time, but maybe due to the age of place there were several instances that when the pin reset there was one missing. This place also has the air hockey tables, but you need pre-paid coins in order activate these machines. Just due to the distance away from me I would rather try my luck with parking in Legacy Place rather than schlepping into Boston unless I was already in the area. Worth noting that they do validate for parking, which helps a little bit.

For the second year in a row, KINGS-Boston hosted our Employee Appreciation Corporate Event for about 100 people. Consistently, they have shown a high-degree of professionalism, sensitivity to internal politics when warranted, flexibility with both food choices as well as setup, and creating an atmosphere that allowed all to let their guard down and have some fun. The food is always fantastic and varied to meet the expectations and palates of all attendees, the drinks were delicious (and plentiful!), and the venue affords all the opportunity to find something they like (e.g. pool, shuffle board, bowling, Skee-Ball, air hockey or simply the finer art of chatting with colleagues over some arugula and mushroom pizza and a nice glass of Cabernet. For others it was a shot of Fireball and a mean game of billiards. The beauty of Kings is that is has something for everyone and each and every person left our event with a big smile on their face with stories to tell. And that all is due to the immensely professional and accommodating staff at Kings. No one does it better. Thank you for making our day, so very special. Again. Best, Kip Durney

Kings has something for everyone! You can take a large group here for bowling, billiards, trivia, or karaoke...OR come with a date and grab a drink in the lounge, bowl a few frames, or listen to live music. Try their bowls, or as we affectionately call them, "Face-Sized Drinks" (FSDs for short), and grab a bowl of their house made potato chips to much on (cheap and yummy!). Then, move on to bigger and better things like their wraps, or best of all, steak tips (YUM). Be prepared to wait for drinks in the lounge, though, as often the floor is staffed by only one server. Youre better off grabbing a seat at the bar or one of the fancy round tables so the bartender can watch over you with attentive eyes...

As evidenced by a giant gathering of marketing associates last night, Kings is great for group reservations -- unfortunately, that means smaller parties sometimes have a bit of a wait even on weekdays. Fortunately, skee-ball and pool are a couple strides away, and youre provided with a buzzer in case a lane opens up faster than expected. The apps and beers (~$8 and $5, respectively) are surprisingly well-priced compared to the gouging I typically expect from a bowling alley. Service seems to be hit-or-miss, but the wacky video segues between frames are going to keep me coming back :).

Kings is a great one stop shop kind of place - they have a bar, lounge, restaurant, bowling, and pool! Their food is decently priced, and their home made potato chips are amazing, especially when theyre served warm. They have an expansive cocktail menu with a lot of great drinks. Kings hosts Trivia on Tuesdays (which is also college bowling night), and they have karaoke and live bands on the weekends. The only downside is that the service is not always the best, and it can take forever to get a lane for bowling even when it doesnt seem all that busy.

Not Impressed. I went here for new years, and the tickets were $90, included food, midnight toast, bowling and more.... then they charged you $20 for cheap champagne... they started shutting down some of the rooms at 1 am, when the party was suppose to go until 2 am. it took over an hour and to get our coat from coat check, bouncers are high strong and very rude for no reason, if your that miserable quit. the food was so gross you couldnt eat it. pizza was sitting in a puddle of grease. never going back.

I celebrated my 24th birthday here and had an amazing experience. We were a party of 8 and went at 7pm on a Sunday. The place was pleasantly filled but not overcrowded. The waitress was extremely sweet and the service was great. She even got me a cheesecake platter when she found out it was my birthday! I would recommend getting the Fat Elvis milkshake with peanut butter and bananas! Yum! The food is reasonably priced as are the games of pool/bowling etc.

Ive heard about this place a few times, but was skeptical. I made a phone call and spoke to some very enthusiastic staff and they booked us an eat then bowl reservation for my roommates birthday! We ate dinner in their lounge restaurant and my waitress even got her a birthday shot with a candle! Our lane was ready by the time we ordered dessert and we bowled while eating our sundaes! Amazing drinks and young, spirited staff. Definitely 10/10!!

Kings is a great place for bowling, pool, drinks, and watching the game when it starts to rain with a dozen friends. Ideal for work parties during the week. This is a place to be physically social. Loud so not quiet conversation environment. Adult amusement park so not the place for gourmet meal, fine wine, or craft beers. You come here for bowling, playing pool, sports bar, bromance, flirting, mainstream drinks, and quick comfort food.

IF YOU USE A CARD HERE, MAKE SURE TO MONITOR THE CHARGES. Fairly certain that either the bar tender or the people behind the counter skimmed my card info. Went there on the Saturday and used a card that I rarely ever use because they were holding my other card while I played pool. On Monday, my card info was used for some $150 charge at a currency exchange place. Luckily Discover caught it. Id recommend using cash at the bar.

Good spot to bowl- if you can get a lane. Unfortunately, the staff cant or wont tell you how long youll be waiting so you just have to sit there and hope youre up soon. They dont seem to be in any rush to fill empty lanes either - maybe holding them for the eat and bowl promotion they have? I dont know i was just disappointed to be sitting there waiting to bowl looking at empty lanes. Ps this was at 930 pm on a Tuesday.
