We were there for a graduation ceremony so my pictures dont focus too much on the architecture but it was "cozy". The theatre had small seats, a balcony (which I didnt view), all sorts of different types of art on the walls ranging from Egyptian to Renaissance which was interesting. I dont know if they have air conditioning normally but they sure did not for our 2+ hour long wait and commencement address. Everyone was uncomfortable and hot, the bathrooms were small and outdated. I dont know if maybe it was night time and I had a few drinks and the AC was on if I would have a different opinion, very intimate place to see a live show if thats what you are looking for.

Cabot St. Cinema is an EXCELLENT place to go watch a film. This theater still has that old time charm. When you walk in, you feel like you are walking into the theater that your grandparents talk about when they only paid a nickel for 2 movies and the news. There is always a man playing the piano with classic tunes before the movie starts. They have a good selection at the concession stand and a great cafe upstairs. As for movies, I have never been disappointed, they are usually indie or foreign films. For only $8 you cannot go wrong.

Saw a concert and a movie here. The concert was great, its a small theatre but a fantastic one. Theyve recently installed brand new seats, and theyre very comfortable. The movie we saw there wasnt so great, as the acoustics werent ideal for film audio, and coupled with the lights being on in the rear of the theatre and some pesky heating sounds above, made for a less than lovely movie-going experience. Concerts only going forward for us!

I love this place. Its a great place to check out a movie and they have an excellent vaudeville type magic show every Sunday. My only complaints are the seats could use some updating, and the balcony is never open when I go. Other than that, this place is a Beverly tradition. I remember seeing Le Grande David there as a kid, and recently I took own son there for the first time.

This movie theatre is the ONLY theatre where if you arrive to the movie after it has already started, the ushers will fill you in on what you missed!!!! The interior is grandly decorated and incredibly clean so that going to the movies feels like a special occasion again. Skip the massive, dirty, crowded theaters in the mall and go to a cozy, beautiful theatre instead.

Affordable and fun place to see music live. AUG 27th I sat center balcony row AS , Kenny Wayne Sheppards guitar and supporting band sounded great, unfortunately , like many venues, the vocal sound was not always clear, Im not sure if its the venue or the band that can be blamed for that, when I saw Muddy Waters there jus vocals were much clearer. Overall great time.

They do a lot of different performances from music to comedy to films. I rather enjoy their classic movie nights and they are reasonably priced (as are their refreshments). The chairs--even their new ones--arent the most comfortable but it wont keep me from coming back.

The sound was good from where I sat - in the VIP section at the back. It wasnt much more expensive, and it was nice to have a seat and small table to enjoy a drink with some good music. I will continue to go back as long as they bring in the old school rock stars.

Beautiful old fashioned theater, where Ive seen Le Grande David as well as some feature films (they actually make some great choices). Its not the most comfortable or modern theater, but you dont go there for that - you go for that deco charm.

Fabulous place to take in a movie or concert! Lots of parking nearby in pay to park lots. Plenty of nice restaurants to dine at before or after a show. A once beautiful spot on the rebuild to its once majestic being!

Great shows, great cause. Theyre working on the resurrection of this theater, and the music that theyre putting in there is great. Seating is good, the mix on the balcony can be a little wonky.

The Cabot is a cool, historic theatre in downtown Beverly. They show a great selection of new & old movies, as well as music shows from a variety of great artists. We love The Cabot!

Great theatre, but no elevator. Because of surgery, stairs are difficult and painful. The managers and staff were very accommodating in finding me a seat on the floor, VIP section.

My first time here was a true joy seeing the Bacon Brothers concert. Not a bad seat the house. Great old well preserved palace. I would definely return for more shows here.

Great small venue, recently restored interior. Saw La La Land there, better experience than AMC. Looking forward to seeing a live music performance there too someday soon.

Seats can be a bit fatiguing, but boatloads of charm and history amply compensate for a sore backside.

Loved Garrison Keillor. The theater is a gem, a step back into the past, lovingly restored.

A few of the staff were pretty rude and its not the best concert venue for an energetic band
