Come on, this place can have five stars for simply existing and being what it is: free and interesting. Sure, its not worth a special trip but if youre in the area, spend some time noticing the incredible colorations of the wood duck or the proportions, up close, of a bobcat. To call it small is an understatement, but to call it charming also might be.

Conveniently located in the Central Riverside Park. Its an outdoor exhibit thats open all year, even in the bitter-cold Kansas Winter. The animals are living in outdoor "habitats" that are truly metal cages with some live foliage and water pools.

Not bad for being part of a free wide-open park there is a beaver but sometimes he is not outside of his habitat so you wont be able to see him
