Were from New Orleans, where there is a huge zoo, and live in Minneapolis, where there are 2 huge zoos, so we thought this one wouldnt be as good when we arrived because it was so much smaller. But it was, and I think for that reason! I loved how close you could get to the animals. We touched all of the animals in the petting zoo/farm area. We fed ducks, geese, and farm animals. We couldve touched the prairie dogs even (but didnt in case they would bite), and we were able to touch and pet the male deer (super cool experience!!). The eagle was also nice to see unobstructed since he has an open-front enclosure. The wolves and red panda were so awesome to see up close. The carousel was also fun. Overall, LOVED this zoo. Very glad we stopped.

This zoo has really stepped up the last few years. Not too large that you feel uncomfortable letting your kid out of sight. Friendly volunteers there to answer questions. I really love the PA announcements of live feedings and quick q&a sessions. The new kids area is really cool and had a small gift shop. Theres a refreshment stand and a carousel too! The carousel kinda goes fast so make sure you are there to hold any small child that wants to ride. Best deal is the membership. You get access to other zoos and lots of deals and special events.

A great place to spend an afternoon with kids. We love going and my grandchildren especially enjoy being "hands on" with the goats and feeding the animals that are allowed to be fed. Lots to look at and you can also enjoy a bite while sitting at a picnic table. The new areas are beautiful and very kid friendly. Also, at the end of our time at the zoo, we all enjoy the beautiful carousel. Great for families with younger children who dont want to travel a long distance to see some unique and familiar animals.

Love the zoo! Such a fun, relaxing family space. I wish the city would have passed that building plan a couple years ago to expand the zoo and add restaurants and everything to the zoo but they didnt pass that. Stupid people. They wouldnt add a .5% sales tax to build it which would have greatly helped our city and brought much tourism to city. Regardless I love the zoo. Such a pretty place theyve made it. They should expand it to the other side of the bridge!

Very small zoo. We were disappointed. Literally took about 30 minutes to walk through it. Quite expensive ($10/adult and $7/kid). The Como zoo in Minneapolis is bigger (and free, but suggested donation of $3 /adult $2/child). This is what they should charge. Winnipeg zoo is about 10 times bigger, about 3-4 hours to walk through and $20/adult or $10 per child. Much better value.

I love the variety of animals and that it is not so big that you cant see everything. I use a walker and wheelchair and I could go everywhere in the zoo. The zoo keepers answered questions that guests had. I also enjoyed watching the children interacting at the learning stations. I found nothing that I did not like and enjoy! Love this plave

Way too high of admission. Paid to pretty much take a walk and let our kids play at a park for 30min. Out of the whole zoo only saw about 5 animals. Doing work on too many exhibits so the animals were not present. Not very much to see, not very many animals. The exhibits are nice. And zoo is kept very clean. The zoo itself is very nice.

Fargo, ND has a zoo. Its great. Imagine the animals that CAN live in captivity in a zoo in Fargo! Its not like we are going to make a huge dome for animals to live under on our tax money, or our donations. My whole family loves our zoo and the incredible animals that they bring to us. I applaud there efforts and visit often!

Great little zoo to bring the youngins! The facility is well kept and the staff is very friendly! Follow them on facebook to see some of the great events they host, many are free and the kids love it! Cant beat a free event at the zoo when you want to take the kids out for a day!

This is the worst zoo I have ever seen! They have none of the regular zoo animals and what they do have are so depressed looking. The Eagle was the worst, sitting on his perch with clipped wings! Just awful! And the $10 price per adult is robbery! Shame on the Red River Zoo!

Its not bad and you can enjoy a couple hours here. Theres not a ton of exotic animals or anything. The place is well kept as far as cleanliness goes and the staff seem nice. Everything else is great. The membership can be used at some other zoos which is a huge plus.

I would just like to say that the zoo is great. I brought my 99 year old grandma in a wheel chair it is not handicap accessible. People in chairs can not see the animals and rough trails. Chains hanging that get caught in the tires. So would like to see that change.

Хороший небольшой зоопарк. Для неспешей прогулки на пару часов. Много людей с детьми. Вход для взрослых 10$.

This is a very nicely-kept zoo. It is very small, but quaint. If you plan to go a few times, the family membership might be worthwhile. They host many fun events and activities for kids and families, sometimes even free. They are open in the winter, too.

Weve been to many zoos around the country, but we love this zoo the best. The intimate, uncrowded setting is perfect for kids, who will also love riding around in the red wagons provided. Very broad selection of animals to see, as well. Highly recommend!

Fun zoo for a first time trip; red pandas are always fun to see. Nothing compared to the San Diego Zoo, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, or Denver Zoo. Came here for the Pokemon Go event and was sadly disappointed by how small the facility was.

Nice, little zoo with some very nice grounds and eating areas, along with small little concessions placed in convenient areas. The staff is very friendly and willing to answer any questions you have. It is definitely worth a visit.

Totally amazing zoo, they threw a surprise anniversary party for my parents who frequent the zoo often and my dad volunteers there, and my 2 month old son got to experience his first close-up animal encounter with a red panda!!

Im a little sad a city the size of Fargo doesnt have a zoo or rescue habitat worthy of its size. This one is small, its a good size for the children younger than seven. Any older than that the children will boor easily.

Small zoo but the price of admission reflects the size. It was great for our young kids and we were able to be in and out in about 3 hours. Bring quarters, there are lots of opportunities to feed animals.

Excellent zoo for its size. It is still growing and is in a city that deserves a larger zoo. It should just get better over time. We went with family of all ages and everyone enjoyed it.

Its a great little zoo, with plenty of animals for my family to enjoy. Of course, no trip would be complete without the carousel or a picture with the tiger-bison statue out front.
