I am a single Dad on a budget. The Econo Hour makes it possible for us to be able to afford to go to the movies at all. We go as often as we can and have grown to Love the staff, they are mostly young but respectable. Here lately, I have had several friends comment that they didnt feel comfortable going to this Theater for different reasons, and this has bothered me. Tonight, we went to see a new movie for the whopping $5 each plus $2 each for popcorn and drink. While we were in line, we watched a complete stranger offer to buy popcorn and drink for some boys that appeared to be short on funds. Another lady watched over someones grandchild that got away from them until they could catch up, and someone else took the time to pick up my daughters umbrella she left on the floor and bring it to the front. The people who attend this theater for the most part are community minded people who care about one another. This is where we go to watch movies and plan to continue to do so!

This is probably one of the most dated theaters in Memphis. But, for the value, you cant beat it. First run movies for $4 between 5 and 6pm daily, and you can add a popcorn/drink combo for $1! The floors are a bit sticky and the place is a bit dirty, but the seating is decent (with armrests that raise, a good incline and a table in front of you for your snacks). I dont go other than for Econo Hour, but $6/ticket (matinee) and $7/ticket (regular) is still quite a bit cheaper than the Malco theaters in the area, so its worthwhile if you have a large family or live close by.

This is where I go when I want to see the newest movie for the cheapest price. I recommended this theatre for its prices on a number of occasions but I wont anymore. There was a rodent living in a wall in the foyer. I was so paranoid after seeing it I began to be cautious and true enough another was running down the theatres stairs. I immediately alerted my friend and left during the showing. I told the staff to keep my refund and put it towards an exterminator.

BEWARE!!!! This is the place to go IF YOU WANT YOUR CAR/TRUCK BROKEN IN TO while youre watching a movie! NO SECURITY WHATSOEVER!!! No cameras.....nothing! Management or owner of Palace Cinema dont give a damn! Police said they get called to that place just about everyday. Cheap prices for a movie and popcorn, but you end up paying hundreds of dollars getting your damn car/truck repaired from the vandalism and theft! BEWARE!

I am a single mom,and the atmosphere and prices of this theatre are great. The building is old with minor home depot up grades. Lol.. I dont feel unsafe or that if I go to the bathroom I wont have a seat. The staff are all teenagers,but they are well behaved,and respectful for the most part.So I say come between 5-6,and see for yourself-You get a movie,popcorn,and a soda for $7.

Good prices. Ok seating. Older theater. Service is good. Their specials are the best. One improvement would be increased security during busy times. Our truck was broken in to during the daylight. In fact two trucks were broken in to that same day. No security outside surveying the parking lot. Police report filed, but no followup from the management.

Terrible management! Dirty Dirty Dirty, we went there and the employees were so unperfesional that it was off putting. We went into the movie and the screen was skipping,so we went and ask for a refund. The manager refused to give us a refund because we had been there for 30 minutes! "Worst movie theater I have ever been to"

The place is old, a little dated, and a little unkempt, but the prices are some of the lowest in Memphis and the movies are current. You can watch the same movie here and add you can the Paradiso for half the cost. Theres also alot fewer people there so its more private. In a budget? Go here

I actually have worked here before, and I will say that this is the only theater we go to! Everyone is so professional and kind! The movies show great and not to mention that the Econo Hour is a plus! This is our favorite spot during the summer especially when it rains! LOVE IT

I loved this theatre until I went to see a movie Friday night with my husband and a rat crawled out where I was sitting. The prices are ok and I have no complaints about the food cause I dont eat there, but once that happened last night I dont think ill be coming back.

So disgusting! Air conditioning was out. Seats were super ratty, no cup holders. Had to stand in a crowded hallway to get drinks. I seriously cannot get over how rundown this place is. Also some women had her 13 or 14 son in there. Bathroom was also gross and small

Im a single dad, who loves this place. Its not near as expensive as the Malco in Cordova where I live. My daughter always enjoys her movie, and its always clean. Just like the bigger places watch movies here, only smaller and cheaper. Always a good time

Surprised anyone would give more than one star. No cup holders, dirty & old worn out seats, smallest concession I have every seen. The worst part was the screen had a tear down the center and the picture was fuzzy.
