Beautiful front door to Cincinnati that offers iconic views of both the riverfront and the city skyline. A must-see on any trip to the Queen City in order to really take in the beauty of the Roebling Suspension Bridge that sits in the middle of the park. Catch it in spring or summer to see its gardens at the best. Loads of family-friendly features make this the perfect spot to relax and let kids run wild. The spray fountains and playgrounds will keep them occupied along with the carousel that overlooks the park. I recommend taking a blanket and finding a spot in the shade under the Roebling Suspension Bridge (to listen to it sing) or amongst the tree groves. The Ohio River Trail, that runs through the park and connects to other riverside parks along the Ohio, makes this an easy place to run or bike. Both nearby Red Bike stations and the bike center make it simple to rent bikes and explore the whole area. This is also a great place to clear your mind in the middle of the work day with the porch swings offering a great way to take in the mighty Ohios flow and with the labyrinth giving an easy way to unwind.

This park is a wonderful island of green in the very heart of the Cincinnati area. I walk here all the time. The swings along the river are a delight for relaxation in and enjoying the beauty of the Ohio River. The view reveals the sweeping lines of Roebling Bridge, which is an esthetic delight. This one of the pretties bridges you will ever see. The Roebling was built in the 1860s, to serve as a prototype for the Brooklyn Bridge. The design was regarded as a great break through in bridge architecture and design. Now, this type of bridge design can be found all over the world, but the Roebling and the Brooklyn were the first and second bridges in the world using this type of design. The Riverwalk is a wonderful place for walking, jogging, bicycling (rentals are available), Its also a wonderful place to simply relax. The labyrinth is a very popular feature. Its very good place for mediation and for relaxing and thinking. Picnicking here is very popular.

Smale park is unbelievably awesome addition to Cincinnati. The grounds are meticulously cared for and beautiful. There are lots of places to picnic layout and enjoy, and you can also play and meet lots of new friends. For families with kids, there are few better places in the city to go to, especially in the warm water. Our kids had a blast playing in the different water environments - from the fountains near Great American Ballpark, to the splash area with pumps, drains and fun nozzles. And even in the creek area that stones to jump on. Great views of the city and river. I remember as a kid driving to Reds games from Florence, KY. We would always park in Covington and walk across the bridge. And, it was pretty dirty and shady looking on the OH side. Still shake my head and am just so happy about the investment to clean up the Banks and make this a beautiful place for locals and tourists to visit.

Very friendly place. Parking can get expensive if you go around the time of a game (some places were charging 10 to $20). If your willing to walk two blocks there is $5 parking towards the lower bridge area (past the stadium). Its a great place for families or date nights. There is a carousel thats available until 4 p.m. (check website for dates). In addition, vendors throughout the area are set up to sell you delicious snack options. The view of Kentucky right across the water is also nice. On a hot day you will definitely need an umbrella or a ton of sunscreen lotion, due to the sunny open atmosphere. The best part about Smale Riverfront Park is the price tag- free. Overall, plenty to do, see, and lots of fun for people of all ages. A great tourist attraction. I appreciate you for taking time out to read my review. I hope it was informative.

I grew up in Cincinnati and have not been back in awhile, and all I can say is WOW! This park is amazing and has completely transformed what once was a dingy, dirty waterfront area. Everything is easily accessible, clean, fun, safe and extremely beautiful. From bike paths to walkways to playgrounds, water features, flowers and grassy areas, this is definitely a wonderfully family-friendly area to take a stroll along the river, play and relax. We found easy parking next to the new carousel, and walked down to the park from there. Make sure you visit this new gem if you are visiting Cincinnati, or have lived there all your life. We will be back!

Was a very nice park. Definitely, not what I was used to back in the 80s & 90s. If youre going down expecting to get wet & cooled off & you dont have access to a pool then yes Id recommend it. But, if youve got a pool or belong to a swim club then go there. I guess by what everyone was telling me I had higher expectations. My two year old had a blast, my eight year old got bored very fast. Overall Im glad I went so if we decide to go again I know what to expect. Definitely bring a stroller or wagon because the kids will have to walk. We did bring our wagon & Im so thankful for that.

Looking for a fun free day or evening out with your family or significant other? This is a beautiful place to spend a nice family outting or a romantic day or evening (I liked evening because of the lit up fountains). They have swings along the waterfront, beautiful flowers, fountains and a playground. Their was alot of people with kids but it wasnt overcrowded and it was quiet. They have a big chess and checker board game on the sidewalk along with other games.

This park is a treat to the citizens of Cincinnati and anyone that visits. Great views of the river, great playgrounds, fountains, areas for kids to play in water, work-out activities, and really really nice bench swings placed through out for couples to swing at night and watch the river. Its a great place... Also be sure to check out the Carousel! Its beautiful and very cheap to ride and this area has nice indoor bathrooms if you are visiting the park.

Awesome stop for tourist and even locals. Water fountains for kids to play in. Educational structures in case you need to keep kids entertained or you home school, and its free. Swings and lots of grass to picnic. Bathrooms are clean and security is present. You can be there at 7 am or 11 pm, you will feel safe. Easy access to walk across the bridge and see the river with ducks and turtles, if your lucky. Some parking is free on the Kentucky side

This is a fantastic park to visit. Today was our familys second excursion to the park. Both times we have parked in Kentucky and walked over the Roebling Bridge. If youre coming from the south this is a great option for free parking. The park features great playground areas with slides, climbing, fun water features, and more. We also enjoy the picnic tables, bench swings, and views of the Cincinnati skyline and Roebling Bridge.
