Had my parents in their 70s, my brother, his kids (10, 4) and our 3 kids (1,2,7) and we all had a terrific day there. We brought fishing poles and fished off the little dock. My daughter actually caught one. The playground, although busy, was amazing - one of the best Ive seen. We enjoyed the walking trails! I had to google to confirm the plethora of three-leafed plants along the walking trails were not poison. The picnic pavilion was perfectly shaded and kept us cool out of the sun! The sand pit had some bunny droppings in it - actually a lot, but another mom and I scooped them out because kids were continuing to play in it so we figured we needed to clean it up some. Be nice if a parks person could come through their daily and check that. I saw a guy taking the trash once. The place gets crowded but yet it seems there is still enough space for everyone even though it doesnt feel like a huge park. The "porch swings" overlooking the lake were nice and relaxing. Get there early, set up your spot, bring some lunch, and stay for a while. We had a very enjoyable day there, all 10 of us.

Morgan Falls Overlook Park is sort of a hidden gem in Sandy Springs. This park offers a variety of activities for the entire family. There is a playground for little tikes and adolescents. The park offers covered play areas to deal with Georgias intense summer heat. One can take sport in kayaking and canoeing right on Morgan Falls Reservoir. A great venue for picnicing and cookouts. There is a large pavilion area with running ceiling fans and accessible charging outlets for your smartphone, laptops, or any other technical device. A very nice walking trail and hiking trails. Restrooms are available and there is plenty of parking. This is a great spot to just hang out at anytime of the year.

This park is everything a park should be! There are hiking trails, dirt trails, "no mud-turf" under lots of porch swings, cement sidewalks - great for wheel chairs, bathrooms, great playground toys to climb on for people of all ages, covered picnic tables and a historic fireplace. A long flight of stairs and a ramp both lead to a waterside peir. I agree that parts of the natural trail suffer because of the number of feet that pass across it, but it is still a great hike up the side of a mountain/hill and then down the other side. There were some interesting native plants and views of the river from the top. If you want railings and safety just stick to the lower fenced-in levels.

I wish I could give different stars for different categories. 5 stars for cleanliness, environment, great view, etc. 2 stars for getting pass the parking on a busy Saturday afternoon. This park is excellent for young, old, adventurous, or anyone looking for a great place to have a leisure walk. Friday afternoon are great due to ample amount of parking and not crowded. Friday feels peaceful. Saturday is a entirely different animal! Its crowded, chaotic and stressful, especially trying to get parking near the park. There are lots of parking down the park which feels like an eternity though. Once you get passed the parking and hauling all the stuff from a pretty steep walk, its great!

This place is really awesome. The park is clean and nicely designed. Has play are for kids. the seat/ swing is very good and is the highlight of this park. We can get a great view of the lake/river sitting in those swing sofas and have a relaxed calm and jolly time for any number of hours. We went too early around 8 30 AM during December, so it was very cold and we couldnt stay long, we just took some snaps and sent 15 mins and thought will take a ride on the other side and where surprised to see a dam on the other side. The view there too was good but there are no seating there, there is a dog park. I guess during spring the colors will be a lot better here. Will visit again.

Wonderful family park for all ages including the very young. The playground is top notch with fake turf grass and sun shades (although the slides still get hot). Lots of swings and 2 separate play forts for younger and older children. Tall and advanced climbing spider web for older kids. Lots of porch swings overlooking the lake with a huge pavilion. The walking trails are about a mile above the playground and along the lake. Drive down to check out the Morgan Falls Dam and dog park. Generally busy and could be hard to find a parking spot on a weekend afternoon, but great activity and environment. Downside: lots of geese poop

Been going to this park for more than a few years now as I live right down the road. Pros - floating platform on Bull Sluice Lake to hang out or fish on, great play area for kids (even if I dont have any), good hiking trail with some nice views that works out to be just about a half hour to finish (perfect little workout), kayak rentals for going out on the lake & river, great people watching. Cons - gets almost too crowded on pretty weather weekends, parking in the main lot can be almost impossible (but you can always park down the hill where the dam and dog park are and walk up).

I took my inflatable kayak (Sevylor K1) for its maiden voyage here. The parking was easy to navigate and had plenty of room to get setup. The ramp to the dock was accident prone and very steep, but it does have handrails. The water was a really cloudy with soil particles, so if you watch any (river creature anything shows) you may feel uncomfortable not knowing whats underneath you. I navigated around several timbers that were just visible enough to avoid. I still recommend this location for hiking and paddleboarding, just wanted others to know what to expect.

Very well maintained park. They have huge childrens play area, big shelter with enough benches and big grills. There is small trail which goes uphill. Also you can rent Kayak and other stuff but they are bit expensive. There is fire pit where you can enjoy the sunset. Also you have easy access to water but beware there are a lot mosquitos near water. They have nice swings overlooking the water body. I recommend this place for family picnic.

Love this park! The fake grass (as my kids call it) in the playground area is soft and very clean. It is adequately shaded for hot days and it has a beautiful view of a lake. If you go, you can make a whole day out of it by packing your lunch! The pavilion is large and has plenty of tables to sit at. This park is one of our favorites around!

What an amazing park off Roswell Road tucked waaaaay behind the Steele Canyon golf course. The playground is to die for and the view of the Chattahoochee river is breathtaking! If it was not so far of a drive, I would definitely come here more often. This is a good meeting place with friends who live in the west side of Atlanta.

My family loves going to Morgan Falls Park. The playground is one of the best in the area and its a great place to put in your raft to float down the Chattahoochee in the summertime. The only area that could be improved is the road leading down to the park which is a mess. Its still a great place to visit, especially with kids.
