Murphy Candler Park is a great community park! The baseball diamonds have stadium seating, and there are soccer fields as well as a public pool. There are two Pokemon Go stood near the baseball diamonds, two more over the bridge near the clubhouse and soccer fields, and another across the road down the trails by the lake. Geese, ducks, and herons are frequently seen near the lake. That side of the park makes an excellent backdrop for family photos. The walking trails are nice and people frequently take their dogs with them (on leashes, of course).

Murphy Candler Park...?? More like Murphy Charmander Park. The park is nice has a good trail to walk as well but if you are like me and playing Pokémon Go than this is the place to go. There are Charmanders for days and other good catches as well. The people at the park were cool and got a long well. And if youre into baseball that a place for you as well. They have batting cages and Charmanders all by the cages as well. So Im trying to say its a good place for baseball but a better place for Pokémon Go.

Went here for a huge softball tournament and the parking lot was crowded but love the set up of the park, with the covered bleachers and lots of space for tents. They had Kona Ice and were selling Cheesesteaks. It was a great day. In between games the staff turns on the sprinklers to wet the fields and if your in the bleachers you get a little mist which feels amazing in the summer heat. Across from the fields is a beautiful lake that people fish on.

Its a huge park. Beautiful place to go for a mini trail or job with your pet. There were few people fishing and enjoying the sunset. One kid was feeding the ducks. I really enjoyed my evening. The only negative being I couldnt see any restrooms and the park is not well maintained but the location is good. The park has many tiny bridges which makes it interesting.

Murphy Candler, while not the biggest or grandest park in the world, is very humble and friendly. If you live in the Chamblee Dunwoody area this is a great park to visit. It is never too crowded, ducks happily squawk and walk beside you and the rivers edge. People fish throughout the day and at one time in 2016, this park was the hottest place to play Pokemon Go!

One of the nicer parks in the northern suburbs of Atlanta. Nice trails for exploring and several examples of wildlife to see. It seems to be well kept and fairly clean. Can be busy on certain days and certain times. Really wish the tennis courts were in better shape but they are free to use.

Love this park. We practically live here during youth baseball season. The lake area is good for a long walk or feeding ducks. There are also playground areas and picnic pavilions. The walking bridge just got replaced and new hardscaping at the lake edge look good.

This is a good park but the bridge is being replaced so you dont have that nice view of the lake. Still it is nice to walk the trails. Be aware of the hyper aggressive wildlife that are being fed junk food from visitors...the gander of geese are like a mean pack.

Fishing,canoeing,jogging trail,kids playground,swimming pool nearby, many pavilions available along the lake.city of brookhaven recently has started the initiative to revitalize the park, some renovation already completed baseball fields across the bridge

Small but nice and clean park. Lake is great for viewing. Theres a few PokeStops and last I was there a good spawn for Magikarp. But that may change with app updates. Also lots of parking. I havent had an issue even on days they have baseball games.

Beautiful walking trails. I dont recommend going here after a heavy rain because it is very muddy. Nice place to relax and enjoy nature. Great for fishing and cook outs. They have several picnic tables and grills.

The loop around the lake is one of my favorite dog walking trails in the area. Kept clean and frequently maintained. Trail provides lots of shade on a hot day until the end crossing the bridge back to parking.

There is a walking trail around the lake. Parking can be found on either side of the dam and by the pool. The park is large. It has an older playground. There are baseball fields for the little league team.

My wife and I wanted to go someplace where we could experience the outdoors without having to travel far. This park fit the bill. It is only a few minutes from our hotel near the Dunwoody Marta station.

A wonderful peaceful park, a great place to take a walk and enjoy nature. There were cranes flying around and ducks. Long nature trails, a playground, BBQ pits w/ benches, and fishing ground.

Very nice trail around the lake. Go there around 6.30PM in summer and you can do two rounds of the trail. Adjacent to baseball grounds.
