Notice I have rated this theater at 2 stars. Each star lost will signify a separate problem that I encountered in my 3 hour stay to see the new Lord of the Rings movie with girlfriend for her birthday. Problem number one: My military discount only applied to my ticket and not my girlfriends ticket as well. Every other theater I have ever been to has graciously accepted my military ID as a discount for all tickets that I have purchased. This should have been the case here, especially since there was only a $1 deduction, and seeing as how I was the sole purchaser of both tickets. Problem number two: While preparing to exit the theater I figured I would refill that ridiculously priced $5 icy that I payed for before watching the movie. I was quickly stopped by an unprofessional staff member and told that I was not allowed to refill my icy because that was the theaters policy, nor was I allowed to refill it at a normal drink station. Normally, I would be more accepting towards this since policy creation mainly focuses on mitigating losses, but in this case it doesnt make any sense. A large drink, which uses the same cup size and price, is allowed infinite refills. Also, an icy is more ice than anything else. What is ice? Well, its also known as Frozen Water. Sorry to hear you couldnt spare me some of that good old frozen water, Ill be sure to let the people refilling their fountain drinks know that a cup full of their coke holds less value than an icy filled with ice. Which shoe-horns right into problem number 3: Coke. How is it that you have a Coke shortage when you are right down the street from one of the largest manufacturers of Coke, also known as THE COCA COLA COMPANY. Hey, dont look so sad, Im here to pick up your slack. Ill be sure to bring my own coke, stashed away in my girlfriends purse of infinite space, next time. Maybe Ill even get fancy with it and stick it in the freezer to get that Icy effect, or maybe Ill just go pick a real icy up at a gas station (dont think I wont test the limits of the purse of infinite space, where theres a will, theres a way). For an establishment that makes most of its profit off of concessions, this was not a smart move.

Hate it, will NEVER go back.... They lost my business forever... When me and my son moved to the area, a bought an AMC Stubs Card, thinking it would be a great experience like the AMC back home. Turns out THIS AMC IS OWNED BY THE SAME COMPANY THAT OWNS THE REGAL THEATER A MILE AWAY.... This AMC never seems to have any new releases, they share new releases with the Regal theater, which means if we want to go see a new movie, at least half the time, we have to go to the Regal theater, which is a thirty year old dump with extremely poor parking........ Some of the Regals theaters are nice, some of them are claustrophobic with tiny screens. The part that makes the the ANGRIEST is that after purchasing a stubs card that I can only use half the time, I now must purchase a Regal card, because the owners chose to release a movie I want to see in a theater I would prefer to never have to go back to. I SAY NO WAY......Thats making customer pay basically the same company twice for a huge inconvenience. Ill drive an extra 5 minutes to a different theater not owned by this company, that way, Ill know that the new release I want to see will be there, and not at another theater down the street owned by the same company. I feel like the owners are taking advantage of parons that do not know they are paying the same company for two discount cards...... they should honor AMC Cards at this REGAL theater. I wont be back......

We call this IMAX, in the geek community, a LIEMAX. Yes it has the IMAX badge but it is far from the true IMAX experience. I saw Intersteller twice here. 1 normal release and 1 extended version. Both times the audience did not take the movie experience seriously. People are noisy and late. Secondly there must be a loose bracket on the back left speaker enclosure. Whenever the sound crescendos the speaker enclosure or brackets squeaks like a loud squeaky bed. It was very annoying and distracting. I even noticed the people around me wondering about that noise instead of the movie. Edit: I believe this has been fixed If its impossible to travel to Mall of Georgia for a real IMAX experience then I guess settle for this place. Edit: So since this review I have been back several times. However I have also been to many tithed theaters as well. This IMAX theater needs an over haul or something. Sub par audio and video. In addition to this the service is awful and literally every time I come here this is some kind of problem. I asked some others seated next to me if they had noticed regular problems as well and they agreed. If you dont care about quality then save the money and see a normal film. If you care and understand what it means to be IMAX pick a different theater. I believe the AMC Northpoint, Regal RPX and Carmike Big D are all much better. Much better.

I drove almost an hour for a 10 oclock showing of miss peregrine movie and it doesnt even exist!!!! I rarely get to see the friends and family I had plans with and this happens. I waited for someone at the theatre when I came to buy tickets. There wasnt a sign posted and the phones werent answered. I was left with lies and disappointment. When I finally spoke to someone, they told me it was a misprint and that they have been turning people away for over 2 hours since they closed but didnt think within those 2 hours to post a freaking sign. There wasnt a notice on the website, Facebook, Twitter, or the actual location. Obviously this company doesnt think false advertisement is a big deal and dont have any sense of urgency for fixing their own mistakes. They made a mistake by misprinting, they made a mistake for not notifying on their website or fixing said mistake, they made a mistake not posting a sign at the physical location after 2 hours of turning people away, they made a mistake by not answering their phones, and they made a mistake by ignoring the customers at the location who wanted an answer. Misprints happen but everything that followed was bad business. Go to this location at your own risk.

LIKES: THE HUGE THEATERS, LAYOUT, SEATING, & PROJECTIONS. I give kudos to the projectionist at this theater as they offer one of the best film projections in Metro Atlanta. Location of the theater is great, ample parking, great sound system and wonderful atmosphere. The best AMC i have been to. DISLIKE: $11.00 admission (after matinee as of May 2011) This theater is one of my favorites and i go this place whenever i am near Town Center or North Marietta/Kennesaw area. Since this theater is literally across the freeway from Regal Town Center, they must have a negotiation on which films they will show. They have to because if they dont AMC will run Regal out of business because it is better. I would give it five stars but since they only use 14 of their 24 screens it looses a star. I HIGHLY recommend this theater to people within the Town Center vicinity. It is busy on the weekends especially if there is a highly publicized film released (i.e. Harry Potter, Transformers, Twilight) so plan accordingly. If u so happened to be seated in one of the larger theaters, they have enough seats but if u r with a big group, that might be an issue.
