This place is ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE! They dont care about you or your day! They only care about getting your money. I went there after looking at 2 other venues with my wedding planner on Saturday and the girls name that we had an appointment with was Tiffany. She was AWFUL! It started out ok. She showed us around and began to explain a few things and as I started complimenting a few things she would exaggerate and as it turns out, when we got to the paperwork, IT WAS ALL A LIE! It even got worse when I mentioned something that I didnt like about the venue because she would argue with me and talk over me, my mother and my wedding planner. When my wedding planner and I wanted to have a private conversation, she wouldnt leave us alone. We tasted a couple of cakes that they had a available to taste that day and when I told her that I didnt like the strawberry lemonade and that I didnt want to have anymore of it, she started talking over me AGAIN. My brother is also allergic to Lemon so it wouldnt be good to have it at our wedding. We started to think about food allergies and talk amongst the group that came with me and she became even more unprofessional/unpleasant. She was pretty much saying "screw those people" but, not in that exact wording. I have a temper and when pushed (and she was pushing all 3 of us) I explode and as everything got worse with her, I asked to speak to her manager and no one went to get him for us. I felt that it was in best interest for her to get myself to step out and somehow find a spot on the courtyard to get some fresh air. My mother told her that she owed me an apology and I got nothing from her. She did finally step out when we wanted another moment because she started to see that I was P**sed off to no end and that she was about to lose a whole lot of money for her and the venue and possibly her face.. I was being loud after all of this and I know that she could here me because the walls arent exactly sound proof but, this is the only wedding that I will have for the rest of my life and every Bride deserves good service because you dont get a re-do. I also e-mailed them this morning and asked another sales person to have her manager call me and I still havent received a call from them yet. Ive been in sales for a VERY LONG TIME and never have I ever encountered, wouldve put someone through or thought about putting someone through what we experienced and went through from there especially on someones wedding day. Bottom line, if you want a beautiful venue with pleasant people that is just as passionate about your day as you are and cares about your wants and needs, listens instead of talking over you, who is willing to find a common ground to work together instead of arguing and wants to make it an unforgettable experience for you and your guests in the most positive, beautiful way possible then, DONT GO HERE! ITS NOT THE PLACE!

My beginning advice to future brides and grooms is to make sure they have backup generators for your special day and be sure the backup coordinators are very prepared and organized. The Mediterranean Villa is a very gorgeous venue. They are a one stop shop when it comes to catering, flowers, decor, ceremony/reception space and coordinators. They were very responsive and organized up until the DAY of our wedding. We had a horrible storm that came through the day before our wedding which knocked out all the electricity at the Villa. Unfortunately, we had to complete our wedding rehearsal in the dark and were racing against the sunset. I understood that Mother Nature took its course and this storm was unforeseen. The owner and my coordinator Lauren pulled me to the side at the rehearsal and stated that we might need to come up with a plan B since the estimated time for electricity to be back on wouldnt be until the next day (the day of my wedding) at 6p which was 1 hour before our ceremony. They showed us the hotel ballroom space at the Holiday Inn Hotel next door as an option, stating I would have an outdoor ceremony in the Villa courtyard and the reception at the hotel. Now we did NOT want an outdoor wedding ceremony or reception! Why isn’t this event establishment able to provide backup generators & why don’t they have any already to light up the whole Villa?! Mind you this wedding venue is not cheap at all. We have paid THOUSANDS of dollars to have our wedding at this venue and my husband and I felt they should have a backup generators in case of any electricity emergency. A storm is not the only time electricity can go out. We were happy to find out the next morning that the electricity came back on due to the local electric companies. However, once I arrived at the venue 30mins before my wedding. I found out that my coordinator was very ill and we had to use backup coordinators named Karen and Danielle. They were very nice and tried to accommodate us. They reassured me that they had all of Laurens notes. But come to find out they were not fully prepared and didnt even know my NAME. The post ceremony photos and reception felt very very rushed! I wasnt able to take all the photos I wanted to capture so that is very disappointing. The decor, food & flowers all turned out perfect though (thanks Joche/Lauren)!! All the mishaps at my wedding with the storm/unorganized backup coordination will probably not happen at your wedding, but I didnt think it would happen at mines either. Despite all the mishaps at my wedding, it was still very gorgeous!!!

My experience so far has been a very pleasant one. I have an upcoming wedding I have been planning from Virginia and Tiffany has not only been helpful but also given me honest advice being that planning wedding is her profession. She has always returned my phone calls if she was busy and never has she sounded irritated or rude during our many conversations. Though we are handling business never felt like I was just a "business transaction". I flew in for my meetings I did everything while I was town and was shown nothing but kindness. I also received an initial estimate of the cost, but having done my research and wanting things of my choice. The bride picks the type of food, cake, flowers, décor etc, etc. This is why you have the consultations to choose the things that you may want for your wedding. I loved working with Ms. Lisa(awesome!) and Joche during my appts. No hidden fees as you make different selections you know the cost . I know I wouldn’t even want to have my wedding at a place that had no options. This of course is just my experience so far pre-planning. I am so excited this place is soo beautiful. I will write another review after my wedding, and I hope I don’t have any of the snafu’s the few other brides may have experienced just thankful everything is fine so far.

Mediterranean Villa is a beautiful facility and has reasonable prices. However all costs are not disclosed in your initial consultation and are gradually introduce to you at each meeting. if you are not versed in what all you will need such as flowers, cake, decorations, up-lighting ect. also there is a fee for every time you make changes. Make sure you are sure on your number of guests otherwise your reception room you choose maybe too small and the other reception room maybe taken. THE BIGGEST COMPLAINT is our wedding was at 5:00 pm. there was another wedding at 1:00 pm before us. The chapel was not completely cleaned. Then there was another wedding at & 7:00 pm directly after us. We felt as though we were a herd of cattle being rushed, we were even asked to try to get out before our contract time of 6:30 pm. Our coordinator was sweet young lady however with so many weddings going on at the same time she was not able to assist us very much, as she had to run from wedding to wedding.
