I had a few cocktails including the brindle and the rosemary beret before switching to more trendy whiskey cocktails that I honestly cant remember the name of. They have a huge selection and I believe variety is the spice of life and dont have a go to drink. Before these things though I did have vegan beer chili. Not a vegan, but I love chili. I also had a few beers, some of which came from trappeze. Thats the only reason I give it four stars. Definitely a completely different atmosphere but the food menu is shared. With that being said, I also had a cheese plate after all that alcohol. Never can go wrong there. This was a few months ago though, after John McCants visit. I think he might be a disgruntled former server who likes burnt burgers (180 degrees! Wow!) But I dont know.

Drinks are good, but then again how do you screw up a beer? The boiled peanuts tasted like brown sugar instead of salt brine. The fries were brought out soggy & dripping in minced garlic, as cold as leftovers scraped off someones plate. The burgers were red inside, nowhere close to the minimum 185 degrees standard. The staff is friendly when they wait on you, but if you leave any personal belongings behind then dont expect to get them back; particularly the manager Danielle and iPhones.

Super classy and chill. I love the decor and the overall vibe. The bartenders are friendly and the drinks are superb. Pretty cool live shows, too. You can either sit at the bar, out in the open, or hang out in one of the more closed-off rooms with your friends. One of the best bars in Downtown Athens.

Food and drinks are okay, but they are not worth the price and DEFINITELY not worth the wait. The bartenders act like they cant be bothered, usually chatting with their friends at the end of the bar or texting on their phones instead of serving customers.

You pay a dollar and give an ID to get headphones. There is no music playing from speakers, but the headphones have 3 channels you can listen to, and they light up red green or blue for each channel. It was a lot of fun.

I love trapeze, but tend to dread coming to highwire. Usually too crowded, drinks take a long time, are expensive, or get lost before they reach you. Easy to get ignored or have a long wait at the bar.

Drinks are really pricey and the wait is terrible, but the real reason to go to Highwire is for the Silent Disco on Thursday and Saturday nights.

Good craft beer, but it was pretty dead when I was there. Service was fast and friendly, though.
