Hi-Lo has a fantastic selection of vegan bar food, including a tofurkey club sandwich (my personal favorite), vegan corn dogs, and a mushroom poboy. They also have a fantastic selection of beers, with new beers all the time and a lot of them brewed in Georgia. Its got a great, mellow ambience earlier in the evening but it does tend to get pretty loud and crowded during dinnertime, and seating can sometimes be hard to snag.

Every experience Ive had at Hi-Lo Bar and Lounge has been unique and delightful. The best Sunday treat in Athens is their brunch, currently vibed by Athens best, DJ Mahogany. I recommend the oyster poboy and goddess salad! Also, Hi-Lo has hosted events for A New Hope Animal Sanctuary, with the late Max Baird, may she rest in peace.
