Overall the casino was very nice. They had free parking. The front security was friendly and helpful, but the guard by the restaurant was not (the parking garage entrance was into the corner of the restaurant area so he would ID you even if you walked in to check the buffet line size 5ft front him). This is a smoking casino and has a non smoking area. The non smoking area barely has any games or card tables almost as if youre punished for not wanting to smell like cigars. We ended up just playing in the main area bc the non smoking area was so crappy. The facility was clean and they serve free drinks while you are at the machines. Some of the waitresses were slow regardless how well you tipped others came around to check on you more. The buffet was good. They have anything from Chinese to Mediterranean. It stays very busy in the buffet area. The server was friendly and attentive. Overall Id give it a solid 4stars and would return or recommend it to friends. My only negative was the smoking and the machines had volume buttons that were way too loud. In certain areas it was so loud it almost would give you headache and if someone was playing next to you with their machine on high volume it would basically drive you away. Its about 10mins from Niagara Falls. Tip: If youre a firsttimer get a play card and youll receive free buffet passes (27$ value) and 10$ in free playing.

The hotel gets four stars and the casino gets two stars, averaging to a three star rating. The hotel is actually very good, especially for its size. Situated right next to Niagara falls and Canada, the view from a lot of the rooms is really very good, even in the gloom of Western NY. Ive stayed here a few times, and the rooms have always been well kept and very comfortable. They are modern and well-appointed, especially for the price one would pay midweek or in the off season. Rooms do get quite expensive around major events like NYE, but that is to be expected. Room service is prompt and courteous, and all requests Ive ever made have been handled very well. Definitely a four star experience all around. The casino on the other hand is lacking in many different ways. The bar tenders and other wait staff are often scarce or absent altogether, so getting a drink can sometimes be a chore; which is not acceptable in my opinion when burning money at a casino. They arent exactly under staffed, but they do always seem to be minimally staffed if that makes sense. Every time Ive been here there are always people complaining about never getting service. No bueno. Ninja edit: The Wi-Fi is really good at this hotel. Strong signal throughout and good speeds both down & up. For a place this big and hotels in general, I am incredibly impressed.

Mixed review. Room was spacious however the air conditioning only worked well at night. Casino was HORRIBLE due to smoking!!! The small "non-smoking" section should have been the smoking section. We could not believe they even allowed smoking in the restaurant. We had to walk pass all these dinosaurs who were smoking like chimney just to get to our seats. The buffet..ok no other words..SUCKED!!! For the price $22.00 per person I have eaten better at golden corral with more of a selection. Free valet parking was very nice which is why I gave 3 stars instead of 2. The "resort fee of $20 per night " and now I see it is $30.00 that no one really told me about really pissed me off. When checking out the lady behind the deck really had the nerve to tell me, "it was in the fine print." Those were really her words to me. When waiting to speak with the manager she just ignored me typing on her computer until I finally asked if I could have a word. She told me to hold on then passed me off to another person. WOULD ABSOLUTELY NOT STAY HERE AGAIN! Yes it is close to the Falls in walking distance but overall no worth it. Just my opinion.

Family was visiting Niagara Falls from out of town and wanted to try the Thunder Falls Buffet here since it was crab night Dinner is normally $29, on Tuesdays it is $31 because of the crab legs. Mondays and Fridays also have special pricing. If you have a Seneca Casino members card, you + 1 guest can get $2 off the buffet. The seating space itself isnt the largest, but is very wide and open. They have different types of cuisines along the outer border. I tried a bit of the things here and there and for the most part they were pretty good. The bbq chicken was very dry and tasted weird so I would definitely avoid that in the future. The Asian foods were pretty delicious, cant really go wrong with that. The best though was the crab legs. When you go to the buffet, they serve you 2 sets of crab legs at a time. They also have clarified butter and corn on the cob if you want as well. The crab was very sweet and fresh. I definitely pigged out on crab that night and dont regret a bit of it. The only reason I would come back in the future would be the crab legs.!

I will give this place 1 star because the rooms and casino are beautiful, BUT and its a pretty big BUT, my husband and I booked and stayed the weekend of our 25th anniversary and as a surprise our children called way in advance, filled out the appropriate paperwork, and paid for the bill. They requested we be notified when we got there and thought it would be a nice surprise. NOTHING. When I say nothing, no phone call, no note in the room, nothing said when we checked in or out. All this time our children are waiting for an acknowledgement. After leaving and finding this out, we called the casino to find out what happened. Instead of apologizing, they made all kinds of excuses and everyone we spoke to had an attitude. Whatever happened to customer service? Whats past is past, but our children are pretty upset as are we. That special surprise was taken away from us. They also allow smoking "everywhere", restaurants, hallways, elevators, etc., which we had to put up with. I would not recommend staying there at all, especially for a special occasion.

This place is a joke compared to other casinos, I mean its nothing compared to Vegas obviously. But you can go to Presque Isle or any other casino outside of New York State a couple hours away and get $50 and free play per week. Sometimes $100 free play per week just for gambling a little bit. Here you get one point after $160 in play. Its a joke. You can lose 10 or $15,000 in a year here and not get any perks. Like not even a free room. Maybe a couple of free buffets which suck anyway. They messed up mine and my fathers Seneca cards because we have the same name. When there was a difference of 200 something points their solution was for us to change our codes and I dont think we even got a sorry. So for all the points we didnt earn any money we did spend we didnt even get a free free buffet out of that! If youre looking for perks dont go to this casino. If youre looking to win a little at slots... Or not get raped at the blackjack tables because of their awesome automatic shufflers go anywhere else but here!
