We visited the park this past Friday , We are locals but we usually go to the waterparks in Orlando. The parks in Orlando are so much better , more modern and with much better rides. We wanted to give another chance to Adventure island. Our party had 3 teenagers 2 adults. the day was gorgeous so no rides closures due to inclement weather. We will never be back for all the following reasons : - the park looks old and is in desperate need of new rides and improvements - some slides were closed , and from what we heard have been for a few months ( slides hurting people but nothing is done to change them) - only one slide is worth the visit : Colossal curl, thats about it - they charge you the same price as aquatica,! in fact it is even for more expensive for us , as Seaworld AP we get tickets at 50% discount for our friends at aquatica and all other parks , they wont honor it at adventure island and will just give you 10 $ off per guest ticket..... It is twice as expensive for us to visit adventure island comparing to aquatica, for nothing.... - the lines for food are crazy, the food is not edible - the ticket lines at the entrance of the parks are crazy, just one self pay machine, and two employees working at the windows, ....... and when you need tickets for your friends at the discount rate you cannot print them at home anymore or at the self servie station. - the pavement way too hot - quick queues : in fact we came for this new addition, because we do not like to queue in the summer when crowds are heavy and we were thrilled to see that adventure island finally has them as aquatica: what a waste of money, somes slides do not accept the system , 3 slides make you join the regular queues almost at the start of the line, at one slide we were told the queue queue was closed, it was effective in like 3 slides. waouh We were really shocked at how bad this park is , considering how good bush gardens is . A ripe off , not worth the money, it is more expensive that a day at universal brand new waterpark Im a passholder, but I will not use my ticket anymore and never buy another one.My friends are not coming back either. What a shame

Ansonsten ist so alles verboten, was Spaß macht. Also niemand auf den Schultern nehmen... Wir hatten einen Kombipass. Sonst hätten wir den Eintritt sicher nicht dafür gezahlt.

I recently went to this park and I did enjoy it but I would say it was just average and that is why I gave it just three stars. It had a lot of fun rides and the day we went the lines werent horrible. I suggest going early in the day because as the day goes on, as expected, it gets more busy and lines get longer. I liked that they did allow a small cooler with drinks in it. So we brought water and gator-aid to keep hydrated. Things you might need more money for: - $15 for parking - $15 for large locker (forgot small locker price) The large locker easily held 2 small bags, 1 small cooler that had 6 waters in it, sunglasses and 3 pairs of flip flops. - Extra money for food/drinks Here are the things I didnt like and part of why it gets a lower star rating... the wave pool was pretty lame. It was hardly even a wave! It was really hard, almost impossible to get a tube on the lazy river since you have to wait for one to open up. When I was on the lazy river I got a bloody nose. We asked the lifegaurd if we could get some gauze to hold to my nose until we got to an entrance and could get out of the river and he said he couldnt treat me and giving me gauze was treating me. So I guess they would have rather I just bleed in the river? Not cool! I made sure to keep my it contained in my hands though but not everyone would have done so. That makes me a little grossed out to think what else I could be swimming in!

Do some online digging, the annual passes comes with useful perks for parking and discounted preferred parking. If youre planning on going early, opt in for the meal deal; their portions are big enough for two on the adult side while the kids side seems better fitted for kids under 10yrs old. We used the annual pass for a free ticket because of birthday perks. *Update: Used this free ticket perk again in August at SeaWorld and got free parking there too, worth the money when compared to the likes of Disney. The meal plan also got us free water which we used wisely on multiple stops....At $5/water bottle, we got 3 plans and had almost 12 waters on a very humid day, saved $60 on water alone + $10 on parking and $79 ticket = $149 in savings on one day. WORTH THE MONEY You can easily spend the better part of your day here without lamenting about the other parks in central Florida. There are plenty of slides and play areas suitable for most ages. Little ones arent the primary target audience here, were talking under 5yr crowd here, if this applies to you then know your day will be a short one as youll be confined to limited activities. Wouldve been 5 stars on the day of our visit, but the water wasnt heated on a day where it was very chilly. EVERYONE was complaining about the water temperature to the staff and just getting a sorry that the heater wasnt working.

We are year pass members. Black mold and trash in the bathroom showers. Bathroom floors are disgusting and you would be lucky to find a toilet not filled with feces! Staff is sooo rude and cocky!! Yelling at customers on their megaphones having attitudes with people for no reason. It says you cant wear thong baithing sutes but you will see plenty of teens and adults running around in thong baithing sutes .. Watch your things cus someone stole my boyfriends sandals when we were in the kids water park and his sun glasses another day. And yes rides will take 20-50 minutes i got off a few because i had to wait 45 minutes (they have markers that tell you how long you will wait according to where you are at in line) Most of the rides you have to be with 2-4 people so if you want to go on a ride alone .. go on the few available for 1 person. In the childrens play area (the one with the blow up tubes for the kids) forget about getting a tube for your kid to play on, youl see parents sitting holding on to tubes while their kids swim. (Happens every time i go!) People are careless, rude, and inconsiderate!! I dont like going there at all i dread it! But my boyfriend loves it -go figure- I dont recommended it. Go to busch gardens the staff there are amazing and cheery and its clean and super fun!
