I had been coming to this store since it was owned by the original owner. Previously there was always knowledgeable staff available and a high level of organization with respect to pricing, species etc. Since new ownership took over there has been a steady and unfortunate downturn in both service, quality and staffing. It seems the last three times Ive gone, the staff has been comprised of young and completely unaware kids that have been incapable of answering any but the simplest questions and barely. On my last visit there was a dirty aquarium smell in the store, the coral selection was poor and at best rudimentary. There were barely any prices set on the displays and when asked, the staff answered with the typical " I dont know... let me find out." that was accompanied by a several minute wait for another equally inexperienced kid to state that the coral I was inquiring about was not for sale. Their fish selection was pretty extensive this visit but there were several displays where fish had nipped fins and looked quite stressed. It is a shame that the present ownership has allowed a once fine establishment to join the ranks of the hobbyist turned owner failures in Orlando and its surrounding areas. I will save myself the time and effort and avoid ever patronizing this emerging failure again in the future. I hope that for the sake of the animals they peddle that they pick up their game and improve to what they once were. Doubtful.

Today was my 3rd time in the store. 1st time it was packed and because the aisles are so narrow we left. Went back for a 2nd time and got an awesome deal on Fathers Day on a torch coral. Coral is great, best coral we have and thriving. This is why Im giving this review 2 stars. 3rd visit, what a joke. We bought 4 hermit crabs but when we got home we had 3 empty shells, only one live crab lol. And its not even the one we asked for! As Im standing there 2 employees are getting a flame angel out for a customer. Customer was not there. One of the employees dropped the fish on the floor. Fish flat on their dirty floor. He picked it up and put it in the bag. The floor never got wiped up, it was full of water in front of the tank and another spot. My daughter actually slipped in one spot. The guy who dropped the fish was new and standing there just staring into space. Didnt clean up, nothing. Too many other quality fish stores in the area to bother with this one again.

Living Reef Orlando is the best saltwater aquarium store in Central Florida. The staff are experts in corals, coral care, and tank maintenance. The staff are also teachers. They will patiently answer all your questions, walk and talk you through your concerns/questions, and they will not rush you out of the store. Sean, especially, has taken a personal interest in making sure my aquarium is healthy and sustainable. Every time Im in the store, Sean remembers our last conversation and he will ask me specific questions about my tank. If you are looking for a coral reef store that takes time to personally get to know their customers, then look no further. Living Reef Orlando is the place to be.

I have been to all of the local aquarium stores in Orlando, and not a single store compares to Living Reef Orlando. Their entire staff, especially Danny and Shaun, have always been welcoming and eager to answer any of my questions. They all understand the value of customer service. The store is always spotless and well organized. They are constantly cleaning their tanks throughout the week to make sure that they have a wide selection of corals and fish, and are always improving their variety. There is no question that Living Reef Orlando should be your go to aquarium store. Protip: Take a second to look at their front frag tank. You would be surprised at the corals they place there for cheap!

I cannot begin to thank the staff enough at Living Reef Orlando for the special attention they paid to me in my time of need in overcoming my intimidation of taking over the responsibility of the 500 gallon aquarium after the passing of my husband. They took over all the maintenance/cleaning and trouble shooting of the tank and made ongoing recommendations for how to manage it in the future. They definitely went over and beyond my expectations. They were friendly, knowledgable, responsive, timely and patient. I highly recommend Living Reef Orlando for all your aquarium needs. I would be comfortable just stopping in with any questions you may have. I have made a friend for life.

I called today to speak with a knowledgeable staff and was greeted with a gentleman named Sean or Shawn, and I asked him about my RO di water why it was going bad I told him that the TDS meter out of my RO di membrane was reading 0 parts per million and I checked it with a TDS meter and it was Runnin 80 parts per million after letting it sit in my ato for about a week and I asked him why I was getting this reading and he said I dont know and then I asked is there anyone who might know he said no. Not a good way to do business I would say. Might want to change his job if he doesnt give 2 shakes! I have been here before and had good help but this guy needs help.

I found out about living reef through a youtube video and went to go check it out. It is the cleanest, most organized store that I have ever walked into. I purchased one of the tanks and when I went to go pick it up, there was no way to fit it into my car. They actually went ahead and personally delivered it to my house! I even received a gift from Pancho at the time of pick up, what a surprise! If you want great service, and awesome quality and selection definitely stop by here. Everyone working at the store was on top of things, very attentive to every customer in there, and the livestock all at the same time.

Living Reef in Orlando is simply the BEST of its kind in Central Florida. The customer service is outstanding; the staff is extremely knowledgeable and always willing to provide assistance. They go above and beyond to deliver outstanding customer service, they loaded my car with water in the rain. They also have a rolling cart to transport larger purchases from the store to your car. I have always been satisfied with my purchases and the water parameters are always on point. I recommend Living Reef and suggest you go by and see for yourself what a great place to shop to fulfill your aquatic needs .

I travel all over Central Florida visiting marine aquarium stores. For whatever reason, I finally made a stop in Living Reef, it was a great store. They had lots of inventory for fish, corals and supplies. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful, I felt like they were helping me make good decisions rather than just selling me what I thought I wanted. They had really good deals on some items, while others were comparable with other local stores. They also have some livestock that the other stores do not, which makes it worth the trip. They have everything you need.

The Living Reef staff are great, and the store always have a good stock of fish and other aquarium necessities. Weve been going to them since we started our tank up about a year ago, and theyve been so helpful with every step and bump along the way. Im glad Shaun introduced us to the idea of saltwater instead of freshwater, and showed us how possible it really was to set this up. Shaun and Dylan are our go to people for all saltwater questions and troubleshooting! Couldnt have done this without them! Thanks Living Reef! -Alyssa & Will
