I have to update my experience with Live Tanks. In the beginning, Mark at Live Tanks was very helpful and assisted me with picking out a tank and necessary filtration, base live rock, etc. and helped me get the tank set up. I also hired Mark to perform maintenance services on my tank bi-weekly, and we set up a schedule for this service. After a few weeks, Mark began to message me, typically at the last minute stating that he couldnt make it for one reason or another. He also became quite rude when Id ask him when he would be coming out to perform the services which were already days overdue and my tank was usually running extremely low on water by then. The final experience with Mark and Live Tanks was Mark didnt show up at all for our regularly scheduled maintenance visit, nor did he bother to contact me at all. I sent him a message asking him when he was coming by. When he finally responded days later, he was rude in his response, stating that he had 47 messages along with mine and that he had made me a good deal on my tank and that he expected me to be buying my fish and other live stock through him. He went further to say that he wasnt happy with where my tank was going and asked if I wanted to terminate my maintenance, which I said at the time I did not, but I never heard from him again (and at this time its been several days). First of all, the fact that he had 47 messages was no excuse for totally skipping our scheduled maintenance appointment and not even bothering to contact me. Additionally, the aquarium is mine to do with as I wish, he was hired on to do the maintenance on the tank. If I want to purchase from someone else because they happen to have the stuff in stock that Im looking for, thats my business. That message was the last message I received from Mark. No apology for missing the appointment, no nothing. So I have since moved on to another company in town who has EXCELLENT customer service. Bottom line, I would not recommend Mark or Live Tanks to anyone. He might have quality products, but dont expect good customer service unless youre constantly pumping more money to his company and he can control all aspects of your tank. Mark needs to learn how to treat his customers, because without them, Live Tanks wouldnt exist. I kept our conversations and archived them for future reference. There are several other people in town who do tank maintenance and sell live stock that Id recommend before Id ever recommend Mark and Live Tanks.

Live Tanks has been such a great resource for me while starting up my first saltwater tank. They have really taken the time to answer all of my endless questions, including debunking a lot of the myths that I have read about online. Their customer service is fantastic. They have helped me out with each purchase and have been completely honest about whether they think something will work in my tank or not. I truly believe that they care about their customers and want the best for our tanks. After visiting quite a few other area stores, I also feel like they have the cleanest store and the healthiest stock. They have been the main source of all of the stock in my tank and every fish I get from them is healthy and vibrant and eating like a champ. They are also the reason that I have felt confident enough to add corals to my tank. They let me know right away if a coral needs a more established tank or is a more difficult coral to keep. I have a thriving tank and I owe it all to them. I highly recommend this place to anyone in Brevard County, or even anyone just passing through the county, as they are right off of I-95. This is a great aquarium store! December 2013 Update: I wanted to update my review based on the fantastic customer service that I received this week. We woke up early Christmas Eve morning to the smell of something burning. My 125 gallon aquarium had water pouring out of a bottom seam and into the electrical work causing the smell. I started to drain the tank and remove the livestock. I was completely overwhelmed and unsure as to what to do. I decided to contact Live Tanks around 7:30 am to see if they had an available tank and to ask for their suggestions on next steps. Within two hours, Mark and his team arrived at my house, even though I hadnt purchased the failing tank from them. They helped me finish draining the old tank and swapped out all of the plumbing to a new tank. They then filled the new tank and transferred all of the rock and livestock. They had the new tank up and running by lunch time and all of the fish survived the traumatic morning. As far as I am concerned, they saved our beloved pets and our Christmas, as I was able to spend it with my family and not stressing about what to do with the fish. I cant thank them enough for their help during a stressful situation. Their customer service is top notch!

Where do I start? I began my journey looking for a place I could trust to support me through this new adventure and hobby. Upon searching numerous local places I decided to buy some live rock, water and try my luck on my first saltwater tank. John was there guiding me through everything and has shown a ton of patience with me and some of my unique questions. If I wanted something, and I mean anything they can get it for me sooner than I can save the money for it. I have learned a lot from Live Tanks and I no longer consider it a store to buy my livestock from but rather an extended family. I know the staff and can text them on a regular basis. They go out of their way to open their store to help me out no matter what time of day it is. They actual care about their customers and will refuse to sell you something if they know its not right for you or if some of their livestock may need further treatment. They have went out on a limb and purchased something just for me knowing that they may lose money since its not a popular product with most hobbyist. However, now they are the only place in the area to carry such a rare food and will have the ability to offer it at a fraction of what it would cost to purchase on your own. Live Tanks has a water program for locals that has been said by their rivals to be unbeatable. I get the salinity I want every time and I dont have to worry about checking it once let alone twice to make sure its what I need! I have new friends that share a common goal and that is worth more than anything in my opinion! You will not be disappointed with them ,and if you arent pleased there is a good chance they will make it right for you.

Mark at Live Tanks is the only guy I go to when I need something aquarium related. I live a little far away but every visit is worth the drive. From setting up a brand new tank to getting a custom sump, Live Tanks can do it all. Mark has been a huge help to me setting up my new tank, from drilling 5 large holes in 3/4" glass to making me a custom sump because my stand is too low. Even if you dont need anything I still recommend going to see them, they have a beautiful unique waterfall coral display tank and their fish and coral always look good and is reasonably priced. The only fish store in the area I trust!
