While i enjoy playing poker and go to the poker room at least 2-3 x month... this poker room def caters to regular locals and does not care about non-locals. Someone was running their mouth and cussing all the time, the last time i went. I asked the person to chill. The person went off on me. I was minding my own business and just there to play cards. Well, i was asked to leave the poker room! The other person (the one who was causing all the trouble) stayed without issue... all because they are a regular! While most dealers are nice... if you have to deal with management or a pit boss or heaven forbid you have to deal with one of the police officers in the poker room, they are far from nice! When i asked why i had to leave and not the other person... the cop got real nasty and biligerent! Yikes! Nice customer service. That same day, they were doing some drawings for a chance to spin a wheel for prizes. Supposedly random. But it is rigged! They can tell exactly who is sitting where and what table, based on the players card entry at the table. Every single person chosen for the drawings were all regulars. People who play there 5 days per week! The whole table was talking about it... how obvious it was that they cater to regulars and just dont give a crap about others. Great for business... but poor customer service attitude at this place for sure. If you play poker and have a poker room closer to you - go there! This place really isnt that good at all, especially if you are on vacation or visiting.

My 1st time visit was going well. Yes I lost $100 or so learning how to bet on dogs. But the girls I was placing bets with were very friendly. Then, the track closed so I went to the poker room where I was being entertained while I lost some more money but the dealer and customers were nice. So, I went to buy my 3rd beer where I was 2nd in line and made a friendless comment to a old ugly lady that was getting a drink. While making this comment I tapped her on the side to get her attention. She was very rude and said, "dont touch me". So I said ok and thought she must be having a really bad day. Then I saw her sent down as a banker at 1 of the tables. I looked at her and she gave me an evil eye. So I did what any guy would do at this point, I flipped her a bird. She deserved it. So she calls a Manager and the manager came over and asked me what happened. So I told him. He thru me out of the place. 1st place I have ever been thrown out of in my life. WOW. If I was running that place, I would have reviewed the video of what happened and kicked out the banker; she is chasing off all the good customers. But thats just me; what do I know? I gues my MBA stands for something else.

Great facility. Non smoking throughout. Despite the poor management, this is a pretty good place to have some fun. If they ever get competant managment in there, it could be really nice. The dealers, brushes, and wait staff, are really pleasant in spite of the poor scheduling and lack of benifits they get. You have to pay for all drinks including sodas and coffee even while playing, and their loyalty point system is a joke. You accumulate either 20 or 40 cents per hour in loyalty points depending on the game you are playing, so you have to play for several hours, before earning even a free soda. They have a lot of tables and stay fairly busy in spite of the poor rewards system. Their tournaments have improved recently with better structures than in the past. They have some decent high hand promotions, bad beat jackpots etc. The food is pretty decent, and the live racing and simulcast area are clean and pretty nice. Children are welcome to watch the races, but are not allowed in the poker room. Its a nice place to play with the potential to be a really great place.

If your going to player poker!! Save your money This place is a complete rip off, nothing but a bunch of old guys doing everything but play poker their heads are in the clouds. If there is good players you will never know, every table goes exactly one way! And the dealers there are brain dead when it come to dealing, shuffling makes you want to scream at the top of your lungs "PLEASE DEAL RIGHT". They have this bonus every 40 minutes where high card wins, but its pre selected trust me!! The person that wins it they know is going to do nothing but spend it right back with them, making it look like (YOU CAN WIN TOO) Im not a bitter person nor a sore looser! Loosing comes with the game, but this place will suck you dry before you order your 1st drink! I been there a total of 4 times recently moving to Daytona from Illinois tonite was my last and final night I asked the worker at the front to to throw away my players card please he looked at me in shock!!! I guess il be traveling to Tampa for now on!!

what application to deal for the poker room I. the poker room manager was very arrogant and obnoxious towards me when I explain my experience as a dealer he told me he only hires experienced dealers yet I know several people that work and do not have poker room that have lot less experience than I do he continued to berate me over the phone and told me I had no experience at all whatsoever and I had no business applying for a job so therefore I am never ever stepping foot in their Poker Room Id rather go play in another place rather than be treated like a total jerk. Asking for was a simple addition to show him what I can do and he couldnt understand that I have the experience to do so thank God I didnt drive all the way up there to be generated in person I will never ever play in a poker room ever there are so many better places to play

this review is not to bash the Daytona Poker Room as it is a fine establishment with friendly staff and fun atmosphere. Their burger from the bar is so damn good it should be served in a five star burger joint. It is to suggest one improvement that would make every experience a 5 star one. That suggestion : FIRE OR RETRAIN KENWOOD THE DEALER. He is as incompetent as you can get when it comes to poker dealers. If he comes to my table at cash games, I simply get up. However in tournament settings, I am simply stuck. His attention to detail is nonexistent. He cannot properly seperate pots without taking ten minutes to recount which has lead to numerous errors time and time again. Not to mention, it slows down the entire game. He is not efficient and to say it bluntly: lazy. Please consider retraining Kenwood or letting him go completely.

Ive played at Melbourne Dog Track, Tampa HR, Ft Lauder HR, and the Isle. So five rooms here in FL. ATM I like this one the most, with the Hollywood Hardrock as a close contender. Daytonas pros: 1) focus on poker(few table games or house games) 2) professional staff 3) Cleanliness: no cig smoke, beautiful room, bathrooms by the tournament tables are superb. 4) Relatively serene for a poker room, .e.g compared to the chaos that is the HR in tampa. 5) auto shuffler 6) plenty of 2/5 action 7) ridiculous prizes, no bad beat so the high hands pay very well, like $800 every half on saturday for example. 8) I even like the races on the weekends, brings in good crowd, and its fun to check out the crowd and the dogs between rounds of poker. Daytonas cons: 1) essentially no comps All in all, 5 out 5.
