Went in to the Prospector Theater last night with my husband for date night and we were unfortunately sold 2 tickets (paid $24) for a "sold out" show of The Girl on the Train. When we asked the manager/supervisor on duty there why did they sell us tickets without informing us that it was, in fact, a "sold out" show and not letting us know beforehand there were not 2 seats together for us to sit and enjoy the movie, we were told that we were not allowed to get our money back from the purchase of the "sold out" show and that this was the policy of the theater. We have lived in Ridgefield for almost 11 years and this was our 1st and unfortunately/sadly enough our last visit to the Theater. Very disappointed- when we asked if we could use the tickets that we already purchased for the next 10:00pm showing of the movie this evening, we were told that management/owner does not allow that and we would need to buy tickets all over again in order to see the later show. I rated this particular experience as "poor" as it was not a good one but I am hoping that the owner reaches out to me to makes this right. I support the Theaters mission wholeheartedly and tonight I was very excited to go to the theater for the 1st time, but honestly now I have a bad taste in my mouth from the whole experience this evening. Big disappointment all around. :(

Heard a lot of good things about this new theater and finally I took my wife out for a date last night to see Brad Pitts Allied. The theater is well done. Spacious, clean and aesthetically pleasing. The staff are friendly and helpful. And you cant beat half price senior day for all shows all day. I think it is a very admirable mission of the owner who spent a fortune for the community and to benefit the young people with handicap. Parking during the day could be a problem. But for the evening show, the library is close and there was plenty of spaces.

Very impressed. I didnt even know there was a movie theater in Ridgefield until today. Its a very clean, modern looking space with a friendly vibe to it. Staff was excellent! I checked out their website later, and found that its actually a nonprofit organization that provides employment for the disabled. Cant think of a better place to spend my money and see a movie. Parking is limited but there is a large lot just across the street with plenty of free parking. Will definitely come back and hopefully come early enough to try the cafe or restaurant.

This is a great little movie theater supporting a great cause. If you know anyone who hasnt gone to see a movie because they are averse to crowds, this is the place to take them. The viewing rooms have seating to accommodate wheelchairs and seating spaced further apart for people who feel uncomfortable sitting too close together. They have ample parking and their lobby is spacious. This theater hires and supports people with disabilities and the founder designed the space to accommodate them. Everybody wins.

Movies listed online incorrectly. It says it has movie times that they dont have. Drove all the way there to discover they have "no control over third party source listing movie times." Dumbest thing Ive ever heard. Get your stuff together prospector or you will lose my money. Not wasting my time anymore. Third attempt and still unable to attend a movie here due to lack of information online. Dont go here not worth it

beautiful, well designed theatre with first run movies and special screenings of classic and cult films. the staff are attentive and welcoming, a welcome change from more commercial theatres. for the adults, they offer beer, wine, coffee, and tea in addition to their regular movie theatre snacks. they have theatre rooms of varying size and offer lowered volume screenings for individuals with sensory concerns.

Easily the greatest theater ever. If you are lucky, the movie you are watching is getting played in Theater 3, where they switch out beanbags or recliners as the seats for the front two rows. Also, it employs many people with special needs, who would otherwise go jobless. They have an amazing cafe, and the Star Bar, and for both you can bring your food into the movie. There are no downsides to this theater.

This is a special place run by wonderful people. I bring my son who is autistic here because they have sensory showings here for kids who can be overwhelmed by loud sounds and the lights arent dimmed too low. Theyre mission for providing employment for people with special needs is a noble cause. Spend your money here. Its a good cause and youll enjoy the movie going experience here as well.

Great movie experience! I live previously in Cherry Hill, NJ and we had the "RITZ" theater, an 8 theater with high end seats, coffee and pastries. It was eventually sold to a chain theater group and the quality suffered. Prospected theater far surpasses the Ritz in its hay day. I also like the fact that they support mentally challenged employees. I go at least 3x per month.

I hate going to the movies, but I love going to this particular theater. It has a "family feel" to it. Cozy and beautiful. I love the staff. They have the biggest heart. They are so friendly. They always make me feel welcome. Beautiful theater. If they have the movie I want to watch, I certainly choose this theater over Loews Danbury.

Easily the best theatre in the tri state area. Great bar, coffee bar, great food and making a difference in peoples lives here in Ct. Much better to patronize this gorgeous facility than Lowes in Danbury. Once you go here you wont want to go anywhere else. State of the art sound and bisuals as well. Comfy seats too

So happy and proud to have this great theater in our town.Too bad it doesnt have a perfect 5 star rating due to people who cant navigate the web and others who show up late to a sold out show and couldnt sit together.

Love this place. A little more expensive then other theaters in the area but totally worth it: clean, great staff, good cause and lunch chairs with stars in the ceiling!!! Come on son...

Great place and mission of the organization is easy to support. My only complaint is that there are more instancevof people talking during movies than I have had in any other theater.

Go here! The mission of the theater makes this the only place I want to see movies. Oh, and theres a full bar, and beanbag chairs in the theaters!

Amazing place - great for the whole family (or just adults). Only Drawback - parking because the place is always packed because it is so awesome!
