I attempted to write a comment to the Stanley Golf Web Site Comment Section and I got an INVALID Site Response... DO THEY CARE?? My notes are from the last 2 times we golfed. 1st time, I was greeted with a quote of "we dont give rain checks" because there was a mist in the air. I NEVER asked about a rain check...how about saying Hello and we welcome our customers. During the play, a ranger asked "for my paper work", "how did you get a cart" "what is taking so long"? We had a group in front of us that was slow and on the tee box. The Concern was the people that take care of the carts might have to stay until we finished. What about "thanks" for spending your hard earned money and I hope you enjoy your play. Yesterday, they had a greens keeper applying an application on the green as we attempted to hit on it. We got a waive on how ever his maintenance vehicle was "directly" in front of us. We needed to keep the ball low and would have hit his vehicle. On the next hole we were putting and he was spraying the green as we attempted to finish. I have been playing this course for over 30 years. Today, I see a group that is Money Driven and really is not Focused on the Customer Experience.

Lit driving range used to be open till 9. Which they were incapable of doing since it always seemed to close at 8ish. Luckily they updated their hours to reflect the 8pm close. Sadly that now means it closes around 730. The rest of the course isnt bad. Its just a public course that theyll get on your ass for like youre playing bethpage black if you show up less than 25 minutes before your tee time. Much less as a single. But whatever, its golf and I get it.

The starter is friendly and let us get out on whichever 9 we preferred. Conditions are below average of the courses Ive played so far this year. Pace of play was slow even though the course wasnt very busy. I usually only play here if I get a very good deal through a tee time website and if Im in the area. Then driving range is small and well kept. There are two practice greens, one with a bunker and pitching area.

Have played this course about 100 times plus a year. Started playing this course in the early sixties and kept up my season pass until last year. Because I moved out of New Britain and thirty miles away. I will be driving the thirty miles everyday next year to play again. Tried other courses but for the money this is still the best. Plus you get three nines to choose from.

Employees here are absolutely wonderful. Great friendly people that are apparently very happy in their jobs. Course is well cared for and speed of play is hard to match. Didnt see a marshall, but unlike most courses there was no delays whatsoever. Very nice course and very reasonable prices. Strongly recommend.

The Starter is very accommodating on a busy day. Course maintained well. No problems if you want to play through or let others. Nice variety of holes and courses. Always a good time and a great 19th hole!

White course plays more like target golf, new red course is on the shorter side with some unique and Beautiful holes. Tee boxes can get a little beat up, but fairways and greens are in great shape.

Course is in great shape, greens on the fast side, and pretty consistent through the course. For the cost, its an excellent place to play. Berverage cart always around as well.

A very nice municipal golf course. 27 holes with some holes that were recently added/redone. Wonderful restaurant and bar that was just recently renovated.
