The theatre itself and the management are fantastic. However, I must warn everyone that every once in a while a veritable deluge of old rich white people will descend from their ivory tower and slum it in this theatre. Because these people dont mingle with "common folk" they dont understand our ways. This means that they will talk all through the film and their phones will go off every ten minutes. Also, they are not stingy with the dirty looks that they give to the rabble that dare to sit as close as four seats away (the nerve). Again, love the theatre and love the people who work there.

The four screen Riverwalk Theatre doesnt feature cutting edge surround sound or offer up plush stadium seating like a mega-cinema (AMC/Regal) does. But, its a solid cinema for locals and tired skiers alike due to its charming atmosphere, quality film selection and non-blurry projection. Tickets are $8 for matinees and $10 for regular 2D showtimes. Theres a surcharge for 3D, though I dont recall how much more it costs.

An excellent, authentic, home town theater with a classic 20th century American look combined with top of the line projectors and sound. Affordable movie tickets and a genuine setting. Matinee schedule for those looking for a quieter experience. Reminds me a lot of my hometown theater in Farmington, Maine (the Narrow Gauge).

I worked here when I was younger. It is unfortunate that it is getting so old. Maybe one day they will change it into a movie theater that plays classics or Warren Miller films. Maybe some indie films that rarely make it big. Or a theater that shows controversial documentaries or something. Just brainstorming.

Prices are too high for the lack of upgrades and style of theater. Also, as much as they charge for a discount theater venue they should accept cards by now. People are always talking during the movies and no staff checks on the theater to stop this.

Its an older theatre, but relatively comfortable and clean and very rarely crowded. Without the glamour Its much cheaper than CineBistro in Vail. They only take cash.
