I used to very much enjoy this theater. It was close by, clean, nice, and fun to go to. After my experience tonight, I have no plans to ever return. I tried getting which I had bought online from the counter, but since I did not have my ID to prove my obvious age, I had to wait 30 minutes just for that. When I finally got the ticket, I got in line for my show before the theater doors opened since that is what I was told to do. I was there for about another 30 minutes. Right before they let everyone into the theater room, the manager came up to me and, very rudely, told me I had to leave because I did not have an ID. I explained to him I am of age to be going to the movie I was planning to see, but no I could not stay for the movie I paid for. I asked him for a refund and he gave it to me, but not the full amount paid. So not only did I not get to see the movie I paid for, I did not get the full amount back which I was owed. After an hour of waiting just to get kicked out, that is ridiculous and I do not recommend this theater to anyone. Any other theater in town is much better so spend your money there.

Theater is totally unreliable. For the last 2 years I have planned a big movie going experience to see my long awaited Hobbit. I Scheduled and put together a group of 20 plus people each year to see the movie on the Big D I even purchased tickets the first year. Only to have it bumped on Friday both years from the Big D to one of the smallest theaters in the building (I called and confirmed times on the Monday prior. I even got tickets on the prior year) . Last year it was bumped for Ronin (Ronin!!) I spent weeks preparing for this outing each year. Only to have one of my most looked forward to movie experiences destroyed by this theater & Carmike. I have been a long time patron of Carmike for decades. Carmike in the past has always offered a solid movie experience in a good to great theater for a reasonable price. I came across town to this theater bringing 20+ people 2 years running and on multiple other occations for the "Big D" experience. Only to have my most looked forward to releases destroyed. I will never support this theater or Carmike again.

I went to see a movie here over the weekend, and the staff completely ruined the experience. There were issues with the 3-D in the Big D theater, and instead of letting the audience know that they were aware of the problem and that it would be fixed for the film; they let us all sit there and stress over what was happening. Also, staff members walked in front of us 3 times during the show, for no apparent reason. It was jarring and completely pulled us out of the movie watching experience. Lastly, when the credits began and the house lights came up, the cleaning crew glared at audience members and bashed their brooms/dust pans together to signal that it was time to leave. So many films have extra scenes after the credits, and many of us like to stay to ensure that we dont miss any of that extra content. We should NOT be run off by impatient members of the theater staff. At 12 - 15 bucks a ticket, I should be allowed to watch it till the end. Terrible experience...I will not be going back. I would suggest another theater.

Went to see The Mockingjay part II. First the nice lady who took a large portion of my salary forgot to give me the kids meals I ordered. After straightening that out we proceeded to the showing. Five minutes after the posted start time of the move, the screen was widened and the show started..THEY STARTED PLAYING THE WRONG MOVIE. No previews nothing. Someone from the audience left the theater and had to fix the issue. Not after 20 or so minutes of some show about Texas AM football. Once The Mockingjay started there were these weird heat waves on the screen emanating from the lower left and right corners converging in the center. Like we were watching the movie down a desert highway. It was distracting to say the least. That phenomenon lasted the entire movie. I drive across town to attend this theater. This one experience is making me question that decision.

I wouldnt recommend this theater (even though my cousin works here and I get into the movies for free). I was there last week and dropped my wallet. The wallet was returned to me, but not before one of the employees swiped my debit card for $40 and stole the debit card. The theater is reimbursing me, but they need to make sure the people they are hiring arent common criminals. In addition, the concession stand snacks are all more expensive than the rest of the theaters in town. a medium popcorn is $725 and water is $5 for a large. Maybe its not, but with the stolen money, I cannot endorse this place. When I cancelled my card at the bank, the banker said he and his wife also went to that theater and had additional charges on their account, so this is definitely a chronic problem!

Ever since AMC decided to change their sodas and popcorn, Ive gotten to where I wont purchase them anymore. The all-in-one soda dispenser makes all sodas taste like what we called a Suicide 60 years ago. All sodas taste pretty much the same--like all flavors mixed together. Now, they have dropped Orville Redenbachers popcorn in favor of another brand--probably to save $0.01/pound--the new popcorn sucks. It pops smaller, and the kernels are more chewy with more tough husks. So, to save a penny a pound, they lost a customer that used to buy a large soda and a large popcorn about every two weeks. That costs them about $24/month in concession sales. They probably have to sell over a ton of popcorn to make up for sales lost to me alone. Their loss.

I came on a weekend in plenty of time for a 4 oclock film. However they will NOT sell you a ticket. You MUST go through the popcorn line to buy a ticket even if you dont want food. The line is very very slow. Cross between airport and Disney Land. On line for 10 minutes and only made a half loop in the roped off line. PS..If you buy on Fandango they told me it was ok just to go in. There is NO personell to check your ticket. The beer and wine line is shorter, but still you may miss your show. Theater nice and comfy however. I got in on Fandango. PS....if you go 3D you may need to go on the line to get your glasses, or struggle to get the attention of the popcorn people, and the scouls of the patrons online. Good luck

Worst movie theater experience ever. Why cant I rate zero? No signs instructing where to buy tickets. Had to ask another customer because no staff out front. So I have to stand in the concession line behind the fatties and families to buy my ticket. Great I dont want your overpriced crap but you make me stand and look at it. Then when we go into the theater it was lnsanely cold, at first. When the movie started, finally 25 minutes after the posted start time and Comercial all the way to the latest second, I get you have coke products, then the air conditioning went of and never came on again. Unbeatable heat and stuffy. They offered free passes to come back when I complained, like Im coming back, Ill take the refund thanks.
